“Reindeer Lodge is great!”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2015

Held a family reunion this summer and had the Reindeer Lodge as our base. It was a great unit-plenty of room for all and all the amenities needed for sleeping, bathing, cooking, and cleaning. TVs in all the bedrooms as well as the living room was convenient as well. Only drawback was a weak cellular signal that kept cutting off calls! I'd gladly return to this rental in the future.

“Room for all, and the house had everything needed for a great st”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2014

We were impressed with all the amenities. Plenty of firewood. Gas in the grill. The kitchen had everything including two coffee makers for our large group. Dianne at the front desk was super to talk to. We had snow the night before and the snowplowers were there at daybreak to plow. Great time. Location on the ski hill was perfect, able to ski in and out without taking our skis off.

“Great Ski Trip”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2014

Ski conditions were great with a house that is in a wonderful ski in ski out location. The hot tub looks through the woods on to the ski run. The run is green level, so it worked out great for the children. Kitchen and living space was very nice with open concept and more than big enough to support the number of people based on bedrooms. Overall a great place in a great location.

“Annual Ski Trip Made Perfect”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2014

We have been coming to Shangrilodge several years in a row to share an annual ski trip with three other families. This home fits three of the families perfectly. The memories we have made in this home will last a lifetime!

“Great Stay at the Shangrilodge”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2014

We've been staying at the Shangrilodge for four years and enjoy our stay every time. It's been remodeled and the kitchen/dining area is so condusive to fun family time. Being able to sit in the hot tub and watch the kids ski is the coolest. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a nice ski-in ski-out where you can walk to the alpen Inn to stay here

“Our 34th Year and still planning on coming back”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2014

We had another fantastic trip to Powderhorn. This was out groups 34th year and we have booked our 35th year for next year. We love our unit, as we can ski in and out and the people at Powderhorn have always taken great care of us. This year was a little cold, but we survived. It's not all about skiing, it's about the comrady, good friendship, good drink, good time and good food. Again, thanks for a great time. Love the Kimbal Inn. Gary Pritchard (Coordinator)

“Memories get better every year!!”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2014

Our annual January family Big Powderhorn vacation was perfect, conditions, weather and all but the oldest son made it up this year. Our family continues to grow we even had our granddaughter with us this year(9 months). Can't wait to slap those skis on her little feet. Lodge on the mountain is a must. The Shangrilodge was very accommodating for our 13 and 1/2 person family and we can't forget our less than 5# yorkie Oliver. The memories honestly get better each year. Looking forward to next year. Thanks for everything, The Greiner family

“Wonderful place to stay!”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2014

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in the Shangrilodge. What a great place. We had 15 sleep comfortably. The fire place was great, we had a wonderful fire going all the time. Lots of cut fire word in the basement. Beautiful view out the windows. Wonderful kitchen and eating area. Hot tub was great. Everything you need is avail. in the house. Kitchen was fully stocked with supplies. We could ski right out of the house and return right back to the house. But you are set back a bit on a beautiful wooded lot. I would highly recommend staying here.

“Cold noses, warm hearts”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2014

Check in staff was friendly as always. This is a great unit whose kitchen improvements are awesome. The hot tub was welcome on the nights when the temperature outside was brutal! Being close to the alpen Inn is a nice perk as it is walkable up the hill. Great snow this year! We always have a fantastic time at BP!

“Lodge was fine, hill situation disappointing.”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2014

We booked this trail side lodge in November for the weekend before Christmas, deciding to splurge because of all the advantages of being in a ski in and ski out. We have a large group - 2-3 families with many different ages and levels of skiers and boarders who wanted to come and go as they please. We found out about a week prior when we called for some information that there was a chance the trail our rental was on would not be open and some other runs may not be open either. This surprised us as there seemed to be ample snowfall so we hoped it would be open, but it was not. Many of the other runs were not open and the grooming of the runs that were open was poor. Also only one very small terrain park was open on the beginner hill which greatly disappointmented the boarders in our group. Also there was no night skiing, which was disappointing as well. We did get a small discount on the rental. We have skied Powderhorn a lot in the past and have always loved it. We usually go later in the season, but kids are involved in many sports and was getting hard to find a mutual weekend besides the holiday. If it is commonplace for the hill not to be completely open the before Christmas it would be nice to be clearly informed upon initial rental of a trailside.
