“Perfect”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2013

Everything was either as advertised or better, no complaints whatsoever

“Very Relaxing”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

Cabin is pretty high up and tucked away from other cabins. The view from front deck was obsecured by tall trees; would have been nice to look out over them. Cabin was clean and equipped with everything we needed; enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to others. We are looking forward to another trip; perhaps in December but don't want to be as high up this time.

“Climbing to the Top”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2013

Finding the place for the first time is an adventure at the back of a very mountainous neighborhood in the dark; and the driveway to this cabin is extremely steep with a sharp blind curve midway up. However, once you make it up the drive to the correct building and set your parking brake to find your vehicle suprisingly staying in place in the sloped parking spot and climb the entry staircase to the warp around deck, everything becomes much easier. We did use the on-deck jacuzzi on the secluded side of the cabin deck, and the garden tub in the master bath with no problems. I used the loft pool table, which only had a couple pool cue angles that were unavailable from the fairly close walls. The corner fireplace downstairs was nice on a timer.Just below the peak of the mountain, we had woodsy plants out the back windows & areal views down the slope to the valley out the main sides.

“Terrible experience”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2013

I have sent numerous emails since our stay to the general manager, and had absolutely no response. Don't waste your time or money. There was a horrible raccoon infestation on the property. We were unable to go outside at all and enjoy the deck or hot tub that we paid for, as they were walking right up to us! We had to leave our garbage inside the entire length of our stay so they would quit tearing it up. Our cabin was the only one that didn't have a large bin style garbage can that locked. Even though we didn't put our garbage outside, they still came repeatedly each night throwing the lids around trying to find something. Sleep was near impossibly with all the banging noises, it sounded like somebody trying to break in. They also liked to hang out on the roof right on the satellite dish, so we were constantly unable to get satellite service. It is incredibly upsetting to have gotten no response from the general manager at all. That is fine, we love the area and visit often. I will never spend my money with american Patriot Getaways again!

“Our time at this cabin was miserable.”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2012

There is an animal living in the roof that makes noise all night long. The place was really rickety. You could push the front door open while it was locked if you wanted. The floors leak. When we took a shower upstairs and then downstairs there was water all over the floor. It has a pool table but there is no room around it play. The oven did not work ao we could not use it to cook. The driveway is almost straight up with a 90% turn even with our trucks four wheel drive it was difficult to get to the cabin. Over all we were very disappointed in our stay and would not stay there again.

“Nice relaxing getway”

Reviewed 27 May 2012

It is a very nice cabin. The driveway was very hard to get up. It had a wasp problem. It did not have a bear trash can, so we had some visitor during the night. We love how it has wood walls, wood floors, and a wood ceiling. It had true cabin feel. In the kitchen it had pots and pans, plates, utensil. The location of the cabin was great, it is between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The view was nice, it felt like you were on top of the world. It was very secluded. Overall, I would say that this cabin was very nice.

“Bad Cabin”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2012

Rented My Blue Heaven and was very disapointed. Cabin is not very well maintained by the owner. Hot tub lid had a hole in it and was waterlogged any smelled moldy as did the water in the hot tub. Furniture had holes in it and there was a wasp nest somewhere inside the cabin. Looked like there was a hole in the sofett that was recently patched and no one must have checked but some kind of animal was now trapped in there scratching all night. The great people in customer service moved us to the Patriot Inn which was a much nicer cabin. They always have the best customer service people and are always very responsive. Unless owner maintains my blue heaven better I would stay away from it

Response from the manager I am sorry that you didn't like My Blue Heaven. The hot tub cover has been replaced since your stay. I apologize that it wasn't replace prior to you visit. I have spoken with the owners and they do plan to refurbish the cabin this spring. Thanks for taking time to respond to the survey. We appreciate your business and value your opinion.

“Great getaway”

Response from the manager Wonderful! So glad you enjoyed your stay, thank you!

“very beauftful place,”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2011

Cabin was fantastic, and the scenery was beautiful. Cabin had everything you could ask for.

“great getaway!”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2011

This cabin was perfect for my husband and two young children. It was secluded enough for privacy but not too far from civilization. The service was great. Our refrigerator was leaking the first day we returned from an outing and the second day, my little boy was sick and had to go to an urgent care. I called the 800 number in the guest service booklet, and the operator was quick to handle both situations. The only complaint was the pull out bed was in poor condition. I filled out a survey about our stay, and they informed me they let the owner know the changes that were needed for a better stay. Overall, this cabin was a joy to stay in. I'd recommend it to any of our friends/family.
