“Fantastic 3 month stay!”
This was my second stay here at St.John's in under a year. This time however I stayed for 3 months in this lovely little apartment. John and Christine are lovely to deal with and i'll miss them! If you ever need anything you can find Johnny throughout the building or Christine in the office below. It is a really cozy apartment with one large square room. hall and separate bathroom. The hall is nice and bright with a skylight which also sounds great at night with the rain pouring down. The bathroom had a great shower/bath. Even though it is small it fits perfectly and is nice and light with the glazed window and is very private. You are also given shampoo and conditioner plus body wash. The room itself has a lot of storage, bedside lockers with cool pull out doors, alarm clocks, fantastic looking lamps and there is a large closet. The kitchen is small but very usable, has pots, pans, cooker, large fridge, nice sink, plenty of cabinets, microwave etc. The bed is very comfy and it's lovely being able to lay in bed at night watching the great big tv! The room also has a cd or ipod player so if you want to listen to music while cooking it's great. The location is great, you are near all the major tourist spots. Some are a bus ride away. It takes about 15 minutes to walk downtown which is downhill. You are also near all the bars and restaurants around capitol hill. It can be noisy at night time on a Friday or Saturday but that is to be expected around this area. I really enjoyed my stay here and after 3 months it truly became my home from home. Anyone staying there will love it!
I really enjoyed this studio. There is ample room for two people. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 day. The kitchen is well equipped, there was even a coffeemaker and coffee. Everyone in the building are very friendly and the videos available are a great perk! We spent a couple nights in just watching movies. The grocery store is literally across the street, so cooking was no problem. We walked most places and my car stayed parked for the majority of the trip Much better than a hotel! I hope to stay again!
“Good studio in a great location”
We chose this studio because of the location. It is five mins walk from Victrola coffee and near to great beer including Elysian brewing--how much better does it get? And walking to downtown only takes 20 minutes. For me, this is ideal. I was surprised how well the flat is laid out. They pack a lot of stuff into a small space without it feeling cluttered. Although it has carpeted floors, it felt clean. The kitchen was great for a place of this size--well equipped and with full gas range. And with a very good 24-hour supermarket directly across the street, we really felt like cooking and did use the kitchen. The hallway and bathroom are the weak points, as neither is heated and the bathroom could use an upgrade. Also, the internet was very sluggish the whole time we were there. Other than that, I would highly recommend this vacation rental.
“St. John's apartments on Captol Hill in Seattle”
We lived in #319 at St. John's for about a month and a half during the summer of 2013. We are Seattle residents who have been teaching overseas for the last two years. For us, it was a sweet homecoming, and St. John's provided a great home and location. Johnny and Christine at St. John's are friendly, kind, and accommodating, without being invasive. St. John's location is fantastic, and many attractions are within 10 to 15 minutes of walking distance: Pike Place Market, downtown, water-front piers, Volunteer Park, and many more. Qfc (Quality Food Center), a full-service grocery store, is just across the street! Many bus lines also serve the area. Plus, the rent is reasonable/affordable--especially for Seattle. We will definitely stay at St. John's, again! Terry and Kim
