Booked this villa based on the photos & description for 'special' holiday. What a let down. Where do I begin? The kitchen sink was disgusting and plug would not stay put. Cupboards in kitchen and bathrooms were dirty. Glasses and crockery had lipstick stains on them from previous occupancy. Microwave didn't work. Tumble dryer vent was dirty and broken. Blinds in the living area still did not work correctly (see previous complaints). Mismatched blinds in second bedroom. Shower in second bathroom did not work properly. Paint on various pieces of furniture was dirty, chipped and flaking. There was a spare pillow in the wardrobe of the master bedroom that was stained and dirty to the point of making me feel sick every time I looked at it. Why keep it? Small black flies were everywhere particularly in the bathrooms. Wi-fi only worked if you were standing in front of the router. From reading the guest book we were not alone in making complaints about this apartment, some of them go back a number of years. The owner(s) really need to spend some of the money they earn in rent on bringing the apartment up to date with fresh paint and furniture/fittings. However the rental company did at least give a small refund after putting my complaint in writing (with photos taken for proof).

Since the start of the year, the owners have had a lot of upgrades done to the property - carpets professionally cleaned, all new mattresses, all new flat screen televisions, custom blinds installed throughout, and a brand new dryer! While we understand you did not have the best stay, we hope the compensation we discussed will help ease some of the shortcomings you experienced much earlier this year. “Beautiful Pictures- Big let down”

From the pictures and the brief description given we felt the rental would suite our needs for vacation. After arrival, it was quite small. The home was outdated with the dryer being a major concern. It took at least 120 minutes to dry 1 small load. The filter also was broken and posed a hazard in my opinion. The tub in the master bath would not plug. Wi-Fi was advertised-good luck...Water bugs were plentiful in the rooms and typically seeing a few is normal- this many was alarming. There was a small alligator in the lagoon in the back, which kept my children on the "look out". During the week we stayed it was the annual tree trimming which was most disturbing of all. Waking up at approx. 7am to chainsaws and workers yelling each day is not an idea of relaxation.

“Less than expected”

The air conditioner had to be replaced while we were there. The condo did not appear to have been cleaned, and the screens did not fit the windows properly so the windows could not be opened for outside ventilation. The carpeting was dirty and the furniture is very dated. The additional bedroom had a single bed that was totally uncomfortable and the mattress needed to be replaced. All in all I would not consider going back to this condo.
