“Wonderful vacation at this beach house!”
Perfect location to the beach and stores, pool, trolley, and biking for the kids! The unit was perfect for us - grandparents with married children and grandchildren. Beautifully decorated and well stocked kitchen with appliances, dishes, etc. The neighborhood is very quiet and great for 3 and 4 year olds to ride bikes. I inquired if the unit had a high chair and the realtor said no. Wish we would have known that there was one before we came so we didn't have to bring one.
“Bethany Beach Family Vacation”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 309C Holly Ct. The place was beautifully decorated and spacious enough to accommodate our family of six adults and four children. We had access to bikes, beach toys and chairs-the next trip we will leave ours at home. We used the outside grill several times for dinners and roasting marshmallows for the children. The house was close to the community pool, walking distance to the beach and town. This was our seventh year coming to Bethany Beach, and everyone agreed, this home met all of our needs. We would definitely come again.
This is the second year we stayed at 309c Holly Court. The house met our expectations and we are considering staying there next year. This year my son and his family (two girls) stayed with my wife and I through Monday evening. On Monday evening my daughter and son-in-law arrived. This 4 bedroom home accommodated our families well. I should point out that, as compared to other rentals we have stayed at in Bethany Beach, the downstairs looks better than average. Also the beds were very comfortable especially in the master bedroom. Also the house is centrally located, is an easy walk to the beach, and has an inviting pool we used most days. I do hope the owner adds a gas grill!
“Still dirty but reliable”
The house is beautifully decorated and there are tons of games, puzzles. Again, the house wasn't as clean as we would have liked. This is our 4th year at this home. We have gotten used to the dirt and the dirty feet we acquire!
We have stayed in several Bethany Proper townhomes and this is certainly one of the best! The decor was adorable and the house was able to support 3 small children and 6 adults.
“Enjoyable week away from home that felt just like home!”
This rental property was fully equipped with all that is needed when you are away from home. It is decorated so nicely, beds are comfortable, furniture throughout very superior, kitchen fully equipped, clean. The deck was nice, liked taking showers outside. Would like to use these accomadations again next year if available!
“Enjoyable vacation - but”
We have been coming to this house for at least three years and we always enjoy the home, its amenities and location. But this year we were sorely disappointed in the condition of the house. It was dirty. The floors could not have been washed - my one year old grandson's feet were back within ten minutes of being there. The half bath on the first floor had not been cleaned either. I feel sorry for the owners - they are paying good money to present their property in the best light and are not getting value for the money. As far as Wilgus is concerned - they could use an education on customer service. We had put a deposit down on the property and the next thing we know, we get a bill demanding payment in a week or the reservation is canceled. Prior years, we received written notice of when the payments were due. We were shocked to be treated this way ...has management of this company changed? Another point - when I went in to ask if our unit was ready - I was greeted with "Didn't you hear what I told the last person? " As I stated previously - did management change?
Response from the manager I have just read thiscomment on Flip Key. It is our policy, just like all real estate offices, to receive 50% deposit at the time of the reservation and the balance 30 days prior to check-in. I don't quite understand what she is referring to. I have been the Rental Manager for 17 years, so management did not change. We are asked all day Saturday from about noon on if the guest's unit is ready so they can check in early. I'm sure someone might have said something to the effect that she just told the prior guest the unit must be cleaned and ready first. I am sorry she felt slighted. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, have received numerous compliments from other guests, and have received multiple awards for our customer service. On behalf of my entire staff, I apologize to this guest for any misunderstanding.
“Delaware was great but the house was dirty”
When we got into the house it seemed to me the house cleaners just sprayed chemicals to make it smell good. The floors were not cleaned, maybe vacuumed but not washed. Dirty toilet brushes in the corner of the bathroom not in a container. Also dirty dishes in dishwasher. And also the first day I had to fix the sliding screen door wasn't working right. We did have a good time in Delaware the beaches were great. I will be coming back to Delaware but not at this house.
Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We apologize that you did not find the unit cleaned to your satisfaction. A rental clean is a surface clean and floors are "wet mopped" not "scrubbed". The toilet brushes (in every home) are located in the corners, near the toilets..??? I'm not sure how to respond to that...In the "evacuation" for the hurricane - the previous guest may have forgotten to run the dishwasher - for this we are sorry. As for the screen door...they pop off all the time, and we thank you for putting it back on track (the sand reeks havoc on the tracks)! Over all - we find this unit to be very nice, well appointed and other guests give this unit high marks. We hope that we can find you a unit that better suits your tastes next year.
“Great vacation home; nicely furnished, great location!”
The home was lovely, spacious and clean. The location of Bethany Proper is very nice. We also like having access to the pool and tennis courts. The only difficulty was the HD tv which was a bit difficult for us to use. Thw property man ager did send someone to help which was nice but we never could rent a dvd b/c we couldn't get that to operate properly.
