“wonderful”

Beautiful cabin had a great stay even had a few visitors... The neighborhood raccoon's came to visit us in the hot tub...

“many laughs”

We had a great time, we looked & hoped to see a bear but didn't see any. We did see some wildlife & the cabin was beautiful. The road to the cabin was an experience all its own & had fun driving to it.

“Not fit for small children”

Reviewed 7 May 2013

This cabin was not my first choice, but american Patriot double booked our cabin and this was the only one available. I have a 2 year old and this cabin is not safe for a small child. There is no where outside that is safe for children. The drive way is very narrow with a drop off on one side and a concrete wall on the other. We were barely able to fit 2 cars in the driveway. Also, there is a gap between the front porch and driveway that is scary. Inside the cabin was very loud, you could hear every movement made upstairs. This would not be my first choice for a family rental.

“Very Spacious!!”

We stayed here at Trappers Trace November 2012 and were satisfied with our stay. The open floor plan was very nice. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Very clean and comfortable. We do have a couple of complaints but overall it was nice. If planning on staying here be sure not to have more then 1 car because the driveway is extremely small. It might fit 2 very small vehicles but we had a large SUV and it took up the majority of the driveway(good thing we didn't bring our f350 it wouldn't of fit). Also the water pressure in the shower is not great. If you do plan on staying here make sure you have someone there that is quite strong because if you plan on getting in the hot tub the cover is extremely heavy. It took 2 people to lift it open. Then again if you have kids which we did that could be a plus because there would be no way they could of got in it without help. Even with the minor complaints I would recommend this cabin for young couples or families.

“I would not recommend this cabin!”

My husband and I spent our 10 year wedding anniversary at this cabin. First of all, the parking here is horrible. If you have more than one car, forget it! Also, if you're looking for a cabin with a view, this is not the cabin for you! I have stayed in much nicer cabins in the Smokies! I'm not sure when the last time this one was rented, because there were cobwebs on the light over the kitchen table. Also, there's only one shower stall upstairs, so you either have to take a whirlpool tub bath or share with other parties. Unfortunately, this isn't a cabin I'd recommend.

“Wonderful”

The cabin was perfect! A few things would of made it better. The matress's need replaced and seeing thru the fireplace into the bedroom made it a little uncomfortable. We put a towel over it, to give us more private area. we didnt have a frying pan. we called customer service and had one within the hour. Overall it was a great vacation in a beautiful cabin.

“It was a mixed experience on our trip.”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2012

We have never stayed in a cabin nor were we familiar with the area/mountains. The cabin looked like the pictures, and was pretty on the inside. The book that greeted us talked about common insects including scorpions. I had no idea! We saw none of them. Anyway, the beds were so high that I could not get in them the first night. I called the management the next day, and they came right out with a step stool. Make sure, if you're 5 feet tall or less, to ask for this right away. We had a lot of rain during our stay. We noticed a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom on the first floor that drained into the tub--so at least that was convenient, but we didn't want to use the whirlpool at that point. The hot tub was big and the cover was very heavy...again, my height kept me from enjoying that. Overall, it was a great experience, but we won't be back to this cabin--it looked like they were in the midst of painting/repairs to it in the bathroom that the ceiling leaked. It is, however, memories we will cherish as a fun experience, in spite of the troubles. The actual cabin is about 3 miles on a winding, very steep road. Believe the warnings--if this had been winter, no way our car would have been able to go up there...we don't have aWD.

“Nice and Cozey”

I really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful cabin. It was nice and secluded but I guess my only complaint would be that the hot tub didnt really get hot and we had a bad case of ants on the stairs leading to the pool table(but hey what to expect in the cabin!!!) The location was perfect!! I would definetely like to stay here again

“very nice - needs updating”

First of all we had a great family vacation. You are 5 minutes from everything and feel like you are in the backwoods of Tennessee. For that reason we loved it. Cell service was sketchy but that was fine for us also. Accomidations were fine but could use some updating. Water Pressure was minimal and was the biggest issue for us which was not bad.

“Awesome Cabin!”
