“Family vacation 2016”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2016

We found the cabin to be as beautiful as advertised. The views at all hours of the day were simply stunning. The cabin was well kept and clean with attention to detail noted, especially in regards to the coffee and the bottle of wine. The instructions for all electronics were well written and easy to follow for both outside and inside devices. We were pleasantly surprised when owner Don Ward, called to confirm we had no problems or issues on our day of check in.

Response from the owner Greg Cindy and I are pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us at Park View.

“Amazing Cabin with Breathtaking Views”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2015

When we arrived we couldn't believe our luck. So often you rent a place and it does not live up to the hype. Well Park View exceeds the hype! Gorgeous cabin, very clean with everything you need, We were 2 adults, one teenager and an 11 yr old, bedrooms and game room were perfect! The views are stunning! it is perfectly located to get pretty much anywhere and yet far enough away to feel like you are all alone on planet earth. If we come back to TN this is where we will stay, we have recommended Park View to all our friends.

Response from the owner We are pleased that you and your family enjoyed our spectacular view and amenities at Park View so much. Thank you for choosing our cabin for your summer vacation in the Smoky Mountains.

“Exceeded expectations! Killer view!”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2015

The cabin exceeded our expectations! We have rented out vacation homes before but this by far is the best one! It was super clean, and everything that was promised was there. It had great extra bonuses, such as a bluetooth stereo system that will sync with your devices, and great little details around the house that just made it special and welcoming. The only criticism I have of this cabin is the drive up to the house. If you are unfamiliar with driving in the mountains, make sure whomever is doing the driving is not skidish about sharp turns and steep inclines. The view was absolutely worth it though, but it kinda changed the dynamics of our trip because none of us wanted to drive up at night or during any rain. We do not live near mountains. I can promise you though that I found it hard to find any other views in Smokey Mt. Natl Park that matched the beauty from the view of this cabin!

Response from the owner We are very pleased that you enjoyed our cabin so much and that it exceeded your expectations. Our view overlooking Wears Valley and the layered Smoky Mountains is truly spectacular.

“Great Vacation in a Great Location”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2015

I took this vacation with my daughter, son-in-law and 3 young grandsons. The cabin was immaculate, spacious, and comfortable. Don was there to answer all of our questions very promptly. My grandsons loved the movie theater seats and the jacuzzi tub :) There is so much to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and this house is in a GREAT location to get ANYWHERE! The view is amazing, we enjoyed eating breakfast out on the main floor balcony in the mornings. We will have many fond memories of our time here. My grandson said just yesterday, "I miss Tennessee!" Thanks!!

Response from the owner Glad that you and your family enjoyed your vacation at Secluded Pointe, the theater room, and our beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains.

“Great Birthday Stay”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2015

We rented this cabin for the weekend to take a group of teenage girls to celebrate a birthday. They had a great time playing games and just hanging out at the cabin. We all like it and it had plenty of room. The view from the cabin was amazing! There was still snow on the ground and it was really pretty. Don was easy to work with and let us know that the road had been scraped of snow so we could get to the cabin. We enjoyed the cabin and had a great time!

Response from the owner So glad that the girls enjoyed the birthday weekend at Park View and enjoyed our Game Room.

“What a wonderful weekend!”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2015

We had the privilege of spending 4 nights in the beautiful cabin. Two nights with our adult kids/family and two night for just the two of us. It was well equipped and well taken care of. It had all the amenities you could ask for and the view was incredible. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. Don and Cindy were great to rent from. The experience was so easy.

Response from the owner Very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Park View and all of amenities.

“Look no where else - this is THE best cabin”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2015

We loved this cabin. It was clean, roomy and bright. Each of us had our own bedroom, and the beds were comfortable and luxurious. The kitchen had everything to stay in and cook; and, for those who don't want to cook on vacation, Don provided information about local restaurants. We had family billiard tournaments, and family movie nights in the theater. This cabin had everything you could want in a vacation. The hot tub was fun overlooking the starry sky over Wears Valley. The road up to the cabin is steep and winding, but made for great home movies. It is narrow and a little difficult to turn around if you make a wrong turn. Unfortunately for the driver (me - who must keep his eyes on the road), I did not get to enjoy the breath taking views as we drove up and down the mountain. I got to enjoy the views as we did family hikes up and down the steep roads, though. It was great exercise for the body, mind and soul; and, the views kept your mind busy instead of focusing on how tired you were getting. Waking up every morning in the master bedroom to a view of the smoky mountains was incredible. Each morning we sat on the porch with a fresh cup of coffee and the camera. The pictures we captured of fog draped mountains and valleys speaks volumes of nature's beauty. While there is much to do in Wears Valley/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg (Legacy Mountain Zip Line, the Alpine sled, outlet mall shopping, hiking in Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the gondola, etc), I must recommend that you make it back to the cabin to watch from the porches as the sun sets over the mountains. The color changes in the sky from red-orange to purple to the deep dark blue/black of night cannot be matched anywhere in the world. Thank you Don and Cindy for letting us use your Park View Cabin.

Response from the owner Very pleased you enjoyed your stay at Park View and our pillow top mattresses and fully equipped kitchen.

“Everything as advertised”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2014

We completely enjoyed the stay we had at Park View. They call it Park View for a reason. The scenery from each deck is spectacular. We were able to view constellations and planets one evening that we won't forget. We enjoyed cooking on the Weber grill which was great to uncover because I love to cook on the grill. We have three teenage boys 19, 15, and 13. They were really pumped up when we arrived and took full advantage of the game room, theatre, hot tub and there king size beds! My wife and I really loved the wide open feeling in the bedroom loft with the views igreeting us each day. The cabin is clean, well maintained and has all of the ammenities you can imagine including large fresh smelling towels and to much to list. When we did have some trouble with the hot tub, Don had someone come the very next morning to fix it. It was our pleasure to work with Don who is a class act and very helpful. He made us feel like more of a family member then a customer. I highly recommend this cabin to others. The location is outstanding with just the right amount of distance to all key locations in the Smokey's. Stay here you will not be disappoinnted.

Response from the owner So glad you enjoyed your stay at Park View and our spectacular view overlooking beautiful Wears Valley and 30 mile view of the Smoky Mountains.

“"Spectacular views!!"”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2014

Our family had the pleasure of staying at Park View in June 2014. The owners of this home have spared no expense in creating a perfect base for a vacation in the Smoky Mountains. Our 4 kids (3 teenagers one 10 year old) loved having their own area and made great use of the billiard table, home theater set up, arcade game and hot tub. The views are truly breathtaking, and during our stay, the weather was perfect for relaxing out on the deck. Wears Valley is a good base for both Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg and is a charming place in itself. During our stay, we enjoyed hiking (so many hikes to choose from!), white water rafting (definitely recommend Smoky Mountain Outdoors), exploring Cades Cove (we saw a cub!) and checking out the over the top attractions in PF and Gaitlinburg. There are so many things to do nearby, but Park View in itself is a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. Don and Cindy have been exceptionally thoughtful hosts. You will not be disappointed.

“"Great Vacation!"”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2014

The best vacation property we have been at. The fire pit and deck were very enjoyable, the game room and entertainment equipment were great. The clear directions included from Don for the video/sound equipment were very helpful. The cabin is very secluded and has a wonderful view of the valley. It was very peaceful to sit on the deck, listen to the waterfall and look out over the valley. We rode the Alpine Coaster, rode ATVs at Bluff Mountain Adventures and ziplined at Wears Valley Ziplines. A great vacation!
