“Heaven on Earth!”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2014

Loved our stay here. Enjoyed watching the turtles in the bay every morning, as well as the iguanas in the trees. Excellent location, and very private. Catered To was excellent to work with. We arrived in the morning, and even though we couldn't get into the house yet, they were very accomodating. We were met by a greeter who took us to the house to drop our luggage and pick up beach towels. She showed us where we would pick up our rental car, the grocery stores, the gas station, etc. The only bad part was leaving!!

“Villa Colibri views are breathtaking!!”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2012

Just returned from a week stay in Villa Colibri - as you go through the front door, the views of the ocean are simply breathtaking. We were two couples sharing the villa - more than enough room. Gourmet kitchen, pool, W/D, everything you could ask for. Location was great for us as we were going into Cruz Bay daily. Would definitely stay here again.

“Perfect setting for a great vacation.”

This as our 6th time back to St. John renting a villa and we absolutely loved this location. The view from everywhere is spectacular. We watched the sea turtles every morning from the balcony while we enjoyed our coffee. I have to say we really enjoyed the a/C in the evenings after a long day in the sun. The breezes were not blowing this year during our weeks stay, so it was a nice feature to have when needed. The updated kitchen was great. The pool is very nice and at night we would watch the bats fly around and drink from the pool. You cannot beat the location. It is close to everything you might need or want to do. Some of the furniture seemed older island style, but all very comfortable and enjoyable. I would rate the house, view and location a 10 and the furnishings apart from the kitchen an 8. Would defiantly rent this spot a again.

“Christmas at Christmas ever.”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2012

I spent Christmas week at Colibri with family (all adults). This is the first time we did Christmas away and it was great! I had stayed at Colibri once before a few years back. The house has since been updated and the changes were fantastic. The kitchen is now a beautiful chef's kitchen. The deck off the dining room is huge with dining table/chairs and a grill, and provides the most amazing views you can imagine. There is no need to eat out when you have a view like this at the house. The bedrooms are all nicely furnished. The lower deck is very large with plenty of space for lounging in the sun. The pool is perfect when when the sun gets a little too hot and you need to cool off. The house now has a fourth full bathroom down by the pool, which is very convenient. The house is very private and the views are simply incredible (180 degrees of beautiful ocean). I would definitely visit again and highly recommend this property. The one issue we had while visiting was that one of the water heaters (the house has two) was not working properly so the kitchen, one of the lower bedrooms, and the bathroom by the pool did not have hot water for a few days. The service folks were very responsive once we notified them, but due to Christmas and Boxing Day, it could not be repaired for several days. The house did have hot water in the other two bedrooms, so everyone was able to shower with hot water in the interim. I would recommend adding lights for the stairs that go from the upper deck down to the lower deck and bedrooms. It can be a bit dark at night in that area.

“Best location yet !”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2010

We truly enjoyed our stay at Colibri. The recent renovations made this the best site we have used in four visits. Colibri looks out over St. Thomas, with placid waters and nightly sunsets. Easy to reach and plenty of space and privacy for three couples. Architecture is just wonderful, and accommodations are great. Catered To does and excellent job with properties such as this. If we could, we would go annually and stay at Colibri.

“The view”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2009

Although it was extremely hot and humid, the (almost) fully air-conditioned Colibri was up for the challenge. Having stayed in several Catered To villas with beautiful views, we were struck with the great view from the living room as well as the deck - it was the same. It was a nice panorama with St. Thomas in the center and the entrance to Great Cruz Bay on the right. And facing west, we had some beautiful sunsets. An inconvenience was that there is no bathroom connected to the living area, requiring one to go outside to reach the master suite (part of the villa but no internal entry) or outside and down the steps for the other bedrooms. The other inconvenience - which is obviously just an issue in the heat of the summer - was that the master bathroom is not covered by airconditioning, although the two downstairs were. Over all, we enjoyed the stay and would try Colibri again.
