“We've stayed here at least 4 times - should say something about how we feel.”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2014

Very comfortable place, great for dogs and people. Location is very good, away from crowds at SHARC or the Village but close to the Country Store. Kitchen well-equipped though the stove needs upgrading. Burners uneven. Bed in master on the soft side. Nice deck and hot tub. We obviously like this rental despite quibbles. Comfortable chairs and couch in living room. Close to walking paths. We've brought a number of dogs here over the years and they love the area off the patio in back. The house is a tad dark, but again, quibbling. Oh, also be nice to have a dish drainer for the kitchen sink. Great wood stove, plenty of wood and kindling. Bennington rentals are the best.

Response from the manager Dear Guests, We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay in Pine Mountain 8. As a long time guest, your feedback is even more important as you know this house better than most, having stayed often. I have relayed your suggestions on the stove and master bed mattress to the owners. I am happy that your dogs were able to join you as well. As you know, we love our canine guests as much as our human guests. We hope to see you again soon! Christina Guest Services Coordinator

“Best. Cabin. Ever.”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2014

We've stayed at a lot of vacation rental homes and 8 Pine Mountain Lane was one of the best. The owners have thoughtfully and pragmatically stocked the cabin. The size was perfect for the four of us and my teenage daughters loved having the back of the house to themselves. It was both comfortable and cozy. We experienced some weird weather the week were were there -it went from 90 degrees to 50 degrees- so we appreciated the fans and the fireplace all in the same visit. The recent updates (tiles, floors, curtains, etc.) are lovely as well. We enjoyed the bikes, the hot tub, the TVs/radio, and the decks. I also was very impressed with Bennington Properties and their attention to detail. Their customer service was STELLAR. The doggie "welcome package" was adorable and our dog didn't want to leave. (Really. He wouldn't load up in the truck. He just sat on the front door mat and refused to go.) Thank you 8 Pine Mtn. Lane owners and Bennington for a wonderful vacation.

Our family just loved the rental property at Pine Mountain Lane! It was close to the village and Ft. Rock Park. Perfect for the kids and dog! The quaintness of the rental made us feel like we were truly have a getaway for the weekend. We would recommend this to any family of four and animals. Looking forward to our next stay in Sunriver!

“Great little house”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2013

This was a great little house (cabin?) centrally located near Fort Rock Park in Sunriver. Walking distance to the grocery store on Cottonwood and a quick five minute drive to get coffee at Bella Tazza early in the morning. Out the back door was the bike path.

“A nice, comfortable place away from home.”

Renting from Bennington is easy, and they really go out of their way to make your stay nice and easy. The rental house was clean and nice, just right for my wife and I. We will remember this place and likely go back. Thanks for everything.

“As always, Sunriver has never let us down.”

The rental came well equipped to stay for the week. The staff at Sunriver are helpful and friendly. Bennignton Properties did a wonderful job making sure the rental was ready to occupy and the property maintained inside and out. Look forward to staying at Sunriver in the future.

Response from the manager Dear Mark, So glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay and that 8 Pine Mountain was a good match for your needs. We hope Ginger and Copper had a good time too! We look forward to seeing you again soon! Christina Guest Services Coordinator Bennington Properties

Dear Bennington, We really loved our time at 8 Pine Mountain. It had the perfect layout for our family. Open childrens room right next to the parents room. Lovely kitchen. Very clean and nicely decorated. My son-in-law is a gourmet cook and had a great time cooking up wonderful meals in your well stocked kitchen. We really appreciated your attentiveness to getting us a third bicycle when we asked. Loved having the classical radio on when we arrived. Nice touch. We will probably always reserve this unit as it fit our needs so well. If people want a more intimate unit, this one works well. If they need more space another unit might work for them. The only suggestion I have is I love to see a happy staff. Customer service is everything to our family, absolutely everything. And I like to think the staff is having a good time too. Good grief it is so beautiful there everyone should enjoy. Again thank you for the best vacation ever.

Response from the manager Dear Hally, Thank you so much for taking the time write a review about your recent stay at 8 Pine Mountain. We are so pleased to hear that you had a wonderful vacation and that the property perfectly suited your family's needs! We love what we do and we aim to please! Also, we really appreciate our guests' feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon on your next Sunriver vacation! Best regards, Christina Guest Services Coordinator Bennington Properties

“Great value for family get away”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2013

Really enjoyed our stay. Few things to improve the place would be some knifes need to be sharpened in kitchen they all were dull. New upgraded bed spreads. The cheap polyester ones just feel like a cheap motel. Also the pollen bloom which i assume is from the juniper trees left a horrible layer of filth on everything outside chairs, tables, deck, driveway, BBQ. It made everything feel dirty. Also, location of hottub on desperate deck in back was awkward. Besides these few things the place was great.

Response from the manager Thank you so much for your comments about this home. It appears that you did enjoy yourself, despite the dull knives and"cheap motel" bedspreads. We will pass your comments on to the owners and will encourage them to make some improvements in the areas you suggested. Unfortunately, Sunriver is located in the forest of pine trees. For about 3-4 weeks around June we live with the pollen that seems to literally "fall from the skies". It is pine tree pollen (ponderosas and lodge pole) not juniper (or we would not have so much all over the place). You should see our cars and driveways and porches by the end of pollen season. We would literally have to go hourly to the homes to keep on top of it. We appreciate our guests understanding during this pollen season time. It is also a time that we wish for rain to fall to clean up all the yellow pollen in the area after the season is over (and we have had that the last couple of days- yea!) The community prides itself in being a "Tree City" year after year, but accepting the pollen is part of the burden we carry for a couple of weeks. Thank you so much for your business. If the pollen does bother you, I would suggest staying away from a June visit to the area next time. Penny Bennington

“First timers”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2013

It was our first time to go to Sunriver and we were there for a wedding with a toddler and a baby. We had an amazing time. the weather was incredible, and the experiences something we will remember forever. It was such a treat to have this house to call home while we were there. It provided us with the comforts of home while being so far away. We had a great stay. We loved having a kitchen stocked with dishes and everything we would need and the house was comfortable. Well done. We loved having the passes to go to the aquatic center. Keep that up!

Response from the manager We love impressing "First Timers!" Thank you for your feedback, Heather! We hope to see you and your family again soon. Robert Bennington

It was wonderful. Quiet, roomy, private. Hot tub was private and great. Next to a bike trail, so we didn't have to go far. The bikes were good. Everything worked. Lots of towels. Perfectly clean. No complaints at all.
