We had four couple and it was absolutely amazing it was cold but we still went into the jacuzzi.. We have decided to come back every December.. They have great rates.

“Excellent Experience!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2013

Our family of 10 rented this cabin for vacation. The entire experience was wonderful! The cabin was clean and well stocked. With a big family the two full size refrigerators was very handy! The view was amazing and neighboring cabins were far enough away that we weren't bothered. The roads are very steep so be prepaired for that! This was the second time we stayed with aPG and will be staying with them again!

“Great family time”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2013

I took the family and it was great. First time we have don anything like this and now it will be a trip that we take every year. It was on the side of the mountain and we got to see a bear. My grandsons was verrryyy happy after that.

“Great cabin and view”

Loved everything about the cabin and the description described it thoroughly. It would be nice if there were Tv's in the bedrooms and if it was stocked with some salt and pepper. The drive up was a little scary, but expected.

“Not all It's Cracked Up to Be...”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2012

I'm not usually one to leave poor reviews, but I think it's only fair to warn other possible renters. First of all, the trip up to the cabin: unbearable. I'm glad we had a car with four-wheel drive, otherwise we would have had to change our plans. I actually asked the rental company the week before our trip what the trip up was like, and they told me "fully paved... not too steep... about ten minutes from the main drag..." all of which is completely false. Next, the cabin itself was in a bit of disarray: the couches were torn, there were not enough towels for our group, and the coffee maker was the only thing in the kitchen that worked properly. I made homemade pasta sauce one night, and had to stop everything to drive down the mountain to get a can opener because the one there did not work. The toaster was faulty as well: we had to hold down the lever to get it to brown properly. There was a downstairs kitchette that was not stocked at all. Where were the glasses? The utensils? The plates? I was staying in the basement, and it was quite inconvenient to open a bottle of wine, only to find I had to go upstairs to retrieve a glass. Couldn't there be a few supplies downstairs to make it a little more convenient for those staying down there? The photos on the website are obviously quite old, and very misleading. I was expecting a spectacular view, and ended up seeing more of the leaves and branches of nearby trees than I did of the veiw in the photo. If you're expecting things to be exactly what you see, think again. I will say, the hot tub was wonderful! I was the only one in my group to make use of it and I found it so relaxing. Where it is located on the property, and the hot tub itself, made for a wonderful relaxing night. I brought my iPod out and turned on some music, grabbed a bottle of wine, and spent a few hours one night just relaxing and taking in the surroundings. The cabin is nice; just beware- it's not all it's cracked up to be.

“Great cabin, but wish the view was better”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2012

My one and only complaint about this cabin was the view. The pictures are bit miss leading because there were taken in the fall when there are no leaves on the trees which makes the view appear to be better than it was but over all we loved the cabin.

“Amazing time”

It was an amazing experience. The place, the cabin, the view, everything even the price!! We ended extremely satisfied!! We will definitely do it again. The internet was extremely slow but besides that, everything was perfect!! Thank you so much!!

Response from the manager Love the picture of the whole group having a good time. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we love to hear how much you enjoyed yoru stay. Sorry about the internet, I am sure it worked as fast as service in the mountains can work. We would love to have you back again!!

“Very Nice Cabin...But very rough drive up”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2012

We stayed in this cabin just before Thanksgiving. The cabin was wonderful. Super nice and clean. The only problem was the drive to it. It was extreamly steep and we spun on the gravels alot. Also, the map they email to you is totally incorrect on how to get are much better off asking a security guard.

“Breath taking”

Could have stayed a month, but just could not afford it. My family and I come ever year and we have never been disappointed with one of your cabins. Looking forward to next year. Hope to be able to rent patriot pointe this time. Thanks again

I loved the cabin once we actually arrived, but the resort guards never wanted that to happen. The policy is you must have a parking pass to get past the gate. My group had 4 different cars, all arriving past the time of the office closing - so we were unable to stop and get passes. The office was nice enough to fax them over to the guard gate house - so the first car got through no problem. Later, when I arrived, the guard said he made the other car take the passes, and even though the cabin was in my name and I had the confirmation email and he knew we'd get the passes once we got to the cabin he wouldn't let us in. He made my friends drive 20 minutes down the mountain to give it to us. "It's their policy", he said. Somebody gives you a fake badge and you think you've got some power. Regardless of having fun, we will find somewhere else to stay next time.
