“Best vacation in years”
Exceeded expectations across the board - can't wait til next year!!
“Thanksgiving to Remember”
Our family experience in the Outer Banks was very enjoyable. We celebrated Thanksgiving vacation in this awesome home. Gone to Carolina offered several amenitites for cross age comfort. We all loved being so close to the beach and the Community clubhouse. Our kitchen was well stocked with all the essential cooking utensiles which greatly added in preparation of our holiday dinner. Location was preminum, the outlet shopping, movies and duck Donuts!! Neighbors are very helpful with additional information regarding the area. True Southern hospitality!! We all look forward to our next visit to Duck
“Outstanding, in every way!”
First, Outerbanks Banks Blue is absolutely the easiest company to work with when vacationing in OBX. Keyless check-in/entry is the only way to go! The house was clean, linens and towels provided, and the pool and hot tub were well maintained. The house has a great floor plan, with the main living space and kitchen on the third floor...with great decks and a screened in porch. The main master suite is also on the third floor. The second floor has four bedrooms, two w/private bathrooms, and two that share a bathroom...one of these rooms is a bunk room, so it's a good arangement for parents with kids. Second floor also has great decks with two bedrooms that have a sliding door for private access to the decks. Also, all decks face south and overlook the pool/volleyball area. The first floor has one bedroom with a full size bed and a twin bunk. The first floor also has a nice casual TV room, bathroom, and a laundry room. The house came with nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs, but bring your own umbrellas. The house location was awesome...you literally don't have to drive, unless you want to. Everything you need is within walking distance...beach, bay, groceries, restruants, and the ol' watering holes. Duck has great walking and bicycling paths, wide enough so you don't have to worry about getting swiped by passing cars. All in all, the home is well maintained, well equipped, perfectly located, and can sleep several families with room to spare. We had twelve people, and we still had an extra bedroom and sleeping space. There is enough room to mingle in the common areas, without feeling cramped, and still escape to privacy, if you need to. I recommend this house...and will return in the future.
“The best week of my life!”
I rented Gone to Carolina to host my wedding party for our Outer Banks wedding celebration. It provided a comfortable, fun setting for my 15 friends to relax and enjoy the festivities. Outer Banks Blue makes renting easy. From a well-designed website to great costumer service, the booking process was a breeze. The lovely home with linens included were as perfect as expected. Thanks for being a part of the best week of my life!
“Love the house but furnishings and carpet tired”
This was our 2nd year at the house. There are 14 of us and the house provides loads of room. The children love the pool and prosimity to the beach. Adults appreciated the ability to walk to resturants and coffee. The only issue is the stained carpet and the furniture in the great room which is shabby and looks soiled. The kitichen was great.
“Almost a perfect week !”
Our third year visiting the Outer Banks but first at Gone to Carolina. We both get our kids and significant others together and had a house full of 12. Her daughters come from NC and Ga while mine are all from NY as are we.House was great with the pool, hottub and volleyball; as well as close proximity to the ocean and the "downtown" area of Duck for dinner, shopping, etc. Only problem if you want to call it that was it got into the 90"s everyday which made walking on the sand "too" hot,lol while the ocean water was bone-chilling cold. But walking the beach early morning or evening was still beautiful and we had the pool for swimming. Add the clubhouse in the cul-de-sac and you could get a morning workout before takin g on the day. All in all a great time at a great home!
“Family beach fun”
This is a wonderful home. The kids had a great time. The living area, kitchen and bedrooms were comfortable. My one complaint was that there was that there was really only one King Master bedroom. We went with another family and expected the accomodations to be the same for both families. Also there were many cobwebs on the porch which made sitting outside a little unappealing and unfortunately, the sliding door of our bedroom did not lock which was uncomfortable.
“Family Fun time”
Every aspect of our rental was excellent, from the Outer Banks Blue Realty Co, straight down to the various "little comforts of home" (such as great kitchen utensils/cookware that the owner shared with us). We love the area, so family friendly and such a nice sense of community.
We had a great time on our first visit to the Outer Banks. We loved the beach, volleyball, shopping in downtown Duck, and the watersports nearby. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated.
Overall it was very nice! Had some issues with the hot tub, and it wasnt fixed right, but the service man was very nice and sociable, and a man named Tim even took the time to stop by and assure us he was going to take care of the problem. That personal service really goes a long way. I have rented with outerbanks blue in the past and will continue to use on future vacations.
