“A romanticly beautiful escape”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2014

Just like the reviews I read before booking my trip, the pictures just don't do it justice! The moment we walked in the cabin, the view just took our breaths away! The cabin itself is beautiful!! Perfect for a romantic getaway, so perfect that my girlfriend and I made a promise to return once a year and try it out during different seasons. We were hoping for snow covered mountains but missed it by just a couple of days. Even without the snow, Away from it all was truly a wonderful escape from "it all" We will be back!!!

Response from the manager Thank you so much for your testimony! We're happy you enjoyed the cabin & your getaway! Looking forward to working with you again in the future. Best Regards, American Patriot Getaways

“Perfect Getaway”

My husband and I got a chance to get "Away From It all" and it was amazing. So cozy and all the ammenities we needed. Tough drive in the snow and ice, but worth it!!!

“Wonderful anniversary getaway”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2013

My husband I celebrated out 10th anniversary so this was our romantic getaway from our 3 terrors. We've stayed at cabins before in Hocking Hills in Ohio bit nothing that had the view like we had at away From It all. Our cabin was clean and cute. Just enough space and coziness for two. Loved the view! We will definitely be returning one day!

Response from the manager Thank you for your testimony! We're glad you enjoyed your stay! Best Regards, American Patriot Getaways

“Absolutely amazing, stunning view!”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2013

My husband and I went on our honeymoon and stayed in away From It all back in November! It was such a wonderful experience! The cabin is so nice and makes you just want to stay there and enjoy the great view of the mountains. It is minutes away from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! You will not regret renting this cabin for a vacation.

“An awesome spot for a romantic getaway with a breathtaking view!”

Reviewed 3 Dec 2013

Wow! First you hold your breath driving up the mountain to get to the cabin...then you walk in and the view takes your breath away! This cabin is just gorgeous - we only stayed one night, but that allowed us to witness the spectacular view in the evening and at sunrise! It was a little tricky locating the cabin, but once we arrived everything was perfect. The place is immaculate and nicely furnished to complement the surroundings. We loved the fireplace that opens into both the living room and the bedroom, and we really enjoyed the hot tub (despite the freezing temperature!) What a great place to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary! We would go back in a heartbeat!

“Absolutely perfect!”

The only thing I didn't like was the flat sheet on the bed. Come on, it's 2013, fitted sheets are easy to come by! Also, very difficult to find the actual check in place and on top of that their time frames are way to limited.

“Better than expected”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2013

Could not have possibly been more pleased. We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was so much more than I expected. The cabin is about 12 minutes up the mountain and only a few yards from the peak. Although there are other cabins surrounding it, it is the last cabin on its dead end road and it's built so well that you wouldn't have any idea there are other cabins. The builders and landscapers did a magnificent job of creating a sense of seclusion for its visitors. The view off the balcony was magnificent, and every evening my wife and I enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of God's creation as the sun set in front. We hope to be back very soon.

“Experience was good, but could have been better”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a few days on the second leg of our honeymoon. My husband is from the area and we know our way around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinberg and didn't think finding this place would be difficult but the directions we were given were terrible. Eventually we found it by accident, but the experience was frustrating. The cabin was beautiful - the view was perfect, it was plenty of space and the furnishings were comfortable. We spent our evenings on the back deck, swinging and watching the sunset. The hot tub was great - the temperature was perfect and you could still see the amazing view from it. The indoor jacuzzi, however, was pointless. We were given a heads-up regarding this in the material information packet provided in the cabin, but that iformation was much more optimistic than what we actually experienced. The water was from a well so it was yellow, which we expected, but even though we had not run hot water in the whole cabin in more than 9 hours, the temperature of the jacuzzi water never raised above room temperature. I understand that the cabin's provide small water heaters so it's difficult to run a full jacuzzi with hot water, but what I don't understand is why jacuzzi's are even offered in these cabin's if they aren't equipped for them. It's unnecessary and frustrating to your guests to offer amenities that can't be fully functional. I would still recommend this cabin to a friend as long as I made sure they were fully informed of the fall-backs. We had a good experience, but it would have been better had be been given better information and had the opportunity to adjust our expectations.

“A very relaxing comfortable stay!”

I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in this area! My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was nice and cozy for a couple. American Patriots was great to work with and were very helpful! The cabin itself was very clean and tidy when we arrived which was a great first impression. We thought the drive down to town was nice only about ten min, give or take a few, and there were so many attractions in Pigeon Forge! We only stayed for 3 nights and it definitely wasn't long enough! We will be back again :) thanks for an unforgettable first stay in a cabin in the mountains!

We had a wonderful time staying in "Away from it all"! The carpeting in the bedroom was a bit dirty, but sitting out on the deck was wonderful! We loved watching the changes of weather.
