Welcome to our house with garden (not in the Jordan area but in North Amsterdam), constructed in a classical Waterland style, with much privacy, , private bathroom, living/kitchen: magnetron, hot plate, cooker hood, fridge, coffee maker .TV/radio, DVD player, Wifi, central heating. Local maps and booklets for biking tours are in the bookshelf. In addition, books on local history, culture, architecture of Amsterdam, photobooks. DVDs on Amsterdam, Netherlands and general; many hours of classical and popular music on CD. In the attic: 1 double (140x200cm) and 1 single bed (90x200cm). In a separate room there are 2 single beds. This room, when not occupied, is my workingroom. The attic can be reached by a fixed staircase with a safe guardrail; small working table and cupboard.Garden with private terrace, not in view of the main house; barbeque, table etc. Bikes (4): available for free, including children seats, two locks per bike. Parking is free of cost. Public transport to the city centre is nearby (1500 m) or 25 min by bike through scenic Schellingwoude and Nieuwendam with a harbour crossing by free ferry (7x24). By car only 10 minutes to the Central Station or 5 minutes to the nearest P&R with bus and tram connections. Take a stroll, starting at the front door, get a breath of fresh air along the dykes of the IJsselmeer or the neighbouring waterlocks.The supermarket (300 m) is specialized in local, fresh, eco-products: sells all you need incl fresh bread and a small cafe/restaurant. The aerial "bird view" photo's show you exactly what you can expect.This is an eco-house: All electricity is solar and wind generated; rainwater-system for flushing toilets. Extra insulation of walls, roofs and windows. Heat recovery from shower.Owner is active in local eco activities.

House rules

Our house is in a quiet street. This is attractive for you and the neighbours. Therefor, no noise, and espcially after 22:00.
The premises are absolutely not suitable for parties.
