- Very Good
My husband ,son and his wife stayed in Sirocco for 9 days....it was Paradise !!! Apartment is nicely done and comfortable. A few games or cards would be nice , or a few movies in English, as it does get dark around 1900. The pools and ocean at our front door were so beautiful. We spent a lot of time in the pools and paddling out to the reef to snorkel . Very nice to have all the equipment , snorkel gear, paddle boards and kayaks available. What a view off the porch. The caretaker Ricardo and his wife on site was really nice. He got us coconuts off the tree and serviced us fresh coconuts with a straw. What a treat ! They also keep the place very clean and nice. Plus they have a couple of really cute dogs ! Ate breakfast and snacks in and dined out in Tulum nightly, lots of really great restaurants, fresh ceviche and shrimp can't go wrong. Coba ruins , Sian Ka'an Biosphere and many cenotes are all very close and worth the time. Hanging out and enjoying the private location was our favorite. We did not want to leave. We also met Loic and his wife the owners as they were there for a few days with us.... lovely. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us !
“This place was amazing”
My wife and I along with another couple rented the Sirocco side. It was a great 2 bedroom 2 bath area with a porch facing their lovely jungle side and the other facing the bay. We spent our days by waking up, making breakfast then walking out to enjoy the sun in any one of their beach chairs, hammocks or awesome bean bag chairs. When we got too hot we would jump in the ocean or one of their two pools. The snorkeling was amazing. You could either jump in at the house or use one of their many kayaks or stand up paddle boards and tie up at one of the buoys by the main reef. For dinner we would either walk down to the hotel that has a restaurant or dive 10-15 min down to Tulum and eat at any number of great places. We are already talking about making plans to come back with a bigger group.
“El Mejor Lugar”
Un Lugar Facil DE Llegar. Con Instalaciones DE Primera Calidad. Atención Siempre amable Y atenta. Espacios amplios Y Lujosos. Lo Recomendaria ampliamente, sin Duda alguna. Calificación: 5 Estrellas
“Wow, The Perfect Vacation Spot”
Sombras Del Viento turned out to be a beautiful Villa with a perfect location on Soliman Bay. Loic, his wife and staff were the perfect hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Bora 1Br unit which was well equipped and had a huge palapa covered deck to enjoy the views. If you want a luxury, quiet get-away, this is your place!
“Nice property; close to Tulum, Xel-Ha, and Cenotes”
The grounds are beautiful and the house is nice. It is down a long bumpy dusty road so prepare for extra time to drive. You may want to rent a car with decent suspension. Don't get the maid to make you a dinner. Ours was awful--literally inedible, and cost about $ 75 or 1000 pesos (because of additional trumped up charges beyond her receipts and service fees on the menu). Also, the maid doesn't work on the weekends, so no room service then. Other than that it's nice, peaceful and beautiful grounds.
It was everything we hoped for and more. Beautiful house and apartment, staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The owner has thought of everything and the house is very organized. Perfect place to relax in the Mayan Riviera.
“Amazing, amazing, amazing”
We are frequent travellers to the Riviera Maya area with stays at all Inclusives and various condos. We were lucky to come across Sombras del Viento on our most recent trip in July 2011. We stayed for 3 nights at this villa and wished we would have found this gem at the beginning of our trip. This property has everything you would need to enjoy a relaxing time at the beach. No need to pack your snorkel gear as they have that along with enough kayaks to outfit your entire group. The pool was very clean and refreshing and Miguel made sure the grounds were immaculate. Alejandra was always available to get anything you needed that wasn't in the villa. Had the pleasure to meet the owners and that made our trip even more amazing. Can't recommend this treasure enough! We will most certainly be back and can't wait til we do.
