“Convenience in Vieques”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2014

The first impression of the Bravos De Boston neighborhood can seem chaotic, but that is part of the charm of Vieques. The Bravos Boyz do a great job of easing first timers into this Vieques experience starting with meeting you at the airport, assisting with getting you to the rental car facility and to the property. This well organized introduction makes for an easy transition into the rest & relaxation phase of the trip. The property is clean and has many amenities for around the property, the pool, the grill, and the beach.

“Deep Relief”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2014

From the moment we were met at the airport and throughout our stay we were with comfortable friends. The house was large and small enough to fit quite right Food and drink was on hand when we arrived and arrangements to have excellent meals delivered was easy. I imagine this is what Key West was like when Hemmingway lived there, somewhere important but at a better pace.

“Wonderful place to stay on Vieques!”

Reviewed 12 Feb 2014

We had a fabulous vacation on Vieques. We were very pleased with our choice of Bravos Beach Cottages - Moonrise. The house is very comfortable and clean. It works quite well for two couples because of the layout of the cottage. The Bravos Boyz staff was very responsive the few times we called to ask questions or request an item for the house. The TV gets lots of channels but it is very small (the only disappointment because the Super Bowl was on). The showers were difficult to manage...so be prepared to have a Hot/cold shower. Otherwise the place was really great! The pool and the grill were both great! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

“Great house and well worth the price!”

Reviewed 9 Dec 2013

I recently stayed at the Bravos Beach Cottages - Moonrise with 5 of my friends. It was a well sized home which fit all of us comfortably. We had the house to ourselves and saw little of those staying at the second home on the compound. Laura picked us up at the airport. She was great and very flexible with the pickup time since we missed our first charter flight and got on a different one an hour later. She even scheduled with our car rental guy to be there as well so that all of us could have a ride to the car rental office. The house was nice and we had our own gate entrance and place to park so we felt pretty secluded. The house was close to Isabel II so we could get groceries fairly easily. To get to the beaches and some of the restaurants we wanted to eat at we had to drive a little but never more than 20-30 minutes. There was a lot for us to see during our stay there so we didn't spend much time at all during the day at the house or at the pool. My two friends who slept in the living room on the pull-out beds said they were pretty hot at night and had a hard time sleeping despite having the fans on. Some of the sheets could have been cleaner. There were some unpleasant stains on some of them. Also, not all of the keys we were given worked. We basically had one set that worked and we just kept that one with us. Not sure if it was user-error though, haha. We were very pleased with our experience and glad we went and Bravos Boyz were great. Vieques was amazing!!

“Beautiful bucolic retreat on Vieques”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

A wonderfully appointed, comfortable cottage! Everything we needed was provided. The house was clean, secure (very important!), and easily accessible for our family. Open plan kitchen/TV/Dining room a plus for family activities and relaxation. Very comfortable beds/sheets/pillows. Like we were "home".

Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to tell us how we are doing!

“Comfortable, relaxing getaway”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2013

We rented Moonrise Cottage in Vieques recently (Mar 2013) and had a pleasant stay. The casita was very clean, inside and out, with well manicured grounds and lovely saltwater pool. Beds were comfy, bathrooms adequate, and living space, small, but enough for us. Once you open doors to 2nd floor balcony, felt the space was expanded! Vieques is not full of amenities in and of itself, but Moonrise afforded us a good, safe location, mostly what we needed was provided, and any issues that arose were taken care of immediately by the mgmt company (conveniently located around the block). A car is absolutely necessary to explore the island adequately, as there is a feeling of the undiscovered there -- hidden beaches etc., along with the primitive island feel with roosters crowing, dogs barking, and the wild horses padding along the streets at night. It's a place for those that prefer a bit of adventure and don't get flustered if the electricity goes out for a few hours in the neighborhood (which did happen to us.. but candles were provided!) We also met wonderful folks staying in the other cottages on the property..

Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to tell us how we are doing!

“A beautiful house in a peaceful island”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2013

We were a party of 4 and we stayed in the house for 5 days, during our New Year's eve holidays. The home was very confortable, clean and well furnished. All the important services were included and perfectly working (A/C, internet, TV, ... ). Vieques island is a very peaceful place, with fantastic beaches and the weather was almost perfect. The only thing that should be better was the view from the house: even if the sea isn't far from the house, was impossible to see it.
