“Lovely apartment with super roof terrace”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2015

We have recently stayed at this apartment and found it to be perfect for us. Plenty of kitchen utensils and equipment, good bathrooms with new towels, and a comfortable but firm double bed. A lovely lounge and dining area with new flat screen TV, with tons of channels! If that's what you like. A balcony for a morning cuppa and a fab roof terrace with mains gas bbq and plenty of seats and a table. 2 new sunloungers on the terrace also. Good beach towels are also provided. The staff at the complex were very helpful during our stay and even brought the big bottles of water up for us (3 flights of stairs). Please take time to learn some Spanish as many in the local area don't speak your language - and they very much appreciate the fact that you try. Plenty of restaurants, Bakeries and small supermarkets within a 5 min walk. We had a car so did not use the local beach, we drove to Jellyfish for comfy loungers and good food. We are also golfers and all the courses we played were excellent and we were virtually the only players on a course after 2 pm!! Hopefully you will find this review helpful - you will have a great holiday here.

“Nice apartment, Nice condo, a bit far from beach if you have kid”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

Rented for 2 weeks just around Christmas. The apartment was clean and everything was as expected. We asked for a blender and they immediately went to buy a brand new one for us. Excellent service. The terrace is fantastic for barbecues and to have dinner at night but be prepared to some mosquito bites :) We had 2 kids (3 and 4 y.o) and they had a lot of fun on the beach or in the pool. The only negative experience has probably nothing to do with the apartment but with the location. The beach is only 5 minutes away from the apartment but if you have young kids, those 5 minutes became 15 or 20. Most of the beach around the condo is owned by hotels and accessible only to the hotel guests. There are only 1 or 2 very small pieces of beach that are owned by restaurants and they will allow you access for free. However, those places were crowded so sometime was difficult to find chairs. I liked the apartment but Punta Cana tourism is very much oriented toward all inclusive beach hotels so you will not find many grocery stores or shops around the town. Be prepared to rent a car.

Response from the manager Dear Federico, thank you for your nice review and I am happy to see that you have enjoyed your stay and that you like the apartment. It is true that if you have small children and you have to walk the 5 minutes to the beach it can become a long walk and having a car would be a plus. You can actually use the beach in front of Beach Residency, the Tiki bar has lots of chairs and the beach in front of Playa Turquesa is very large. There is a supermarket that has everything at Plaza El Dorado at a 6 minute walk from the condo as well as a bakery and pharmacy and the fruit and vegetable stand is at a 4 minute walk and the truck comes a few times a week to the condo with fresh produce. A large supermarket will open at the end of March at a 5 minute drive from the condo, you can take public transportation for $1 and we already have Super Pola, at a 10 minute drive. Hope to see you next time in one of our 21 rental properties of which several on the beach. Warm regards, Ellen
