“Quit, surene, peaceful and beautiful cabin.”

Reviewed 17 Oct 2013

Loved our stay the cabin is clean and well kept. Would stay again.

“Wonderful stay!”

The directions to the house where're perfect. Everything on the website was totally accurate. The house had more supplies then expected. ( paper towels, spices, plenty of bath towels :) We would recommend that the fry pans and pots be replaced as the Teflon was in bad shape and not usable. There where a few unexpected guests (mice) but it is remote so we dealt with them by laying out some traps. The views where amazing. We where close to a lot of activites, Yelowstone, horseback riding, fishing. But, removed enough not to have to deal with neighbors.

“Lovely cabin but the road from the highway was worse than expect”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2013

The cabin exceeded my expectations. Lots of room. Comfortable furniture. Great views. The cattle grazing close to the house was a plus. Saw a black bear by the creek twice when driving down from the cabin. The big negative was the road - lots of rocks. The first couple of miles were like driving on a washboard. Bad enough to make us think twice about going anywhere due to worry of the wear and tear on our 4 wheel drive truck. Ironically, some grater work was done the day we left.

“Amazing View!”

What an amazing vacation! As mentioned in an earlier post - the drive to the house does require a vehicle with 4X4 capabilities for sure. However, when you pull into the drive way and walk on the deck - all that is forgotten. My family loved the morning views from the deck and enjoyed the proximity to Livingston, Yellowstone and Chico Hot Springs. Counting the days until our next visit!

“secluded and comfortable”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2011

this cabin is immaculate, spacious and beautifully situated. i recommend it if you are looking for a mountain stay, close to yellowstone national park. the cabin is well appointed and well equipped. it is very secluded. it is 6 miles off the main road and you will need a large all wheel drive vehicle. this is my only criticism. i wish the company had advised on the vehicle we needed to arrive at the cabin. some of the tracks are very rough. we had a puncture during the first week which we were able to get fixed in livingston, which is about 40 miles away. but it was great to wake up to silence or the sounds of woodpeckers and watch the weather change from the porch of the house. we were a party of 3 but i think it would accomodate 6 comfortably.

Response from the manager Hello "Jem from Wales" - Thanks for your nice comments on your stay at Hyalite Creek Cabin. We also love that whole world sort of view that you get up there. And, thank you, too, for letting us know how you fared on the road to the cabin. We will, indeed, suggest to future guests that they consider a beefier vehicle than a sedan. We hope that you'll be back soon. Best - Suzy Hall owner of Mountain Home

“Total Montana experience”

the cabin was beautiful and very clean. although we wanted seclusion, not having TV or phone service was a little hard! the view from the deck was fantastic and the drive up the hill was georgeous!
