Yosemite Ranch offers a unique opportunity to experience dome home living on our secluded 60 acre ranch. We are only a 25 mile scenic drive from Yosemite National Park and only 6 miles from the beautiful wild & scenic Merced River, a popular destination for fishing, swimming, and whitewater rafting. The Yosemite Dome Home is located on the top of a private oak studded hill offering scenic views in several directions. It is quite common to see some of the numerous deer in the area grazing in the pasture or wild turkeys wandering by. Enter the Yosemite Dome Home and enjoy the spacious feeling created by the big picture windows and the high domed ceiling complete with skylights. Almost everyone remarks upon entering that the Home "looks so much bigger on the inside." The main floor offers a master suite with a queen size bed, dresser, and two closets. The beautiful dining area looks out a large picture window to a view that goes for miles over several ridge lines. There is a large living area with comfy couches to relax on or enjoy the large screen high definition satellite TV and DVD player. Free DSL internet access is also available. A wood burning stove and gas heater add warmth during the cooler seasons. During the hotter months enjoy the refreshing cool breeze of the evaporative cooler. The spacious kitchen includes a gas range, oven, microwave oven, and refrigerator. Out the rear door, is a yard fenced with six foot high chain link. Heading upstairs, you will find the "Slumber Party Loft" which has a private dressing room and two "wings" each with two twin beds and end tables, chairs, and lamps. The Dome Home has one bathroom with a smaller but adequate shower, sink, and toilet. While the bathroom is not fancy, the Dome Home makes up for this in spacious accommodations, beautiful views, and peace and quiet. The numerous quiet gravel roads in our area are ideal for beautiful and peaceful hiking. All necessary linens, towels, and bedding are included as well as dishes, glasses, silverware, and a coffee maker. Total maximum occupancy of six. Please note that rates are based on double occupancy. If you have more than two guests, please be sure to enter the correct number of guests when booking to get the correct rate.

Spacious, clean, quiet, secluded and comfortable. This dome house was exactly what we were looking for. For the pet owners, this place is pet friendly. There is a nice secure fenced area for the dog, no pet fee is a big plus for us. It was also nice to meet Irene and Brad, they are thoughtful and wonderful hosts. I had many questions about the area but they were willing to answer any questions I threw at them. Can't wait to come back.
“Quiet and Beautiful”
My wife and I stayed here for a few days to visit Yosemite and get some peace and quiet. The home was perfect for it, it's quiet and secluded and probably about 30-40 minutes to the Yosemite entrance. The loft area would be perfect for a handful of kids. Irene and Brad are wonderful, friendly people and located right nearby to help with anything you could need. We even walked down to visit with their horses one evening. We also enjoyed watching the turkeys and deer every morning and evening from the dome home. Our stay was very relaxing and we would definitely return. Highly recommend!
“A tranquil vacation spot near Yosemite and Mariposa”
The Dome Home and Yosemite Ranch are absolutely fabulous! My husband and I traveled there with our canine kids and spent several days enjoying the gorgeous views and wildlife. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs and the house feels bigger than it is because of the cool dome shape and skylights. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. It very secluded and only takes about 30 minutes to get to the El Portal entrance of Yosemite and the drive along the Merced river is beautiful. Brad and Irene are very friendly and helpful. The horse ranch is lovely and we spent a lot of time enjoying the quiet. Morning coffee out back, sunsets and star gazing made our trip. For the dogs, it was the horses, deer, and wild turkeys. :) We will definitely recommend this place to others and stay here again!
“Great setup and location near Yosemite!”
We stayed at Dome House for a few days in May, Brad and Irene are lovely hosts. The accommodation provided a great base to explore Yosemite which is a one hour drive away. House has perfect setup for couple or family with everything you need eg. Kitchen, TV with cable, BBQ and decent sized living area. Whilst it is literally in the middle of nowhere don't let this stop you as it is a beautifully remote location with amazing views of Yosemite, plus lots of wildlife e.g. Wild turkeys, deers, coyotes and lots of birds!
“Home away from home”
We had a great time at the Dome Home. Brad and Irene were pleasant hosts and stayed up late to check us in. Their home was peaceful and secluded enough to give us a nice break in between our long hikes in Yosemite. They even had charcoal and lighter fluid set out for us to use. We will hopefully see them in the future!
“Incredible scenery, comfortable home, easy access to Yosemite”
We enjoyed our brief stay at the Yosemite Ranch Dome House very much. Brad and Irene bend over backwards to make sure everything you will need during your stay is provided, from a well-equipped kitchen to a flat screen TV. We enjoyed the scenery tremendously and learned a great deal from Brad about the animals that share the 60-acre ranch -- gorgeous black arabian horses, a pig named Petunia, a while mule named Snowflake, a baby calf as yet unnamed and many more. A great place to come with the kids! We were six adults and an infant, and the house accommodated us all quite nicely.
“Comfortable, Relaxing and Clean”
We couldn't have been more impressed with the seclusion of the home. Irene and Brad did all they could to make sure our family was comfortable. The morning scenery is breath taking. My husband and I are hoping to make it back to Yosemite National Park and we will definitely be staying with Brad and Irene once more.
“Lovely home in a gorgeous location”
We had a wonderful stay and Brad and Irene were great hosts. The home is very spacious and comfortable and the view is to die for. If you're looking for peace and quiet and not too far from Yosemite we would highly recommend the Dome Home.
“Nice view and nice owner. Also very convenient to town and Yosem”
The Dome is on the top of hill and has nice view of Californian style ranch. Driving to to town or Yosemite is very convenient. The Dome is two story and large enough to accommodate 4 to 6 people. Check-in took 3 mins at the Owner's house 300 ft from the dome.
Comfortable, clean farm house close to the nature. Very quiet where you can see during the sunset the wildlife. Brad and Irene very friendly and helpful. A real farm life. We enyoyed our stay there.
