Loved this unit. Very well maintained. Will book again. Ocean views are wonderful. The unit has everything you would need beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkels.
You'll want to stay in unit # 03, it over looks maui's beautiful ocean. The sunsets are amazing from your balcony and the unit itself is beautiful and very clean. You walk downstairs and your a few steps from the ocean. You can b.b.q or go for a swim in their beautiful swimming pool.
“Home in Paradise”
This was our second experience at Kahana Village and as in the past, we were not disappointed! Unit #3 is very comfortable, clean, quiet and has everything anyone could want in the kitchen. Unit #3 has an exceptional view of the whales playing in the ocean from the lanai. We look forward to a return trip!
Great Condo - Clean, spacious and beautiful location. People there were very friendly and we'd love to go back sometime.
“Beautifully appointed ocean front condo!”
This was a beautifully decorated condo right on the beach. We could see whale spouts from the balcony. Sea turtles in the water that often bask on the shore. A monk seal one day as well. Not a good swimming beach. Strong under toe and rocks. During our stay they had a huge tent set up that blocked some of our view. We were told it was for one nigh but it ended up being two. The staff was very condescending. Professional but not warm or friendly. No stairs no aC but we knew this prior to our arrival. Ours was a 2 bedroom upstairs unit. One of the bedrooms was upstairs in loft style accommodations with a double and twin bed. Good for a family not so good for two couples. Well equipped unit from the kitchen to the beach chairs and water toys. It was very beautifully furnished with high end accessories. If you had young children you might be a little nervous about the kids breaking something. We found this as a last minute replace for a scam we were sold on Maui. We were able to get just four nights which is all we needed. Parking was good and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Beach was kind of short and limited to how far you could walk. Would we stay there again. . . Probably not? The pool was nice. The owners we met by the pool were very nice.
“Another lovely stay”
This is our second holiday at Kahana Village, and just as good as the first. The accommodation was lovely, and to be able to see whales from the balcony was a bonus. The apartment was very clean, and the kitchen equipped with all that we needed.
“A beautiful, relaxing ocean front condo with an awesome view!”
Overall we were very pleased with the condo! Loved the open concept and design - perfect for our family of four. Smaller and private area, away from the hustle and bustle, which was what we generally wanted. The unit was a bit noisy at times, due to some loud neighbor's (twice). Mostly because they were inconsiderate of those around them. Otherwise we had a great stay and would definitely come back!! A bit of a drive to most of the amenities, but as long as you have a rental car you are fine.
“Can't beat the view”
My family of five (2 adults, 3 kids ages 10, 14, 19) stayed in Unit 3 for 8 days. The view from the lanai is absolutely breathtaking and is, by far, the reason to stay in this unit. Overall, the unit was clean, well-equipped and conveniently located to the pool and beach access. Cross-breezes kept it comfortable, but it was necessary to keep the windows and curtains open all the time. Generally not a problem, and great for listening to the ocean. However, our oldest son slept on the sofa bed each night (which he said was very comfortable), and the light coming in meant he was awake each day at 7. The upstairs loft has a single and a queen sized bed, so think about who will be sleeping where, and if you really have 2 people who can sleep together in the queen (we did not). Otherwise, it only sleeps 5, with that 5th person on the sofa. Another issue with the open windows is the property next door. The outside lights were left on all night and shone in on the master bedroom. The decor of the unit in nice, although I feel like it's a little crowded with stuff, making the unit feel smaller than it really is. Kahana Village is a nice little complex, and is close to stores and restaurants. You could walk, but parts of the road do not have sidewalks and it is probably a good mile to get anywhere. The complex pool is delightful with lots of chairs and tables. There are four large grills available for guests and they get lots of use every night. There is no playground and no other activities that I noticed if you have younger kids. In general, I would say it's perfect for people who want a great view of the sunset each night and who don't require a lot of hotel amenities. Would be ideal for a family reunion or a vacation with multiple families.
“Beautiful view, perfect condo for our family of 5.”
The condo and Kahana Village was just as described, although you must note that the second bedroom is a loft with a queen bed and a twin bed, which worked out great for us. The sleeper sofa in the living room is a good option, too. Two bathrooms were great! The condo was nicely upgraded and decorated, very clean and felt like home! Exactly the kind of condo I was looking for. Everything we needed was within reach. Great to have a washer, dryer and kitchen as well, because eating out all the time is a challenge. The best part- the view and the beach! Amazing views throughout the day and evening. If you love the sound of the waves, this is your kind of place! The sandy beach is small but peaceful and private, so it's not crowded ever, and the beach has an easy rolling surf, great for swimming and cooling off. Kids are 16, 12 and 9 and couldn't have been happier! Nice to have boogie boards, sand chairs and a cooler there for our use. No a/C in the unit, which was fine because the ceiling fans and daily breeze cool the condo of nicely. Kahana is an excellent location, close to boogie boarding beaches (D.T. Flemming Beach is a good one), snorkeling beaches (just past Kapalua), and golf, perfect for us, and not smack in the middle of crowded beaches like Ka'anapali or Napili. I would definitely come back to Kahana Village. Thanks for a great experience!
We all loved the condo! It was the nicest place we have ever stayed in all of Hawaii! Thank you for providing all the conveniences of home in such a beautiful location.
