“Great spot, clean, on the beach”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2015

Stayed at Discovery Point #15 for the week. Rental staff were very friendly, punctual and helpful. Unit was clean with a lovely unobstructed view of the beach front. Pool was clean and there were plenty of recliners and shade coverage available on the beach. Easy shore break, to a calm lull. Easy to get in and out for general snorkeling or handling out in the water. Cemetery beach is a short walk away or three minute car ride for even better snorkeling. Best snorkeling during our week was Eden Rock. The unit could use a little updating, the couch wasn't to comfortable for lengthy sitting, but it was more than adequate. The TV's in the bedroom could be bigger, but the living room one was fine. Plenty of dishes, pots pans, ect and the towels were good. No mildew in bathrooms. Would stay in this unit again. Other units in same building are renting for the same amount, but you only get use one 1 bed and 1 bath, not the whole two bedroom/bath unit.

“Great Location for Snorkeling!”

Reviewed 6 May 2014

We rented a condo at Discovery Point Unit 15. It was the best location for snorkeling and just far enough away from the touristy Georgetown. The condo itself was clean and bright. This is an end unit which gives a lot of light. The only bad part of the living space are the beds! The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and it feels like your sleeping on springs! The owners could improve on the beds. Overall, we enjoyed Seven Mile Beach and the location for snorkeling.

Response from the manager Thanks for the review! Discovery Point Club is certainly well located and very popular! I have shared the feedback with the owner regarding the mattresses and we hope to see them as part of a future update! Thank you for booking with Cayman Villas and we look forward to your return!

“Excellent experience”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2014

We stayed for 7 days at the Discovery Point Club. Everything was at or above our expectations. The management was very concerned about our comfort on all levels. I would go there again.

“Discovery point Heaven”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

Stayed at unit 15 Discovery point. Great ocean view fr Room. Close to grocery stores and Cemetery reef. Maid was great and aC was very cool! Loved the Balcony overlooking the ocean with a side view of The Iguanas feeding in the tops of the trees! We will be back!

“Great Value for a Cayman Experience”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

This is a very nice, clean condo with a beautiful view. We weren't looking for fancy furniture, countertops, or décor, just a good price on a beachfront condo in a quiet area. Our family of six loved the fact that we were a few minutes walk from Cemetery Reef for snorkeling. Even the snorkeling just out from the beach area wasn't bad...we saw a couple stingray there. The beach is a bit rocky at the shoreline, but my youngest (10) loved putting her mask on and watching the baby fish among the rocks. We were also impressed with the management. The air conditioner to the front room wasn't working, and the management company (which is different for this apartment than the one in the Dpoint office) was quick to get it taken care of. The color-changing lights in the pool and hot tub attracted my kids for one last swim every night. Other condos we looked at were more expensive when you factored in the taxes and/or maid service(which were included in the price of this unit). We even received on night free because we traveled off-season and stayed a week. Overall a great place for our Cayman vacation!

“Beautiful views”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2013

We stayed in a corner unit, second floor. Was pleasantly surprised how sound-proof it was...wasn't bothered at all by neighbors. The beach was beautiful and the snorkeling was amazing. My kids loved the turtle farm and the swimming with sting rays. I loved that we were far away from Georgetown and the cruise ships in a quiet section of the beach. I would highly recommend Grand Cayman and also Discovery Point - their service and hospitality were fabulous.

“Discovery Point #15”

Reviewed 9 May 2012

A comfortable stay for our most recent visit to Cayman! Well-stocked kitchen with most of the gadgets you'd want! The Discovery Point housekeepers did a great job getting in and out each day. My only suggestion is that the bed linens need to be replaced---they are old and thin. The comforter was stained and clearly needed to be clean or replaced. We usually bring a couple of new Dvds for night time entertainment, but the small TV made movie viewing a bit of a challenge.

“Island was great, but condo was a bit odorous.”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2012

Location was great. Beaches were very nice. Plenty of room for a family of 5 or 6. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, etc. The only problem was a septic smell that permeated the front bedroom and hall. It was worse in the late afternoon and early evening. We smelled it 6 out of 7 days. Opening the front door and balcony door usually would give enough ventilation to get rid of it. However, one day the parking lot smelled that way too so we could not open the front door to ventilate. Without the smell, this condo would have received a 5 star rating. Hopefully they can determine how to get rid of the odor.

“Great location, snorkeling and pool were excellent”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2011

We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly stay again. Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the showerheads in each shower as they were the worst I have ever experienced. The unit was very well stocked and the daily housekeeping was great.

“Always relaxing”

Reviewed 8 Dec 2010

This was our third stay at Discovery Point # 15 and to be sure we will make it our choice the next time we return. We love the location, the amenities and how private a setting it really is.
