“Magnivicent”

Just like its name this place was magnificent. The views were incredible. Everything we needed was at our finger tips. The host could not have done anything more to make us feel right at home. Loved every minute. Thanks

“Our second time here”

Reviewed 1 May 2014

We first stayed at this home two years ago. We enjoyed our stay very much & was our first thought for our arizona trip this year. The home is located in a nice residential neighborhood. It has mountain views both front & back, but especially from the large back deck. It has everything you need for a long or short stay (we were here seven weeks in Jan. & Feb., but they can accommodate shorter stays). We especially enjoy having a washer & dryer. The home is appointed nicely (although we felt a lazy boy chair could be added for relaxing). They have recently redone the floors & they are very nice. The step-in shower in the master bath is handy & even has a shower radio. However, the back deck will soon need painting & the deck chairs need replacing as they are getting quite worn. There is not daily maid service but the house is cleaned well between visitors & is in good order for your arrival. The owners are very good if something does go wrong. We arrived late the first night & the furnace was not working. Because of the lateness of the hour, it couldn't be fixed that night, but someone was there the next day. In the meantime, we were furnished electric heaters to keep the bedroom warm for sleeping. The furnace worked well after being repaired. There is lots to do in the Cottonwood-Jerome-Clarkdale area, plus you are only a few miles from scenic Sedona. Our favorites are the quirky little town of Jerome up in the Mingus Mtns. & the Out of africa Wildlife Park which is great fun for the whole family. Although we cooked at home quite a bit, we took time to enjoy the area's many restaurants. Our favorite is Haunted Hamburgers at Jerome where the hamburgers are really good. If you are into physical fitness, please give the Cottonwood Recreation Center a try. We are a senior couple and found this home to be convenient, relaxing & a great home away from home. We would recommend it for younger couples & families also. We would definitely stay here again.

“Perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts and relaxation.”

I have stayed here during the summer! This place becomes your home away from home. You wake up, make some breakfast and start your glorious day. After exploring the national parks and towns in all directions you are exhausted and come back to your own place. The house if fully equipped and very spacious! You live like a local not like a tourist. The host is chic, professional and easy going. Not to mention an experienced hiker and camper herself!

“Perfect for the whole family”

A perfect long-weekend getaway for my family. My kids are already asking when we can go back to the "bunk-bed house". It was the perfect set up for my husband and me, our 4 young children and Grandpa and Grandma.

“Perfect Spot for a Girls Retreat”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

I booked this home for a short Ladies Retreat. We stayed in the home for 5 nights and loved every second. The home has a ton of space and I don't think you would feel crowded even if you took two or three couples with kids (depending on the number and energy level of the kids of course). We loved being able to use the kitchen to cut back on how much we spent eating out and were able to pack light since we knew we could do laundry. The owners of the home gave us a ton of local information so we had a starting point for where to eat, sights to see and where to find a good swimming spot. They were also readily available for questions via email before and after booking. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful, comfortable home”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

We loved staying in this home. It is large, beautifully appointed and convenient to everything. The home was very clean and comfortable for our family. During our stay we hiked to a local hot spring, felt the vortex energies of Sedona, went to RedRock, Slide Rock, the Grand Canyon, visited a Buddhist Stupa, had dinner in Flagstaff and just enjoyed the amazing scenery of the area. There are many nice restaurants nearby and shopping is convenient as well. We couldn't have chosen a better spot!

“Awesome”

Stayed here 2 nights during early March, great house and very comfortable accommodations. A short drive from Sedona and a lot of amenities that enabled us to cook and hangout without the confines or cost of a hotel

“It was a very good experience”

We did Campfire, grilling too here. The owner is very nice and accomodating. I will recommend this place for a group of 6 or more people.

“Enjoyable stay in this lovely home for reasonable rates.”

This was our first time renting a home for vacation rather than being in a motel. It was an excellent choice. We stayed for the month of January with another senior couple. The home is located in a nice residential neighborhood. It has mountain views front and back, esp. from the back deck. It is about 20 miles from the pricey rents at Sedona but close enough to take in the activities and sightseeing there. It is a roomy home all on one level with three large bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. The third bedroom has bunk beds, the upper bunks being for younger children only. However, we slept on the lower bunks when we had overnight company and rested very nicely. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all roomy also and we had plenty of room to cook and dine, watch TV and enjoy the deck. All the amenities are there. There are dishes, cooking utensils, linens, dishwasher and washer and dryer. There is not daily maid service, but the maids do a nice job of cleaning in between different guests. We found the home in good order when we arrived. There is lots to do in the Cottonwood-Clarkdale-Jerome area. Our favorite is the train ride at Clarkdale and visiting the unique mining town of Jerome. It is also close enough to make a day trip to the Grand Canyon, which we also did. There is a casino nearby also. We did have a problem with the furnace, but I called the owner and within 10 minutes, the repairman was there; problem fixed. We would be happy to stay in this home again.

“Memorable”

We had a wonderful time. Big spacious house inside and out. Close to many activities to do with the family young and old. We would consider renting again with friends for the weekend and other side of the family also. We were there in the summer would love to see the area in the winter..
