“Absolutely fabulous, one of the best vacations!!!”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the opulence of this Morocan style villa that steps away from the beautiful ocean and amazing views of sunsets. We felt like queens for the 7 days we were there. There is a full time housekeeper, grounds keeper, and a night watchman. I felt completely at home from the moment I stepped in the door to the time I closed the front door for the last time. (sniffle, sniffle) I spent most of my time either relaxing in the infinity pool, that over looks the ocean, or catching some narly waves body surfing or boogie boarding (boards supplied). I loved staying at the Villa Marrakech and am looking forward to returning again and again. For the first time, I didn't need a vacation after my vacation when I returned home because I was completely relaxed. Vacation doesn't get better than this.

“Couldn't have chosen a more magical place to stay!”

My family and I spent a week at Villa Marrakech this summer. I must say that I was speechless, from the first moment the front gates opened, and it only got better and better as we explored the house itself. The house was unbelievable, truly a piece of paradise! The pictures cannot prepare you for what this home entails. The ocean was literally just outside the back door, steps from the infinity pool, and you could hear the waves crashing at any given time. Morning walks on the beach are an absolute must. I wish I could pick the highlight of my trip to share with the readers! We rented scooters, explored, and shopped the nearby streets of Tamarindo. My kids surfed each day, watched the monkeys, iguanas, and birds in the backyard, and spent endless days/nights swimming in the infinity pool. There are so many great restaurants within a mile of the property. We spent a day deep sea fishing which may have been my favorite. The staff (housekeeping, security, groundskeeper) were perfect! I cannot imagine returning to Costa Rica and not staying here again. Pura Vida!!

“coastal paradise”

This vacation stay is a coastal paradise with ammenities meeting high expections. It is very relaxing, scenic and accommodating with luxurious rooms and every detail provided. You can enjoy all the beaches and coastal activities such as snorkeling, sailing and supreme surfing right in your back yard. Other fun activities include zip lining, hiking the rain forest, waterfalls and natural mud springs are available... or you can enjoy a relaxing massage without leaving the front door. This paradise should be everyone's destination and a once lifetime experience.

“An Ideal Vacation in a highly desired area of Costa Rica!”

Conjure up an image of your most ideal vacation and my guess is, it will include, white sand beaches, crashing waves, copper sunsets, and perfect weather. Add to that, a very comfortable bed with luxury sheets in a large, beautiful, immaculate home, big enough for your family and your friend's family. My perfect vacation also includes activities like surfing, scuba diving, zip-lining, tubing and horseback riding. We did all of this while staying at Villa Marrakech on Playa Langosta. The activities are a short drive so you don't have to spend your entire day getting there. Relaxing at the gorgeous zero-entry pool, at the end of the day's activities, was my favorite down time. Literally steps to the sand from the pool and I was diving into the waves or collecting seashells. There is an outdoor shower where we could rinse off before laying out at the pool. This home sits right on the beach - truly beachfront property, and the water is clear and clean. There are lounge chairs, tables, hammocks, and both sun and shade for all. Inside the home is a gourmet kitchen with plenty of room for everyone at the large island. The separate dining table was perfect for big dinners. The spacious rooms have separate bathrooms and beautiful views. The huge plazma TV with all the channels was a big plus for my husband. This was by far my favorite vacation in ten years because the home was so pretty, comfortable, and clean, and it is stocked with everything you need to relax for days or weeks.

“Happy Place”

Have visited twice! The home is so unique and beautiful and met all our expectations. The sunsets are amazingly stunning. Perfect for families or couples. The house is extremely private and all you can hear is the sound of the waves. The staff were attentive to our needs-we always had clean towels and linens, and a friendly smile. The location is very convenient to the main town and we had no problem walking there on the beach or using the roads. We always felt very safe and well taken care of.

“Welcome to Utopia!”

I have traveled all around the world, stayed in the finest hotels and houses. This was my first time to Costa Rica and we choose to stay 10 days in Villa Marrakech - boy are we glad we did. The house is a work of art! It is right on the ocean - with all the accouterments, open floor plan, beautiful stone work and amazing infinity pool - we felt like we were dreaming. The sunsets are amazing - you will have the time of your life!

“Pure Vida! Pure life Villa Marrakech Costa Rica”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2012

This was the best vacation I have ever Had! The Villa Marrakech is a spectacular Morrocan designed Villa. The moment I walked in it took my breath away, I walked out to the pool overlooking the ocean, the sound of the waves hitting the beach just relaxed me instantly. My husband and I were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary, It was so romantic we spent everyday in the pool, walking on the beach, and each night we walked out of the house onto the beach and watched the beautiful sunset. Each morning the staff had my coffee ready, then my breakfast when I was ready. I have never been treated so well. It was the hardest thing to leave and go home! Each night we went to town for fabulous dinners, I recomend Season's filet mignon and blackened tuna , also Noguis for fresh banana cream pie!I can't wait to go back, I bought wonderful sun dresses, hand made jewlery from local stores in town. Everyone is so friendly! I understand the local saying pure Vida it means pure life that is the way to live!

Response from the owner Dear Guest. I appreciate your positive feedback about Villa Marrakech. We do take pride in catering to our guests' needs the best way we can. If you're traveling to our area gain soon, don't hesitate to call us.

“Wow! I felt like a Shiek!”

Villa Marrakech is fantastic! Once the gates open up and you get off the dirt road, it feels like an palace. Not what I expected after shuttling in from Liberia along dusty roads and past typical South/Central american buildings. This place is so unique that it really is hard to describe. You walk through the front entrance, which is surrounded by fountains, into the great room, which is walled with glass so you immediately see straight to the pool and the ocean. To the left is the dining room and kitchen and to the right are two master bedroom suites, which also overlook the pool and ocean. The beach out back is more-or-less private, so I loved to float in the pool and watch the waves crash below without being bothered. One downside is that you really can't swim/surf out back, but the rocks make for great pictures...especially at sunset! Never seen such amazing sunsets. Rivermouth beach and Tamarindo beach are basically 10 minutes walks in either direction for great swimming and surfing. You can also walk to town, which is fun and easy, something that a lot of other homes in the area can't offer. The staff is very friendly, though really only speak Spanish. I got by with charades, which worked fine. The house is very clean and tidy. It also has modern appliances like full-size washer/dryers, dishwasher, BBQ and refrigerator with ice dispenser. There is also a massage table in the garage so take advantage of that. My favorite restaurants in town are Langosta Beach Club and Ttiki. Sharky's is fun for the party crowd or the sports fanatics who need to see games. Best of all, Haagan Dazs distributes their Belgian Chocolate flavor there...something I haven't been able to convince them to do here in the States. Ja's! Basically this place is the bomb and I can't wait to go back. I felt so relaxed there that it took me almost a week to get back up to speed when I got home.

Response from the owner John, We are so happy that you enjoyed your vacation. We were glad to see you visit the villa both in April and in July. We love the private feel of the Villa and the remote but accessible feel of the property. It is a luxury to walk to Tamarindo and enjoy the world class dining, activities, and surf. Thank you for your gracious comments. Saludos, Villa Marrakech
