“Quiet, efficient & slope side. Needs some help, but did work for us!”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2017

Efficient & clean for a family of 4. Kids slept on the couch, all was fine. The refrigerator is ¾ size. The Window in living room (sliding door) faces directly onto the parking lot (as well as the window in the master bed). We were thankful that there was massive snowbank from the January weather, to keep the headlights off of the windows at night, though there is very little traffic here. The kitchen and living room area are not large, but they are as big as you need - there is room to sit at the kitchen counter, or the couch. The one upholstered chair in the living room is not comfortable as the bottom is falling out. The dining area table was plenty large enough for all of us to eat comfortably (could seat 6 - with 4 chairs and bench). The Kitchen cookware was sparse, but could easily be improved. More spices/ condiments would be nice. There was salt/pepper and olive oil. There just was not enough cookware for simple things like boiling a pound of pasta (an 8 qt pot is needed and a 12" saute' pan with a lid - minimum. There was a large, old enamel canning pot we were forced to use for most meals as it was the only thing large enough . Food storage items for leftovers were also sparse (not available). There was also not enough plates and glasses, in my opinion. We stayed for 4 nights. We have previously stayed in the building on 2 other occasions, both times for 4-5 nights. We like the building and the pool & hot tub across the parking lot. We like the access to the slopes, even though right of way is slow entry/exit hill. The ski lockers the basement are convenient. I'm a side sleeper and the bed was very firm, though likely acceptable to most. All in all, this was our least favorite condo we stayed in at Storm Meadows, partly because the lack of slope side view (faces the parking lot), and partly because the condo simply wasn't outfitted for a family of four to stay there for 4 days, imho. I would recommend it to others, provided the owners provide some additional cooking items, plates and glasses, and fix/replace the chair, as it was usually the seating for the 4th person to sit down (the cook/me!). The kitchen sink sprayer also leaked a bit after each use. This is a no frills, non-updated condo, but it works and can be a place to call home for a few days. Additional request - I don't know why every VRBO / AirBnB isn't equipped with Keurig Coffee maker - especially at ski resort. It would get used for coffee in the morning and hot chocolate for the kids after skiing - just my $.02!

“Convenient”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2017

This is the second condo we've stayed in in Club B. Overall, very nice, but needed some maintenance attention. Supplied management with list of items. They apologized and promptly sent someone to fix/clean most items - some items will have to wait for a maintenance window. Skiing in is convenient. Skiing out is too, if you're not scared easily and can use your edges well - parts of the descent are a bit steep, narrow, with a sharp 100 degree turn at the end - all of which can get a bit slick with a warm day and freezing night. Most skiers won't have an issue with it, but some not confident in their skills may elect to walk down. And, that's OK. The spa incudes a nicely appointed workout room, sauna, hot tub and pool - sometimes a mother moose and a couple calves may be nearby, too. The pool is a bit cool for me, at least for winter swimming. Expect in summer it would be fine. The hot tub is at perfect temp and a place to meet some interesting people from all over, and have some great conversations. At certain times, its empty - and that can be nice, too. The spa managers are great to talk with - having recommendations for favorite restaurants, runs on the mountain, etc. Very interesting to learn about them - their stories are all different, but they all stayed in Steamboat. Shuttle service is great - usually waiting 10 minutes and most often times less than 5 minutes. And, the drivers are excellent, friendly and helpful. After 5:00 pm, they start making runs into town. If you need to go during the day, you can take a shuttle to the base of the ski area and pick-up a city shuttle, for free. Shuttle drivers accept tips - be prepared - last year, we weren't and I ran out of cash, feeling bad every time I stepped off the shuttle. I probably wasn't the first in that situation, but came prepared this year. Though I would recommend this to a friend, I'm basing this on the overall experience which really was great, for 15 days including 14 days of skiing in a row, a record for me. CB216 itself is a bit tired, in need of some care, was not in as good shape as previous rental. So, I would set expectations, accordingly. Also, based on the response I received from management, would be surprised if they did not complete the rest of the work. One other positive - from the number of cars in the parking lot, Club B must have been close to full occupancy, yet we had zero issues with noise. Got a good nights rest, every night. Seems like Steamboat skiers are there to ski, not to party late - they'd rather be up early to catch the best conditions. We will be back, and part of me would like to stay somewhere new, for a change. But after two stays in Club B, the last being for 2 weeks, it's starting to feel like we're part of the community.

“Disappointed!”

Reviewed 23 Mar 2016

Looks nice online but not as updated as it appears. It is a first floor location which dark and in winter maths with NO view. Kitchen has very few decent pots and pans. Mattress and bedding, pillows in bedroom are well worn and need updating.

You canceled my reservation and when I got there i had no room. NOt sure how you were able to do that as I had a confirmation number and you charged my account. You then were able to get a refund on a nonrefundable reservation. It was awful

Room was nice. The pool attendant was very rude and a reason we will not be staying at Storm Meadows again.

“More than expected!”

This was one of he best vacations I've had, and alot has to do with the condo we stayed in. It was very clean and neat. Has a great location with ski in/ ski out access. The shuttle service was also very convenient. I will definitely be coming back to this place!
