“Rum haven.”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2016

Super place. We loved it. Everything we needed. Clean and tidy. Great location. Nice owners. Fantastic staycation destination.

Response from the manager Dear Sharon, Thank you kindly for your lovely review of Rum Haven! It is a great spot for a 'staycation' and very popular with tourists too! We hope to have you back again soon! Kind regards, Juliet Business Manager Cayman Villas

“Relaxing and private with still so much to do close by..”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2013

We were hesitant at first to rent this villa because we weren't sure if we would be close enough to the main attractions on the island. Turns out, it was perfect! We didn't want to stay at a resort because we like to sit outside and enjoy our coffee without having to "get dressed". It was relaxing to sit out on the porch and watch the sunrise over the cove. If we did want to snorkel or catch the catamaran to Stingray Island or just sit & "people watch"... all of that was just a short walk across the street. The drive into town was only 30-40 minutes. We rented a car and saw just about the entire island. Rum Haven Villa was extremely nice. We had everything we needed & more. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff at Cayman Villas was very helpful with any questions we had and that made our stay even more enjoyable and stress free. We will definitely return to Cayman and stay at Rum Point. I have a feeling it will be in a larger villa though... lots of our friends and family want to go with us next time!!! We will use Cayman Villas again!

“Very relaxing weekend for two”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2013

My wife and I live on island and booked Rum Haven for a long weekend and arrived on our 18" boat. Our teenage kids joined us for the second night. The master bedroom suite was excellent and the apartment and kitchen was clean, tidy, well appointed and ideal for the two of us. Grocery shopping requires a car - we brought our own by boat. The location on the cove was delightful and we enjoyed this as a base to go for beach strolls, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing etc. Minor glitches: The airconditioning laboured to get the apartment cool at night, and we could not find how to turn on the hot water for a shower - our calls and txt msgs to the contact person went unanswered. Cold showers were fine. Overall a very enjoyable and memorable lazy weekend.

“Haven in Rum Point”

Reviewed 14 May 2012

We visited Rum Haven for our 3rd anniversary and although we are residents of Grand Cayman, this made no difference on the amazing time we had staying here. The condo is just what we were looking for; small, intimate, with all the amenities and specially very quiet and private. But, it's also super close to fabulous Rum Point Beach which has a restaurant, a gift shop and great snorkeling. I would definitely recommend Rum Haven to anybody that wants to enjoy a "piece of heaven". If you are traveling from abroad you would definitely need a car to get there or to drive around and explore other areas of the island, but trust me, after driving for a while you will be looking forward to come back to this quiet area and just chill with a Rum Punch!

“Cosy and Laid Back”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2012

We rented Rum Haven for a long weekend staycation and had a really nice time. Perfect size for a couple although they have a sofa bed if you were to add more. Rum Point just across the road with drinks, food, watersports and a really nice beach and turquoise waters. The condo also looks onto a water inlet from the ocean which you can kayak up. The bioluminescence tours go right by here if you pick the right times of the month (no moon). The condo was well equipped with kitchen equipment, etc - everything you need in a home. The owners (and property manager) clearly take good care of this place. All in all I'd highly recommend this to prospective guests, ideally a couple due to the size.

We enjoyed our stay at Rum Haven, just by Rum Point very much. (Just a little disappointed that promised wifi Internet access did not work.) -Ian Cottam

“Rum Point was amazingly beautiful!!! I miss it terribly!!!”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2011

It was great having a gorgeous, peaceful cove in our back yard, and Rum Point beach being right across the road from us was fabulous. I would recommend renting a vehicle, though, in case you want to go sight-seeing or want to get groceries, try other restaurants around the island, etc. The snorkeling at Rum Point is exhilarating if you find the right spots. Swimming w/the stingrays is something you must do. Don't miss Botanic Park--gorgeous!!! The views of the ocean were breath-taking, just be sure not to take in any of the salty water! Lol! We saw so many cool sea creatures at Rum Point which made our honeymoon so memorable! The wave-runner safari was exciting! The staff at Red Sail Sports and the gift shop on the beach were so helpful and fun. Although the property manager didn't bring out seats for the kayak as stated, she and her friend went out of their way making us feel welcome. Not only did they wait up for us to arrive after a cancelled flight and several delays, they provided us with a ride to the grocery and to a car rental location once we decided a rental was going to be about the same cost as taking a taxi. To top it off, they had gifts and a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge for us as we had just married the day before. How sweet!!! Lo was awesome ! Mary-Dale and Penny at Cayman Villas were awesome as well--very friendly and helpful! Mary-Dale was very prompt in answering any questions I had, and she called to check in with us after we got to the island. Penny was a life-saver the day/night our flights kept getting yanked around.

“Excellent condo in idyllic location”

far from the madding crowds this was an ideal spot for us. Plenty of space for a one-bedroomed condo and exceptionally well equipped. Being able to walk across the street and step into the sea - just amazing.
