place was really comfortable and centrally located. only issue is someone left a few windows open in the house. besides the house being cold, we left the house a few times without knowing the windows were open. anyone could have come into the house. also lights in the front of the house had burn out bulbs and potato chip bag was left under bed.
“Great inspite of bone chilling temps and wind”
Location to bus stop ideal Handy to town and grocery store Friendly people, Only problem was concern over not being able to turn off gas fireplace and confusing direction from reservation staff. Breckinridge had interesting shops and restaurants.
Perfect access to bus line that takes you straight to Peak 9 base. Short walk to Main St in nice weather, or a really short drive. House is nice enough, good water pressure and hot water. Beds are adequate. Hot tub is small (2 people). Overall a great value and a perfect location for a Breck ski trip. visitbreck.com was good to work with and the free ski passes with stay was what made me choose this deal. Best part is location, there were no major negatives to speak of. Would (and likely will) stay there again. Could use a bigger TV if I had to find a negative.
“A bit of a hike to the slopes”
Located right in front of the elementary school and a park with a wicked fun sledding hill. Grocery/liquor store is one block west. Main street is two blocks west. Ski lifts are 15 - 20 min walk, a bit too far carrying equipment. However the bus station is directly in front of the place and leaves every 20 min. The ride is 20 - 25 min. The heating is radiant floor heating, so if you leave your ski equipment on the floor, it will be warmed up nicely in the morning. Checkin/Checkout was hassle free. I arrived after the office closed and left before it opened with ease. There are drop boxes to pick up and drop of keys. You only get two sets of keys, wish there were more. I never used the private town shuttle or the hot tub. Breckenridge grooms just about everything. The imperial express lift was closed most of the time I went to Breck, so I don't know what the above treeline terrain is like. Tons of bare spots, rocks, and tree stumps due to very thin cover (even in early Feb!). Had a similar experience at Breck last year, the place just doesn't seem to get the snow. Snowfall totals and base depth numbers are very suspect at Breck. Vail conditions were much much better. Monday - Friday skiing at all the resorts had little to no lift lines. Saturday/Sunday wait times can get very long; 30min+. Overall, the house is very comfortable for six people. I think more than six people would push the limits. House has full kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/silverware and a dishwasher. It has one very small 4 person square dining table awkwardly pushed into a corner. Washer and dryer are very nice to have. There is outside ski/board storage. Ran out of TP and the garbage started piling up through the week. There was nothing in the guest folder that addressed getting basic supplies or how to handle garbage collection. Except for snow removal equipment and garbage trucks, the place is quiet. The package deal with lift tickets to the five resorts was very affordable and convenient
We were able to walk to dining and entertainment...the place was nice and very comfortable. So handy with a washer and dryer! The dishes were all dirty when we got there but didn't stop our fun. We will use this company again!
“Great Holiday getaway”
The house is a wonderful little house with a large living room and open kitchen. It was great on New Years Day to watch football games while cooking a wonderful feast. The house is right on the shuttle route to slopes. There is even a small hill at the elementary school close by where we enjoyed sledding. We really appreciated the heating in the floor and the washer/dryer that is in the master bedroom. Had a wonderful time.
This is in a great location - close to downtown Breckenridge; convenient to shopping, restaurants, hiking/biking/ski trails. It has the charm of a mountain cottage and all the amenities you need for a nice vacation.
