“Great Villa - Wonderful people”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2013

We had a large group stay for 3 weeks in Oct. 2013. The villa is very spacious, exceptionally clean accurately represented in the website. The caretakers could not have been nicer or more helpful. We did a lot of cooking and had everything needed to prepare and serve meals. The furnishings are a bit sparse and the sofa not the most comfy but adequate. The views to the sea and mountains are exceptional. The village is quaint but has little to offer except for Nini's...great! You need a car to explore. Lots of Dvds but no English TV stations. Excellent Wifi connection. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Delight in abruzzo”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2013

My wife and I along with three other couples enjoyed two weeks in this beautiful villa. The views are great enhanced by fantastic sunsets 12 or the 14 days. The villa is clean and spacious. You don't bump into your friends. Our highlight was a "chef-in" night. Wonderful food and service. Pietro and his parents were always on call for us and could not have been more helpful and kind. We'd love to come again.

“Great views, fantastic terrace, lots of space for us all”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

We were 2 families of 4, with older children. The space was great, as we all always had enough room to either be together or for the children to go and be by themselves if the wanted to. It was quiet, safe and very relaxing - we spent every morning relaxing with a slow breakfast on the terrace. Great views and a good location - though of course you need a car. Wi-Fi worked well, beds were comfortable, and plenty of bathrooms were convenient - though more dedicated showers would be useful. Abruzzo itself has a huge amount to offer - wonderful beaches and amazing hill top villages, and mountain hiking.

“Excellent value for the price with superb views.”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2012

Our experience was very positive, overall. The villa is spacious but somewhat spartan in decor and the bed in the master bedroom has a mattress on top of wooden slats which made a good night sleep impossible. We moved to one of the twin bedded rooms in desperation. Having said that, the outdoor terrace was amazing with beautiful views of the adriatic in the distance and wonderful sunrises. We spent hours enjoying those views. The owner provided us with an emailed information packet that was excellent, including pictures of storefronts, that was very helpful to us since we were new to the area. The village of Montesilvano Colle is charming with wonderful panoramic views of the valley and the restaurant NiNi was a real find. We ate there twice. This villa is an excellent value for the price.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at our villa and I am so pleased to hear that your overall experience was very positive. I am also pleased to confirm that since your stay we have upgraded all the beds in the villa and taking measures to improve the villa decor. We want to continue to be recognized as the top vacation villa rental of choice in Abruzzo and it is from feedback like yours that helps us to improve and enhance our guest experience at the villa. Thank you once again for your review and choosing to stay at our villa and we hope to be able to welcome you again very soon. Best wishes Daniela www.abruzzo-villas.com

“wonderful”

This was a wonderful Villa and the view and comfort was incredible. Highly recommend. If you are going to use the kitchen, bring napkins, salt and pepper, dishwashing soap, etc. There is a store very close to the property, but be prepared to add these items. Daniela and her family are wonderful and will help you with any issues. very welcoming.

“Fantastic villa in abruzzo for family vacation”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2011

The villa was beautiful and enormous providing lots of space, but still had an intimate kitchen and eating area. Spectacular views of the mountains, ocean and Montesilvano Colle village. Very large property set a top a hill with large balconies enabling you to sit in the sun all day if you wish. The town was a short drive away or 15 min walk with a bar, shop, cafe and a couple restaurants and a beautiful view. It was a short drive to the main st with all amenities and also not far from the beach and outlet shopping. There was also a large selection of dvds in the house and free wifi. The only downsides would be that the matresses were not very comfortable, but we still managed to sleep pretty well. The family (uncle) who provided the keys and showed us the villa was extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel like extended family. Overall, the visit was amazing and we dreamed of buying the place to come back to every year. Highly recommended!

“Peaceful location with a wonderful view.”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2011

The check-in could have gone a little more smoothly and we could have used curtains on the showers, but otherwise it was a wonderful villa that I would rent again.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review of your stay at our Villa in Abruzzo. I really do appreciate your feedback; it is from feedback we receive that helps us keep a track and improve on guests experiences in the Villa. I would like to sincerely apologize for your check-in delay. All guest check-ins are very smooth but this time I understand we missed the mark as we spent a bit too much time refreshing the villa when the previous guest before you checked out as we wanted to ensure the villa was in perfect order for you before you checked-in. Rest assured that this was a one-off delay and all guest check-ins are very quick, I am only sorry that there was a delay this instance. With regards to shower curtains... there seems to be a lot of discussion on this subject by tourists that visit Italy. If you Google “shower curtains Italy” you will find many tourists like yourself questioning why many bathrooms in Italy (including, Luxury Hotels, Vacation Rentals, B&Bs etc…) don’t have shower curtains and the answer is that it is simply a cultural thing where Italians prefer not to have them. So for us it is a balance between keeping both our international guests and Italian guests happy – however, we are looking into this and have already installed a shower curtain. Thank you for choosing to stay at our Villa and thanks once again for your review - we hope to welcome you again soon. Best wishes, Daniela http://www.abruzzo-villas.com/

“The villa was a top notch venue for us to have as a home base.”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2011

My family and friends were on an adventure through abruzzo - one place we visited was San Vito Chietino where we found my grandfather's birth certificate. The villa was a wonderful home base for us - exquisite views, spacious rooms and balconies,well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities and a welcoming atmosphere which our 20 visitors enjoyed over a month's time. Daniella's Villa Quick Points information brochure was an invaluable aid and her family was constantly helpful to us visiting Canadians. Eating our Canadian version of Italian spaghetti al fresco as darkness fell and the panorama of lights emerged on the hillsides was an absolute joy! The villa was very clean and the availability of extra single beds made setting up for visitors easy. We would recommend the Cerrano Tower beach just north of Montesilvano for visitors - quieter, with parking and restaurant. Montesilvano Colle became a second home to us - very friendly with lots of atmosphere - good restaurants, church, post etc. We consider ourselves blessed to have come upon this villa - it suited our purposes perfectly!
