“overall good”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2013

The location and views were wonderful. The grounds immaculately maintained. The manager of the development was very helpful and friendly. The layout of the condo was very nice with a wonderful balcony overlooking pool and beach. My only negative was on clealiness and overall maintenace of the unit. Walls were very scuffed up needed touch up painting - Mold in bathrooms - especially the master. We purchased Chlorox cleanup and went to work on the bathrooms. There was also a pillow with blood on it left on the master bed. Again, overall it was very good and we would consider going back.

Response from the manager 509 Sea Cloisters will make a dream vacation for anyone interested in a beautiful, well-equipped, oceanfront villa on Hilton Head Island. That said, we are in the field everyday of the week providing any and all remedial services that may arise during our valued guest's stay. Cleanliness and all equipment in working is paramount and we will react immediately if attention is required. I have reviewed the critiques from the 2013 reviews and all concerns had been addressed going into the 2014 season as evidenced by the lack of criticism. Unfortunately, most people do not write about that "perfect" stay. Brian Goode Owner & Broker-in-Charge

“October Vacation”

Reviewed 16 Oct 2013

Our recent vacation on HH was great! We stayed at 509 Sea Cloisters which is centrally located on the island. More importantly we were right on the beech. In my opinion early October is the best time of year to visit HH. You can still swim in the ocean and the weather is perfect. I'd recommend to others to take advantage of this great venue and all it has to offer.

“Great location”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

We love Sea Cloisters, and have stayed in another unit, which we liked better than this one. This unit could use some deep cleaning, and a couple of repairs. While we were there the sliding glass door from the main room to the balcony was coming apart. The metal frame was coming away from the glass, which seemed vary unsafe, especially with four children wanting to go in and out. We eventually stopped using it. Once it's fixed, should not be an issue, because the views are wonderful! Also, the dishwasher is a real pain, the top rack was broken and fell onto the lower one a couple of times. Again, could be a quick fix. Upstairs mattresses were not very comfortable, but no one complained about the others. We love the Sea Cloisters office staff, and will try to rent from them in the future.

“Beach Time”

Good location and view. Nice to have plenty of convenient parking. We reported problems to Goode property manager about deteriorating blankets that couldn't be used and didn't receive replacements all week.

“We had a very enjoyable stay!”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2013

We loved staying at the Sea Cloisters! It is a lovely place, very equipped and furnishes. The grounds are beautiful and the children were especially surprised to find there were sand toys in the bench near the pool for them to use. If I had to offer any suggestions I guess I would say-so there needs to be a better can opener, maybe an electric one. We all came close to injuring our hands trying to use the manual ones that were provided. Also, the dryer was very slow drying the clothes. We cleaned the lint filter several times but item didn't help. We were provided plenty of bath towels, but only a couple of dish towels/ cloths. We tried to keep them washed, along with other clothing, but drying them was a chore. I would suggest providing plenty of dish towels and cloths. Other than that, it is a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!

“Fantastic view, close to ocean, family, fun, sun, great memories”

We loved this unit... It was perfect for our family of 10... 6 adults and 4 children! We found it clean and well kept, plenty of pots and pans and dishes ( we eat in most nights and take turns making great gourmet dinners... So fun) everything we needed even a garlic press was provided! The washer and dryer were so handy and worked perfectly. On the morning of July 4th we called to have one of the bathroom sinks cleaned out and they were there within an hour to fix it! You can't ask for more than that. It was the the perfect place to stay for the perfect family beach vacation... We will be back next year! :)

“Great Location but unit needs work”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2013

We had a good time on our vacation but this unit was not great. The location is fabulous and the view is great. The unit itself needs lots of updates. The sliding door in the living room was broken the whole time we were there. If you tried to use it came off the track. We called this in and were told the whole thing needed replacing that he could not fix and would let the management know. They never called us back about the door. The dryer was broken and would not work when we got there. We called this in and they sent someone again but he told us that he would trip the fuse but it would not stay fixed. It kept braking and thankfully we knew how to trip the fuse so that we could use the dryer while we were there. The dishwasher was broken, all the wheels were off and at times you had to run it 3 times to get the dishes clean. The microwave broke while we were there. At this point we decided to call the company to let them know what problems we had and they offered nothing to help. I am not sure that I would ever rent from them again. All we expected was for things to be resolved while we were there but nothing ever was.

“Summer Vacation”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2013

We had a wonderful week in Hilton Head. The beach and pool areas were very nice. Our unit was clean but needs some updating. The dryer didn't work which made laundry a chore. Overall I liked the building but would likely look for another unit.
