Description

Villa Metochi is the ultimate holiday home for modern-day vacationers searching for full privacy and total home-like comfort, along with easy and rapid access to downtown amenities and to the nearest sandy beaches. This gorgeous villa stands in an enviable cliff-side setting overlooking the Aegean Sea and the endless Cretan olive groves, and it’s reachable within a 6-minute drive from the town of Rethymnon. Villa Metochi is a single-storey building consisting of a roomy main house (90 sqm) with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a fully equipped studio (40sqm) with 2 beds, 1 bathroom, and can comfortably accommodate 6 -7 persons. The excellent location, the homey atmosphere, the feeling of independence and the intense close-to-nature sensation will ensure a fantastic vacation experience. This lovely property is ideal for extended families with kids or groups of friends.

Outdoor

After entering the villa’s gate you will surprisingly find yourselves into an amazing 2.500 sqm exterior space with palm trees, pines, fruit trees, lawn and all kind of ornamental and aromatic plants. This beautiful ambience is completed by a stunning private swimming pool (9m long & 1.40m deep). By the pool, there is a lovely gazebo and a lawn area where you can lounge and sunbathe while enjoying a cold, refreshing beverage. The veranda of the house with its dining table for 6 is the perfect spot for having plentiful meals with family and friends or feeling the rejuvenating night dew whilst enjoying a summer cocktail. The villa also features another outdoor sitting area with BBQ facilities and a big table for 6. Between the BBQ area and the swimming pool there is a play area (swingset and slide) for kids and a hammock for revitalizing naps under the shade of pines. For the more energetic guests, there is an outdoor table tennis offering additional enjoyment. Depending on the season, our guests may have the change to taste fresh fruits from our trees (apricots, pears, oranges, loquats, mandarins, lemons, etc).

Indoor

The main house of Villa Metochi covers a ground floor space with an open-plan living room, a fully equipped kitchen, two spacious bedrooms (1 double & 1 twin) and a bathroom with shower cabin. This layout is perfect for two couples or families of four. The comfy living room with its discreet decoration and the wooden ceiling boasts 2 triple sofas and a monastery-style dining table for 8, is air-conditioned and opens up to a large veranda with amazing views of the pool and the well-kept gardens. The house is equipped with free WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player, washing machine, electric fans, hairdryer, safe box, iron/iron board, first aid kit and all necessary items and appliances for a comfortable stay.

Studio

The studio with its roominess and its rustic-like furnishing can ideally host 2-3 extra guests. This annex house is fully equipped and features two comfortable beds, a large kitchen, a spacious bathroom with shower cabin, an A/C unit and a flat screen TV. The studio can be additionally booked in case the total number of guests is higher than 4 and a supplementary charge will be required. Otherwise, it will remain closed.

In addition, within the premises of the villa there is an adorable and very friendly medium-size dog called Ermis. Our dog disposes of his own place with fresh water and food. Usually, he is free hanging around, but if you are not familiar with dogs, there is no reason to worry about! He can perfectly remain at his place.

- Entertainment and storytelling services to small children from 1 year old including Improvisation, theatrics, music, games, etc. Stories are narrated in Greek and English by a professional story teller and it’s a great opportunity for an early contact with foreign languages and cultures through amusing and educational activities.
