“There's no place like home, except Three winds!”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2013

Great accommodations and a great rental company willing to help out in a kind and polite way with the few things that did come up. The cabin itself was awesome! The mattresses in all rooms were excellent, the outside fireplace had plenty of wood, and the maid service even left us a pumpkin bread! The directions were perfect, although it was way up on top of the mountain which I didn't expect! The only issue was cell phone service, but at least one of us had it. Great get-away! Would definitely rent from Greybeard again!

“There for a wedding”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2013

We were there for our daughters wedding. The cabin was fully furnished. All we needed to provide was our food. The cabin was more than we expected and were really pleased with the TV and Wifi. We would rent this cabin again. Greybeard Rentals was easy to work with and answered all our questions in a very timely manner be it an email or phone call. Renda was a great sales rep.

“Wonderful retreat from the busy world!!”

The pictures online did not do the home justice! It was beautiful. We spent a good bit of time on the screened-in back porch, playing games, having Bible time, and just enjoying our time together. I did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was very well equipped. Everything was clean. We did not expect the huge book collection. My daughter read 3 of the american Girl books during our 1 week stay. There was also a collection of board games and card games for you to play. The Creston development has a small playground that our children were able to play on. We really hope to go back!!

“The screened porch up among the tree tops just made my week ther”

Loved the pumpkin bread on arrival! The digital directions to the house were very clear until we were inside the community gates. Could have been clearer between the turn on North Haven to the arrival at the house on Verbena. That being said, it was pretty easy to find. My favorite part was the screened porch in the back. So relaxing to sit and read there. When it rained, we didn't even mind. Inside Creston we never found any trails to hike on so spent most of our time in Black Mt. and asheville. The kitchen was well equipped and the living/family area was outstanding! Very comfortable. Electricity went out at 5:00pm on July 4th. One call to Greybeard Realty and they notified the electric company that restored the power about 3 hours later. We were very thankful. It could have been much worse. This is the second time we have rented a house through Greybeard and we have been very pleased with our service both times. Great house to relax in. Would definitely rent it again and recommend it to friends.

“Peaceful!”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

This is definitely a "get away from it all house!" Very quiet and beautiful. The house is stunning and very well stocked! We loved the outdoor fireplace! We ate a couple meals at the Straightaway Cafe - it is truly the only "close by" place for a meal or drink. The home is masterfully built and simply stunning! We did encounter a black bear (luckily in our car) a mile from the home so that gives you a sense of the community.

“Very nice!”

We all enjoyed our stay very much! The view is spectacular from the house and surrounding areas. We loved grilling outside and sitting by the fire. Hope to come back soon!

“Great Vacation!!!”

A great cabin. Very quiet and peaceful. It was was a wonderful time for our family to reconnect and relax. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to pull aside from the busy life and rejuvenate. The pumpkin bread as a welcome gift was great!

“Perfect Retreat”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2012

House spotlessly cleaned, directions precise, keys easily accessed. Photos and 360 video great but actual house is even more spacious and beautiful than shown. I loved the remoteness of our mountain, others in my group, though loving the house, wish they could have gotten to local attractions quicker. I'd be a happy visitor there all summer...screened porch my favorite spot.

“A great getaway for a relaxing time.”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2012

The home is a little bit of a drive up the mountain but feels very safe and has everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Be sure to stop at the Straightaway cafe which is the closest place to grab a bite or beer. The directions I got from the rental agency were not so good, so make sure you take a GPS or investigate the most direct route which is the westernmost exit to Highway 9 from Interstate 40. Probably going to try and visit this place again.

“A cozy and beautiful place to spend Thanksgiving.”

Reviewed 8 Dec 2011

We had a lovely visit to Three Winds this Thanksgiving holiday. It is in the beautiful neighborhood of Creston, just a few minutes from Cheshire Village, Black Mountain, downtown Black Mountain and a few more minutes to asheville. Everything in the house worked well and it was well-equipped with anything you could possible need. The beds were really comfy and the wireless worked great, too. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, and thanks for the delicious pumpkin bread, Greybeard! Thanks! Roxanne in Louisiana
