“Great: Relaxing, Private, Low-key, Friendly”
Very accommodating: We were going to be a little late and they were going to be out so Gregg left a note for us on the palm tree by the driveway. Very comfortable bed, very relaxed atmosphere, quiet surroundings, friendly but unobtrusive hosts. wonderful for someone who wants to get away from the rush.
A wonderful place to stay...absolutely beautiful. Gregg and Danielle are wonderful hosts who provided excellent ideas about what to do while visiting Maui. This area is my favorite part of the island...very lush but only rained at night. It's really paradise.
friendly owner, beautiful garden, nice cottage with everything on it, Haiku's best place
“Peaceful and secluded”
This rental option is highly recommended. The cottage is set in a beautiful garden full of flowers, birds, trees, and stone Buddhas overgrown with moss. The garden is cleverly landscaped so the cottage is hidden away in its own little piece of jungle. I was really happy to find the cottage sparkling clean when I arrived - and just had an instant good feeling about the whole place. In fact, it ticked every box for me - simple, clean, secluded, and very well cared for.
“Real Maui, Real aloha, Real Island Style”
Thank you Gregg and Danielle for sixteen days of tropical delights. Your hospitality, kindness and respect for our privacy were so welcome and generous. Your cottage met my "dream" most of all for the peace and quiet, perfect for the personal retreat and animated family visit I had in mind. The well-designed but compact premises feel secluded, even though the expansive windows open onto the spacious lawn and landscaping, facing a huge mango tree. We enjoyed the glimpse of the ocean, wild cloud formations, luscious sunrise and sunset colors, trade winds rustling through the palms, the thump of coconuts and cardinals singing all day. Logistics were easy with our own washer/dryer on the back porch, plenty of dishes and glassware, fully-equipped kitchen and the entirely useful and comfortable living space. Lots of fluffy bathroom towels and extra kitchen linens, along with good quality pots and pans made for great convenience if not luxury, more than adequate for our needs. The entire cottage was absolutely sparkling clean, from windows to kitchen utensils, the shower stall, and even the far back corner of the walk-in closet. Easily adjusted screened windows on all sides let in refreshing breezes, but kept evening mosquitoes out. You welcomed knowing if anything was worn out by quickly replacing it, even if it didn't matter much to us. Ninety-seven year old Dad, who joined me for much of my stay, found comfort and convenience that easily met his needs. The paved path was just right for him to keep up his frequent exercise jaunts, especially thrilling him with new orchids opening up every day. He was awed by such vibrant colors and the amazing scented orchids. Your guests should know that you offer a rare and special place, authentic in its welcome, setting and style. No glitz or gimmick. Just real island love: Aloha.
Loved the place. Windy and rainy at night but dry by morning. Lots of fruit trees. Owners had very helpful info. Relaxing and pretty. Easy to get to other parts of the island.
Response from the owner Glad you enjoyed all the fresh fruit and flower gardens. Come back and visit soon.
