“Amazing!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2012

My husband and I rented this cabin for a week of exploration and relaxation. This cabin offered it all - and more! With a 30-40 minute drive, we were at the entrance to Yellowstone National Park which allowed us to do much exploration in our attempt to see as much wildlife as possible. The cabin was also close to hiking trails within Yellowstone and Gallatin National Forest. We spent some of our time relaxing at the cabin hanging out on the river, making use of the back porch and hot tub every night. I would definitely recommend this cabin and rental group. Everything was easy to set up and the cabin was equipped with everything we needed.

“Great home. Great location. Great time.”

Loved, loved this house and the great people in charge of arranging everything. The house was fully equipped -- even more so than other vacation rentals I've stayed in. We loved the nice location along the river and the proximity to Yellowstone. And, the hot tub, who could forget about that? We had an amazing time!

“Peaceful”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2012

We enjoyed our stay at the Yellowstone lookout. It was relaxing and peaceful. However, we do have a few suggestions/comments. We could not find the highchair where it was suppose to be located. The bridge down to the water could use some repair. There were so many rules for the hot tub and warnings of being fined, that we decided not to use it. It was one of the main reasons we chose the place. That aspect was not very welcoming. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the vacation rental to others. Thank you, -Heidi Pecoraro

Response from the manager Hello Heidi - Thank you for your review of your stay at Yellowstone Lookout. We're sorry that your visit wasn't absolutely perfect and your candid comments will help us to make things even better for future guests. Yes, the bridge is planned to be fixed this spring. Thank you for letting us know about the missing booster seat. I so wish that you'd called to let us know as we could have brought another right over for you. And regarding the hot tub signage, we definitely want guests to use and enjoy it. That's what it's there for. We're so sorry for the harsh message; we'll review it and revise our wording! Again, thank you for your feedback and we hope that you'll be back soon. Best regards - Suzy Hall, owner of Mountain Home Vacation Rentals

“Finally-a restful vacation!”

It was so relaxing to stay in a wonderful home with great views, comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen & dog friendly! Being able to cook all our meals, do our laundry & fish was exceptional. To walk into a home which was already nicely heated was a pleasure. The only downside was the wind!

“Activity filled as well as relaxing.”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2011

I would say that the Mountain Home was awesome. The view was amazing, it was nice being ore secluded, and of course the hot tub at the end of each day. We saw alot of 'Ynp' and there is still sooo much more to see. I can't wait to come back. The only complaint I have is the distance to and from the North Entrance of the park. Even though it wasn't too far I think the description on the website said it was about a half hour to the park and it really took us about and hour to get there. So we did plenty of driving from the time we left home (New Berlin, WI) and throughout the entire week we were there.

“This was a spotless home, gorgeous and convenient location!”

This being our first trip to Montana we wanted to make it worthwhile. Mountain Home offered us all the ammenities of home at an affordable price. The home was very spacious, well stocked and clean. The views at night were awesome. The river was high when we stayed, so we didn't get to enjoy it from our home but the hot tub was put to good use.

“Relaxing and Fun!”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2011

Loved the location - very quiet and pleasant. The only drawback was the river is right there but you can't really go to it because the bushes are grown up so much. But, doesn't matter because Paradise Valley is just that, Paradise! Tons of activities for kids - we went in the summer and it was just a blast. The house was comfortable with open spaces, lots of room and nice big windows to take advantage of the view. The boys could ride their bikes down the street and it was very safe place to hang out. Planning our next trip to Montana now!

“Wonderful Montana Family Experience!!!”

We had an extended family reunion - some people not together for 10 years. Amazing place to stay and what a wonderful location. We were lucky enough to meet the owners of the property when we checked in - they were great. Very wonderful memories!!

“Blown away by the Lookout!”

This is a very beautiful cabin to stay in while seeing Montana. It's a great base camp for going to Yellowstone, Chico Springs, fishing, and just seeing the sights of Montana. The people around town are very friendly also.

“Beautiful Home with Great Location”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2011

We spent one week at this property (February 12 - 20, 2011). This house was even better than expected. The setting was beautiful. It overlooked the mountains on both sides and stood very close to the Yellowstone River. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The home was very clean and comfortably furnished. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to store all of our "stuff" without tripping over it all the time. The kitchen had everything needed even down to salt, pepper, paper towels, etc. We also loved the hottub. It was very relaxing after a day of exploring. Our adventure incuded dogsledding with absaroka which was a blast. We would highly recommend this to anyone. We split our visit with a 2 night trip to the Snow Lodge at Old Faithful. This is also very highly recommended. The house is only about 45 minutes from the North/Gardiner entrance of Yellowstone. We saw lots of wildlife on the way (which is one of the reasons it takes about 45 minutes to get there due to being cautious when driving to look out for deer and elk crossing the road). The town of Livingston had a nice albertson's for any grocery needs. We ate at the Rib and Chop House in Livingston. Fantastic food!!! Don't miss it. I had some of the best seafood I've ever had in Livingston, MT...go figure! You won't be disappointed with this home or it's location!!
