“Beautiful place to be.”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2013

Loved the area we were at,the scenery was beautiful.had a great time.the only complaint would be was the couch that let's out into a bed,I think the mattress needed to be replaced, other than that had a great time.

“Amazing view!”

I will start by saying that if you are looking for a place high in the mountains with incredible views...then this is the place for you. The roads leading up to it are very intense. I read some other feedback but nothing that prepared me for what they were really like. I understand that this is the mountains and you have to have steep roads to get up in them, but as a "city family" it would have been nice to have more warning. We had a minivan loaded down and a car top carrier and it was very scary driving up. The roads are very narrow, steep and have lots of blind sharp turns. It rained while we were there and we didn't even attempt to leave the cabin for fear of what the steep roads would be like when wet. Might not be a big deal to those who are used to driving in the mountains, but it was definitely a shock to us. A warning would have been great, and not just a warning about the roads during winter months. The cabin itself was great. I felt like the pictures did it justice, maybe just a little more "worn" than it looks in the pictures. Couch was broken on one side. The kitchen is in desperate need of a good scrubbing, all of the cabinets were really grimy and sticky, kind of gross. Brand new appliances were awesome. The nice big fridge/freezer was great! We loved the hot tub on the deck, however the jets did not work so that was a little disappointing. The gas grill was very dirty and the igniter didn't work, and of course there was no lighter or matches anywhere in the cabin. Ended up having to drive back into town for a lighter, which was a 50 min trip. Also there were no tools for the grill. The playset is one of the things that drew us to the cabin, however our kids are little and we didn't feel safe with them on it because just feet from it, the yard drops off very steep. A fence around the play area would have been great. Although the view was amazing and the cabin was nice, we would probably opt for something lower in the mountains next time.

“A great experience”

Living in Texas and having never been to the Smokey Mountains, we read all we could about the area and this property before taking the long drive there. We looked forward to it for months, and we were not disappointed. Although a little scary at first negotiating the steep mountain roads and sharp turns, we quickly got used to it (but be sure you have the horsepower to get up there). The Eagles View Lodge was everything we expected and more. Terrific views, clean comfortable accommodations and plenty of room. We have 2 teenage daughters, and each had their own bedrooms (one a loft) and they loved it. Easy driving distance to area attractions and Gatlinburg. The only negative was having to drive through Pigeon Forge to get to Eagles View (at least from where we were coming)which is just one big tourist trap along the highway to Gatlinburg. We could see the city lights at night from the Eagles View deck, and that is as close as we wanted to get! Bottom line: great accommodations, great value, and we had a great time. We will go back.

“Absolutely wonderful”

First time in TN, and to be honest first time renting a cabin like this. Wasn't sure what to expect - but no matter what the place completely exceeded our expectations (prayers)..And would totally recommend this cabin and Patriot. We got a bit lost getting to the cabin, missed a turn - but even that turned out to be a fun time. The cabin is beautiful, and very comfortable. Great views..the whole package. My only recommendation would be that the pillows are in dire need of being replaced..Would use american Patriot Getaways again - they were wonderful - start to finish.

“Beautiful cabin, beautiful view, but would recommend a 4 wheel d”

Myself and 7 other girls rented out this cabin for a bachelorette party and it was perfect for the occasion. The cabin was absolutely beautiful! It had all the neccessities you need for a comfortable and homey stay such as, towels, dishes, blender, washer, dryer, stove, and dishwasher. The view was a great view of the smokey mountains looking perfect every morning. The only problem we had with the place was that the road up to the cabin was so steep that our cars struggled to make it up. I drive a chevy cobalt, which I've never had trouble with, and it smelled like smoke Everytime we got out of it at the cabin. I would definetly recommend this cabin for your vacation or event but be sure to take a vehicle with 4-wheel drive or a bigger engine than a 4cylinder!

“Very nice!”

Nice view, awesome deck, spacious, quiet and comfortable! Had one minor maintenance issue and someone was dispatched promptly. Two downsides: 1) game room too small for pool table shotmaking at some angles(however air hockey works just fine) and 2) noise from first floor can disrupt those sleeping in the loft because it is not walled-in. All considered, we would stay again!

“This is a fine cabin with an outstanding 180 degree panoramic vi”

This is the latest stay we have made in cabins managed by american Patriot Getaways. We thoroughly enjoyed the Eagles View Lodge, and especially the outstanding view from the back deck. No problems were encountered during the entire stay. The lodge was like new, well designed, and very clean. American Patriots Getaways' streamlined system for check-in and directions for locating cabins eliminates any arrival frustrations. We certainly look forward to a return vacation in Eagles View Lodge.

“We loved it!”

Everything was great I couldn't have asked for a better place. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed an extra night. The cabin and view was gorgeous. It was in the right in the middle of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge you were minutes away from Dixie Stampede and Ripley's aquarium and many many more attractions. I wish I never had to come back to my regular life. And the best thing of all it wasn't bad on the pocket. I would recommend everybody to stay with american Patriot Getaways, They give u the best deals, cabins, and also very friendly workers.
