- Very Good
We chose to stay at Living Waters as i got ready to participate in a triathlon in Marble Falls. The location was very convenient and our hosts spent the time to talk with us and make sure we knew what options we had for getting food and resting up. The yoga class on Saturday morning was very good and had we had more time i am sure we would have tried obe of the massages.
“It's a place you need to see”
My wife and I were looking for a long needed getaway over Valentines Day and this place did not disappoint. It is just peaceful. The Cottage we stayed in was nice and cozy. The rooms were clean and my wife and I were incredibly pleased to see deer walking through the woods, maybe 25 feet from us. I cannot stress it enough, this place is just a place you have to visit yourself and make your own conclusion. We were very satisfied and how often can a grown woman say she woke up, took a walk outside and ended up having a mimosa in a tree watching the sunrise over the water? My wife can! There are plenty of things to see and do nearby. No complaints from us. Can't wait to be there again! We didnt wanr to forget Bethany, the cottage proprietor, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Book it now and enjoy yourselves!
“Best Getaway yet!”
My husband and I went here to get away from our busy life and take some much needed R&R.; Well that is exactly what we got from the time we arrived till the time we left. The room was amazing and the ambiance of the entire area leaves you wanting to go back. We went with the romance package for our stay and having a home made breakfast delivered to our door step was such a nice treat for myself as I am usually the one cooking. We also opted for a private yoga and one on one messages. Lots of great things to do like eat at fabulous restaurants and enjoy wineries and other elegant fun. Bethany assisted in finding all the fun things for us to do and it left me little to worry or plan.
We greatly enjoyed our stay! Great price for having such a large space to stay in. The room was accommodated with a big bathroom that had fresh clean towel and toiletries. The shower curtain made showering tricky since it stuck to you from every angle but the natural spring water made my hair super shinny! The property is absoluetly gorgeous and we never really ran into other guests which made it feel like we had the place to ourselves. Sad that the lake is so low and can't really be used. The wildflowers were everywhere which made for great views and made this trump any hotel.
Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. You definitely visited at the perfect time of year for the BEST wildflowers! Thank you for bringing up the issue of the shower curtain to our attention ~ we were unaware of this and will fix that immediately. Have a beautiful day and we hope to see you again soon!
“This cottage was very quiet and relaxing.”
Bethany and Travis were very gracious hosts. We enjoyed staying in the cottage. The rooms were comfortable and spacious while lacking the closets to store clothing and luggage during the stay. It was 20 miles to the nearest store, so it would have been easier to cook if the kitchette had a full size refrigerator to accomodate more cooking. It was quite a long trek down a hill to the water where the dock was. What I disliked most about the home was that the place was not very clean. The carpet had thorn sticks from the outside which was uncomfortable to step on. There were spider webs in the corners of the ceiling which told me the cleaning person was not doing a good job. Since the outside patio area was supposed to be the most attractive feature since you could see the lake, it too had spider webs all around and the patio furniture had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.
“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!”
Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. “Hummingbirds, Hammocks, and Happiness”
The cozy cottage is truly a relaxation destination for anyone who wants to unwind in the beauty and nature of verdant spice wood Texas. Atop a hill overlooking lake travis, you can enjoy wind chimes in the breeze and forget all the hustle and bustle of anywhere that is not in that exact place and time. Our favorite way to spend the afternoon was sipping ice tea in the shady hammock watching the hummingbirds dance from flower to flower until the sun warms our bones enough to where we take a stroll down the property and dip into the lake. Repeat. We had everything we needed within the cottage. It was clean and well decorated. Can't say enough about how at home we felt. Would highly recommend staying here with a lover, family or friends.
