“Great family vacation”
Easy to reserve. Good communication from owner and rental co. Clean. Close to Bethany Beach. 25 min drive to Ocean City. Nice pool. Only complaint would be rental co didn't have pool pass available at check in; however, it magically appeared there two hours later and we had to go back to pick up. Overall, great quiet place. Would rent again.
“Good value for a small family”
We rented Sunday to Sunday. When we got to the rental agent in Bethany Beach, they were closed. It was not clearly indicated how we would get our key and we were unable to reach them by phone. A little note with the contract to give us a heads-up about this and how to get in would have been nice. We did get the key but had a little panic attack after driving 3+ hours. The house had a nice spacious living room and a screened-in porch, perfect for evenings. However, the screen door to the porch was partially off and we were unable to get it on track so we removed it and put it behind the curtain. The master bedroom was a good size. The second bedroom had little space to walk, as the bed was close to each wall. Both queen-size beds were very comfortable. The bottom bunk in the third bedroom was very uncomfortable. (You could feel the springs coming up.) The kitchen was well-stocked although we could not find the cord to the electric frying pan and fitting more than 4 at the table was tight. The community pool was fantastic, enjoyed by both children and adults. The area around the pool was spacious with plenty of tables and chairs for relaxing. Unfortunately, we lost the pool pass or left it at the pool. A pool pass that attaches to the house key and is not paper would be a thoughtful idea for next year. The nature trail was hard to find, not clearly marked; and the trail was overgrown, making it nearly impossible to use unless in hiking gear. However, there was plenty of space to walk throughout the development and the residents were most friendly. The house covered our needs and was a bargain compared to other places in the area. The few inconveniences were well worth a relaxing stay in a beautiful home in a quiet community, close to everything.
This unit was perfect for our situation because of the location and proximity to the beach. We have family that live in Bethany Meadows which is the reason we wanted to rent there. The main complaint we have about the unit is the air conditioning. It is comfortable downstairs but it doesn't work very efficiently upstairs where all the bedrooms are located. We were there during a very hot week and although the owners have fans in all the bedrooms (which tells me they know there is a problem) the upstairs was pretty warm. We kept the drapes closed also.
Nice, clean, no issues. A little out of the way, but only about 2.5 miles to town. Very quiet complex with a pool.
We stayed at this 3 bedroom condo in august. Upon opening the door we noticed that the table in the kitchen was way too large for the space. The refrigerator door hit the table and if you pulled the chairs out you couldn't get around the kitchen. The fan in the living room was very dusty, and when we put it on dust flew everywhere. The carpet was stained in several places. The pantry door in the kitchen did not close as the wood floor is warped. The beds were uncomfortable especially if an adult is staying in the "bunk" bedroom. All the glasses needed to be washed. The screen porch is falling apart and needs repair. I have to say if the beach wasn't 5 minutes away and the pool area very nice the stay would have been even worse.
“Needs a good cleaning and repairs”
While the location of the house is quite convenient, I was very disappointed in the house's cleanliness and general state of repair. The carpets were very dirty turning my children's feet bottoms black requiring washing. Also many dishes in the cabinets were dirty and required rewashing before using. There were also broken glasses in the cabinets. The shower-head in the master bathroom leaked shooting water into the ceiling and the closet door in an extra bedroom was broken and almost feel on my elderly grandmother however these two issues were fixed promptly by Wilgus after a phone call. The stair railings outback could also use a some repair, as my 5 year old was coming back into the house she received 2 very large splinters in her hand. All in all it was a comfortable location and my large family was able to relax and enjoy each other however I would not recommend the house to anyone unless some major cleaning and repairs were made.
“Affordable & Comfortable”
During our search for an affordable beach rental we wanted one at a great affordable price that met our needs during vacation. It met them! It met the needs of 2 famlies enjoying our Summer Vacation. Short walk to the pool. Short drive to the beach. Quiet & clean location.
“A pleasant, leisurely experience.”
We had an enjoyable week at 10 Thistle Court. We have vacationed at Bethany 15 of the past 16 years, and have always stayed in or near Bethany Meadows (one stay at Beartrap Dunes). I liked this property, though not as much as some others. It was a little smaller, but it was clean and orderly and more than served our purpose for the week.
“Decent Place, although kind of Smelly (damp and mildewy)”
Not too bad for the $ and we only had a partial week, which was all we needed. The worst part was the water pressure in the master bath shower...awful!
Response from the manager Thank you for the feedback. We will have the shower head checked along with the smell?.
