“Immaculate, Well-Stocked House”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2015

The house was spotless and the yard impeccable. The kitchen was better stocked than those of most people I know. I suggest you go to the house to check out the pantry and cupboards before buying groceries and supplies because many of the items you will need are already there. For example, you probably will not need to buy any spices or condiments. In addition, they had several coolers that could be borrowed. The owners were very accessible. They came by at least three times during our week-long stay, but they were not intrusive. We also called them a few times to ask some questions, and they were more than happy to provide information. They will send you a detailed packet of information well before your trip that includes info on the house, restaurants in the area, and day trips. They also have a copy of this at the house so you don’t need to bring it with you. They have laundry detergent and dish soap. All the furniture was very comfortable, including the bedding and the patio furniture. It was relaxing to come “home” after a long day’s hike in Glacier. Almost every evening, we sat on the patio, enjoyed the mountain views, and watched the sun go down. Having an office was nice for the two in our party who wanted to have a “working vacation”. The only problem we had was with the desktop computer. We couldn’t figure out how to pull out the keyboard to a more comfortable position, and once we accessed the internet, we could only access what looked like the home page for the local TV station or newspaper. We were unable to access Google or any other site on the internet. But of course, whenever the owners came by, we didn’t think to ask them about it. I’m sure if we did, they would have worked to solve the problem immediately. Because we all had smart phones or laptop computers and the WiFi worked just fine, we didn’t really need the desktop computer anyway. The house is 35-45 minutes from the West Glacier entrance of Glacier National Park. Be aware that, once you enter the park, there is almost another 45-minute drive from the entrance to Logan’s Pass. Since the parking lot at Logan’s Pass is full by 9:00, you will want to leave home by 7:30 if you are going there. The drive was easy, though, so it didn’t seem as long as it really was. The Super 1 grocery store in Columbia Falls, between the house and the park, is good for buying sandwiches for picnicking in the park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house!

“Glacier National Park Trip”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2014

The owners of the home, Ryan & Sarah, provided us with a beautiful & very clean home. They also provided a lot of extra information on Glacier National Park & the surrounding area. Information on best hikes, other places to visit in the area, favorite restaurants & shopping, etc. The scenery in Glacier is spectacular & the home is conveniently located approximately 20 miles from the West Glacier entrance. My wife & I highly recommend this home & dealing with Ryan & Sarah was extremely easy & pleasant. If you fly into the Glacier Park airport in Kalispell you are only 2 or 3 miles from the home. In our experience this is a great place to stay.

“Great Home for Trip to Glacier National Park!”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2014

This home was great for our trip to Glacier National Park! It is less than 30 mins to the West Glacier entrance, 4 mins to the airport and easily accessible to Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Kalispell. We enjoyed returning to a lovely, peaceful setting with incredible views after full days of hiking. The patio area was our favorite spot for breakfasts and dinners or just unwinding with our favorite local brew! The home is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need for your vacation! The owners, Sarah and Ryan, were great to work with. Hope to return again soon!

“Beautiful home that was tastefully decorated”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2014

We could not have been happier with everything from the reservation to the sad ending to a wonderful vacation. Ryan & Sarah are great to work with and was very pleased that they took the time to meet and greet us. We did a number of things while in Columbia Falls including but not limited to visiting Glacier National Park, Hungry Horse Dam and Big Mountain. After a long day, it was a welcome relief to come home to the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. We also spent many hours just relaxing in the backyard, playing croquet and tossing the Frisbee around. Thank You Ryan & Sarah for making our vacation an experience we will never forget. Love your home and your State!!!

“Beautiful Home, Excellent Location, very Pleasant Stay!”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

Fantastic Vacation Home! Our party of two couples left extremely satisfied with our stay at Ryan and Sarah's lovely home. Upon arriving, we were very pleased to find that everything we looked forward to was precisely as listed! What a gorgeous, comfortable place to settle in to for a week! We felt at home instantly! Two of us did a lot of photographing during our stay, and there was plenty of room to spread out and organize all of our equipment, not to mention four hiking packs and gear! We used the kitchen quite a bit, and found every appliance and utensil we needed to create nice breakfasts, and wonderful dinners after many long days of hiking in nearby Glacier National Park - and that is an experience no one should miss! Especially handy were the washer and dryer which we used mid-visit, therefore allowing us to pack fewer clothes for flying and consequently paying less for bag fees! This home was, without doubt, the cleanest we've stayed in, in great order, and oh so comfortable! We melted into the memory-foam-topped, comfy beds at night, and loved the roomy bathrooms! The great room is certainly a wonderful feel as well - very spacious and open! We really enjoyed eating in the nook which provided marvelous views of the expansive back yard with the scenic mountains as a backdrop! The back patio shares the same views as the nook, and was indeed a beautiful and relaxing place to rest up for the next days' outings - additionally, the patio furniture was clean as well, which was a delightful change from other rentals we've experienced! Prior to our visit, and to help with planning, the O'Rourkes sent very helpful, complete, and clear information about nearby restaurants, grocery stores, other sightseeing opportunities... the list goes on... Any and every friendly service we needed was nearby. We truly feel that this was an incredible value for all that we experienced here. All four of us highly recommend this classy and well decorated home with avid enthusiasm!

“Beautiful home, great location, wonderful stay!”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2013

Wow! This home was wonderful for our trip to Glacier National Park. If you plan to stay in West Glacier, this is the place to reserve! The home is nicely set up, very comfortable and extremely clean! Everything you could possibly need is provided with your stay: very comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen, great laundry facility, a welcoming and cozy family room to watch television and relax with the family and a very quiet neighborhood. We loved coming back to this home after a long day visiting the park and area. We especially loved the mountain views while enjoying playing in the backyard. Sarah and Ryan were awesome! They provide a wonderful place to stay, a welcome note, a binder filled with information on the local area and recommendations of things to do and see. We enjoyed a day trip to White Fish for a relaxing lunch and exceptional shopping. We also visited the Hungry Horse Dam and learned a bit of history for the area. Sarah and Ryan were always friendly and prompt with their communication. It was a pleasure to stay at their home and we would highly recommend it for your stay; you won't be disappointed!

“Absolutely awesome”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2013

The best part of this vacation rental was that after a day of seeing the sights (and there are many) we could truly relax in this home. It was so comfortable, immediately feeling like home, and very well stocked. We wish we could stay longer just to enjoy the home more!

“The house is spacious, warm, comfortable and clean.”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2013

The owners were extremely accommodating when we had to adjust our arrival date. They left a book of restaurants and "things to do" in the area, which we found extremely helpful. The warm welcome sign was a pleasant greeting. The beds and sofa were the right size and were very comfortable. The kitchen and the accompanying pots, pans, toaster, microwave, silverware, etc. made us feel right at home. We also were able to do our laundry. All in all it was a wonderful experience at a great price.

“Beautiful home for our stay near glacier national park”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2013

What a gorgeous home with every amenity you could think of! Only about a 20 minute drive to Glacier National Park! It was perfect for our stay for all 3 generations in our party. It is a one story floor plan with plenty of room and slept 8 of us comfortably. We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen very much and loved having our morning coffee out on the patio with the mountains in the background !

“Comfortable, well organized and very clean house”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2012

Sarah and Ryan were great - starting with our first contact, check-in and check-out. The house is very nice and well organized - the house was so plush that my youngest son skype toured the home to his friends back in Wisconsin. The location is perfect - outside the tourism of GNP and Whitefish, but close enough to both. Sarah and Ryan keep the house in great condition and have this vacation home rental down pat.
