“Terrible housekeeping”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

This was the third time we have rented cabins through american Patriot Getaways and have not bee disappointed before. Don't think the housekeepers had been in there in months. Cobwebs everywhere, dead insects on the floor and a filthy rug in living room. The location was great, view of mountains excellent, and enjoyed the swing on the porch. Better get some new housekeepers, though.

“Much needed getaway”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this secluded cabin on top of the world. The cabin was awesome and the views where breath taking. I would highly recommend for an adult vacation spot.

“Great view, nice cabin, and the best company you could possibly”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2013

I was pleasantly suprised when we arrived at the cabin. It has a view that will take your breathe away !!! The cabin was clean and very had more room than I had envisioned. The only real complaints that I could possible have are...The t.v. in the livingroom is way too small and the microwave takes a long time to heat anything up. Other than that, everything was very nice. The road leading to the cabin was slightly challenging but by no means was it too steep. The last day of our visit it snowed (lightly), and I still made it up and down with no real problems in a Chrystler Sebring. The service by a.P.G. was the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with !!! We had a little trouble finding the cabin, but all it took was one phonecall to them and we had step by step instructions. When we left the cabin we had left our pistol that we travel with behind. I was soo worried about some kid getting thier hands on it, or about about a dozen other bad things that could have happened. Once again, it was a.P.G. to the rescue !!! They informed the guest that were staying there, promptly went and retrieved it, and even went through all the trouble of shipping it back to me. Shipping something like that is no easy task !!! All in all ... I give the cabin a 4 out of 5. The view a 5 out of 5 and a.P.G. customer service a a 10 out of 5 !!!

“Clean, nice cabin. Limited view.”

I booked america's View at the last minute as we were driving into Pigeon Forge. Our main criteria was a mountain view. Apg was very accommodating and we booked the cabin over the phone. The cabin was very clean and well supplied. The large porch faced the mountains, but we were only able to appreciate the view by standing, or sitting in one area only. This is due to trees that grew into the view. I recommend topping a few trees so the view can truly be appreciated (or changing the name of the cabin).

“America's View Cabin”

The cabin was very clean, and spacious. Had a kid friendly interior and exterior. Location was great, except for some outdoor maintanance. There was an overgrowth of shrubbery and trees right in the middle of the panoramic view, kinda ruined the beautiful sunset. The directions were a little off, it would be helpful if the actual streets were named on the directions and not the route numbers, that would make the map easier to follow. We absolutely loved the hot tub and the seclusion, was wonderful. Ps our GPS worked up the mountain...

“Not a happy camper!”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2012

I have visited the Smoky Mountains regularly for about 40 years. I usually stay in a cabin in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. This trip I carried my Mother-in-Law, as she has never been before. I have never complained about the cabins I have stayed in before, but I was utterly embarrased by these accomodations. When we arrived, there was a dead rat on the living room floor and several dead wasps, spiders and other insects. The cabin was not clean at all. There was dust everywhere, rat feces on the dishes, in the cabinets, on the bathroom vanities, in soap dishes, and even in the kitchen drawers where the eating utinsels were stored. I contacted american Patriot Getaways to see if maybe we could change accomodations, and they would not hear to that. They supposedly sent the exterminator and cleaning crew. We left the cabin to allow them to do their job. When we returned, all we found was the piles of dust and dead insects that I had swept into piles had been removed and the dishes that I placed in the dishwasher to wash before I could use them, had been placed back in the cabinets unwashed. If I owned this cabin, I would Definately find another company to secure the management of this property. I will continue to visit the Smokies... but will never never never reserve another property thru american Patriot Getaways... and would not advise anyone to give them your business.

“Breathtaking view and very private!”

Reviewed 22 May 2012

This off-the-beaten-path cabin was very charming and had an amazing view, even at night. The view from the hot tub during the full moon was incomparable. The privacy was excellent as well. You could only see the neighbors' streetlights at night and couldn't see their cabins at all during the day. This would be an excellent choice for a romantic getaway or just to get away from it all.

“Beautiful cabin but too far out of town”

Reviewed 9 Feb 2012

Enjoyed the cabin very much, but the location was a little to "wilderness" for me.Had trouble finding the place at the start but we still had a wonderful time.

“what can I not say about this”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2012

wellthis is the first time we have rented a cabin. thou the price was a little more then what i was used to spending, we decidied to try it. the cabin was well way off the beatin path from things but ownce we got there it was nice. the view was very nice and we was there closes to out of season. had some trouble with the fire place but I think the wood they left was just wet. they need a bigger tv in the main living room for sure this is a must these days. other then that everthing went great

“awesome view”

Reviewed 8 Dec 2011

this was a very cozy cabin, could not get the fireplace to light though and stools in kitchen were wobbly and will probably need to be replaced. Bed was very comfortable and the view was unbelieveable. Would definately stay there again. Cabin was very clean, I did have a problem with the plug in air freshner with my allergies and did remove during our stay. Cleaning staff did a very good job!!
