“Magic Mountain air!”
My group and I loved, loved, loved the cabin. The cabin is furnished with so much personal detail. We hiked the mountain, went to a concert DT, and toured the Highland Brewery. The cabin was so close to everything but still very private. If you visit the cabin, use the grill! (trust us it makes everything taste amazing!). It was a great way to de-stress after a busy year. Each morning we all woke up with tons of energy, any and all of our ailments were gone, and all felt so well rested. We all agreed that it must be the magic of the mountain air!
“Loved the trees and creek”
It was great waking up in the morning listening to the creek and seeing tree tops out every window. The house was comfortable and clean. The bar chairs were in need of repair and the dowels were coming loose. That could have created a fall so we just left a note about that for the property managers. Property managers provided good instructions to find the place which could be a challenge the first time there especially in the dark. It's a very easy drive into asheville for all the things to do there. We've been to the asheville area several times but not to the Black Mountain area. That was a quaint little town to visit. I've already forgotten the name of the pizza place there but it was fabulous and quite popular. We had a fun trip to Craggy Pinnacle off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's over 5000 feet so bring the right clothes. We had a surprise snow shower while we there. Fantastic views. We did hike a little ways just off the driveway and thankfully didn't see any bears! The internet connection was off and on but hopefully you are there for relaxation and getting unplugged anyway.
“Amazing Rental Property - Perfect location”
We stayed at this house for a quick weekend getaway with friends. The house was perfect for 6 of us. We got in on a Friday and stocked up on groceries at the Ingles nearby and cooked a delicious meal on the outdoor grill. The next morning we went on a hike. We couldn't really find the trail after one part but "just went up" the mountain & had a blast. The location was convenient to downtown asheville. We also toured the Highland brewery. Being a property manager myself, I truly enjoyed how well maintained the home was. Everything was extremely clean, the management company was a breeze to work with and the house could not have been cozier. We loved the attention to detail and personal touches throughout the house. We are already planning our next trip!
“Enjoyed Our Visit”
Very nice, spacious, and clean home. Great location with Ingles grocery store and gas station just a few miles away. The house is located on a private road which was nice so we did not have to worry about the dogs as much. Folk art Center with the Mountain to Sea Trail only a few miles away as well as the Craven Gap Trail. We did not venture out on the trail leading from the house since the access to it was overgrown during our visit. Loved listening to the creek outside. The only real complaint that we had was that the beds were too firm for our tastes. It would also be nice if recycling bags could be made available.
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Creekside! It was just what we needed for our 'girls' getaway. Sitting on the porch visiting and listening to the creek below was so relaxing and made our time together so memorable.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great. The nicest rental I have been in. The reviews and pictures were very true. Loved the house and to be honest - thrilled to not see a bear.
This was just what we were looking for and needed. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek and we loved waking up to the sound of it every morning. We enjoyed the closeness to the Blue Ridge Parkway to be able to see nature at its finest.
“bears in the driveway!”
my daughter and I stayed for a week. perfect location. Ten minutes to downtown asheville but at the cabin you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. lots of good hiking trails. and yes, three bears in the driveway one morning! perfect stay.
“Remote yet convenient to downtown and grocery.”
Our group of 6 adults was very comfortable in this home. Great kitchen for gathering and nice dining area. You felt very remote yet we were so close to downtown and Ingles is just down the hill. Had a great time.
We had a great time staying at The Creekside Mountain home. It was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed a great hike up to the Blueridge Parkway right from the end of the driveway. Our children enjoyed playing in the babbling creek. Ashville is always alot of fun with alot of good food and drink to be had. We would certainly return to this rental.
