Very Good

“Absolutely Wonderful!”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2014

It was a beautiful home with a warm atmosphere. Spacious, comfortable and so cozy. I enjoyed the view as did my husband. The location was perfect. It was private yet very close to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. The bed was huge and so comfortable. I am sooo ready to plan another trip back very soon! And...the price was great for everything we got included!! Very satisfied.

Response from the manager Thank you for the great review! We're glad you had a wonderful time! Best Regards, American Patriot Getaways

“Wonderful place to stay.”

Beautiful rental in a centralized location, great views, and very well cleaned by the company. Could use some maintenance on doorway flooring and baseboard where previous water damage is. The stairway was nice and wasn't steep at all for my mother to climb. Separate master suites worked very well for all involved. Highly recommend staying here to anyone.

“Very nice but, could have been better.”

Very nice cabin. We had a good time but, were a few things that would have made i better. First off there was only one TV for the whole cabin. Second, when it rained very hard water pooled up at the entrance and was coming in the door. Third, this was the first cabin I ever rent from american patriot getaways that did not have a pool table, Fourth, no washer or dryer and fifth, the most spookiest thing of all ( on the last night of our stay something or someone knocked on a down stairs window at 230 am, shortly after that the power was shut off in the entire cabin for 2 to 3 hours. We found out later that a tree had fallen and knocked out the power. It was great to learn why the power went out but, the question remained what or who knocked on the window? Wow hadn't been spooked like that in a long time. Just glad I didn't have to shoot anything or anybody. When we talk about it now, we laugh. Add some TV,s and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Will bring some flashlights next time. Thanks!

“Basically good choice”

We enjoyed staying at astonishing View...we were really upset that there was only one rocker on the bottom deck that you could actually sit in to enjoy the evening sky...the table and chairs were in horrible condition on the deck...there was no sitting at all on the upper deck.We were also shocked when the landscaping crew showed up to do the weedeating and etc while we were there(thank goodness we werent in the hottub) Inside was really nice, could maybe used TV upstairs instead of just the one in living room...Loved the seclusion...

“honeymoon destination?”

Reviewed 29 Dec 2012

Our visit was interesting to say the least. We arrived to find our hot tub empty and the jets throwing water all over the back porch. I was like no big deal i don't even like hot tubs. We had been driving for 14 hours so a hot shower sounded lovely. Went upstairs to find no hot water either. I called the office which was closed so we decided to ditch hygeine and enjoy our honeymoon. Called the office the next morning and waited till well after noon before my hot water was on. Hot tub never worked and i think something happened to the washer and dryer... They were not there and was suppose to be. Oh and we also lost power though not the office fault. To their credit they offered to move us to a near by cabin and refunded a night of our stay. But for a man who spent 26 years looking forward to this night could have gone smoother for the price we paid for our luxury cabin that when we arrived was not very luxurious. A couple of gray hairs but the rest of the week was lovely. We enjoyed our stay... collected lots funny stories to tell the family when we arrived back home!!! There was much unneeded stress and lots of unwelcome guests (ants) spend the first day of my honeymoon with maintenance men rather than my beautiful bride. If you have a good sense of humor come on down.

“Best thing was the view”

Reviewed 15 Nov 2012

Great view. The drive up was definitely exciting the first couple of times. Secluded...good. No one looking thru the windows but wildlife. The couch was a great disappointment...there were several of us and we had to sit on it!! The beds were king sized and ok but someone thought a flat sheet on the bottom would work...I does not! Esp. when it lies atop a plastic liner that slides!!! The kitchen and dining area was ample and the windows let in lots of light and great views. The shower was small, especially when shared with a plethora of fruit gnats... That fireplace puts out a ton of heat for it's size!!! We would stay there again if the bugs were under control! Good location for going in either direction each day! :)

We so enjoyed our stay at astonishing Views. It had plenty of space and lots of seclusion. Our only complaint was that the hot tub cover was previously damaged and woul soak up the water causing it to way so much we could barely move it. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed astonishing Views cabin very much. It was nicely decorated and private. We enjoyed the view from the deck, but the two white rocking chairs were broken. So disappointed about that. But overall we certainly enjoyed our trip and will stay with american Patriot Getaways again.

“No water!”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2012

The cabin was perfect and the view was as advertised. First morning wake up to no water. It takes a half of a day to get someone out to look into the problem. Another two hours to find out it can't be fixed and we have to move. American Patriot Getaways did move us into an upgraded cabin, but we lost the privacy and view we had with aV. Basically an entire day was lost on our vacation by the time we pack-up and un-pack. We felt that aPG should have done something (dinner certificates, show tickets) for our lost day.

“Astounding astonishing Views”

This place was just what we needed to relax. My husband and I enjoyed the scenery. The balcony was very nice and the kitchen was magnificent. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. I will definitely rent this cabin again!!! A great find!!!
