“Wow...tulip Cottage is great!!!”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2014

We rented Tulip Cottage in Black Mountain, NC Christmas week 2013 from Greybeard Rentals. We were very pleased!!! The cottage is beautifully furnished and the floors amazing. We especially enjoyed the beautiful electric fireplace in the living room...made us all warm and cozy (especially the first two days and it was cold and raining). My husband and I had the downstairs bedroom and bath and our daughter and her husband had the upstairs bedrooms (2) and bath all to themselves. We loved the area and could have walked to downtown Black Mountain if it had not been so cold. We loved our Christmas vacation spent at Tulip Cottage and hope we can do it again!!!

This is a great house for people needing a three bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, and washer/dryer. If you have someone in your family that is disabled, this cottage may not be the right choice, because you do need to negotiate some stairs getting in and out of the house. Everything thing else is perfect, nice screened in porch, and comfortable living spaces. The Cottage is located in a great tree-lined neighborhood, convenient to take short walks around a beautiful lake. Also easy access to Black Mountain and asheville

“We loved Tulip Cottage”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2013

We totally enjoyed our long weekend at Tulip Cottage. The owners did a wonderful job building and decorating this house. The weather in Black Mountain was perfect. We had many long walks around Lake Tomahawk and enjoyed the short walk to the charming downtown. Our daughter lives in Black Mountain, so we've been there before. However, this time we brought our good friends with us. They loved it! We'll definitely be back.

“Very nice home in a residential neighborhood”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2013

The home was very nice/cozy. Outstanding kitchen area. The interior was modern yet still had rustic touches. You have neighbors on both sides without trees in between and are in an old residential neighborhood, and you don't have a view. If you don't mind that, I highly recommend it.

“Lovely home! Great screened in porch. Close to everything.”

The house was clean and comfortable and well equipped. We will definitely book this home again.

“What a wonderful house!”

We wanted to rent a cabin in the mountains but we chose to rent in Black Mountain instead and I'm glad we did. This is a wonderful little house with some great amenities. We enjoyed the town because it was small and charming--the restaurants, shops and taverns were perfect for our family--low key and yet they offered a great selection in gifts, food and spirits. We were able to travel to asheville for a day of sightseeing and were also able to enjoy the local scenery. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

“Great Place to Stash Extra Family Members!”

Hosted a wedding shower with out of town guests, so rented Tulip Cottage for two nights for some of the overflow from my own home. Very well equipped, nicely decorated and conveniently located only 2 short blocks to my house and just as near to Lake Tomahawk and downtown Black Mountain. The only constructive feedback I heard from guests staying there was that bedroom mirrors would be a good addition so that some can do their hair & makeup in the bedrooms without taking up valuable bathroom space. Also, there are quite a few stairs to get up to the front porch and stairs inside to reach 2 bedrooms on second floor (but there is one first floor bedroom), so anyone with knee problems may want to know this.

“Great Getaway”

We needed a place to stay for three nights close to asheville. This pet-friendly cabin was modern, brand new, and very comfortable. It is located in a quiet older neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Black Mountain. It was the perfect "homebase" to explore asheville (less than 10-15 min away by interstate), the surrounding Blue Ridge Parkway hiking trails, and the wonderful small town of Black Mountain. The folks at Greybeard Rentals were great. The rental process was very smooth.

“A nice, relaxing stay in Black Mountain, NC.”

We stayed at Tulip Cottage in Black Mountain, NC. And, what a beautiful cabin! We loved the place and enjoyed our stay. We took walks around Lake Tomahawk and fed the ducks. We even walked into town for some ice cream at Kilwin's. Honestly, we loved everything except that we love scenic mountain views and this cabin did not offer a view. We enjoy waking up to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains, as well as sunsets in the evening, and Tulip Cottage is not in a location to enjoy those views. Other than that, it was perfect and we truly enjoyed our stay!

“We had an absolutely wonderful Father's Day weekend!”

Tuilp Cottage is a great place to stay for a trip to Black Mountain. It is conviently located to downtown and Tomahawk Lake. It is also just a very short trip to Montreat. Greybeard Rentals is awesome. They provide great customer service and they make the check-in process and check-out process very easy.
