Time to plan your 2019 Jamaica winter vacation at this gorgeous private estate, 8 acres overlooking the ocean on the lovely north coast. Your rental includes services of a chef, butler, housekeeper and groundsmen. Food, airport transfers and excursions are not included. The staff will prepare and serve your meals and do all the daily work in the property while you relax and decide the next day's menu, or wait for your afternoon cocktail at the outdoor patio overlooking the ocean.
Bring 14 family members or a group of friends; relax in the peace of the estate or enjoy the many excursions -- rafting down the Rio Grande, stopping for Belinda's famed open air riverside restaurant with Jamaican food as you've never tasted it before. Work it off with an evening of lively dancing at a local nightclub. And the beaches - Portland Parish has four of Jamaica's ten best beaches and our beaches have no crowds, no fuss, no soliciting.
MAIN VILLA of Norse Hill Estate: 4,000 sq ft of architecturally inspired living with charming details. The four large bedroom suites can accommodate up to 10 (additional charge for 9th, 10th guests). Each has fans and netting over the beds so that you can leave the walls of windows open to enjoy the fresh breezes and the morning bird song. All the bedroom suites also have a/c.
GARDEN COTTAGE: A nostalgically designed wooden chalet on two levels; upper king size bedroom with ocean views; wrap-around deck with outside bathroom (louvers for privacy) with a second twin bedroom on the lower level also with deck and outside bathroom, plus a small dining area and kitchen. Capacity 4 persons (not suitable for children under 8 - outside stair connects the two levels.
Occupancy for main villa and Garden Cottage is a maximum of 14. Contact us for details and pricing if you wish to reserve main villa and Garden Cottage.
STAFF: Norse Hill Estate staff are highly rated by our guests. The full staff of housekeeper, chef, butler and two groundsmen means total relaxation for you! Allergies? Vegetarians? Vegan? No problem. Our chef has long experience and can provide a delicious meal to meet the needs of all our guests. Cost of food is not included in the rental.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS: There are many international flights to Kingston and Montego Bay airports. Kingston is closer but air or road transfers from either airport can easily be arranged at reasonable cost. Our driver will be waiting for you. Check with us for details. Cost of airport transfer is not included in the rental.
EXCURSIONS: The local manager can arrange any excursion you want, often at short notice. Check our reviews to see guest favorites. There are many choices and our manager will make sure you get the best prices possible.
WEDDINGS: Romantic, intimate, never-to-be-forgotten weddings! The gracious villa, huge lawn, gardens filled with rare trees and plants, all combine to provide a spectacular ambiance for a small, intimate wedding that will glow brightly in your memories. We work with a wedding planner who specializes in creating magic that will fit any budget. Response from the owner Nathalie, you really went into the history of Norse Hill Estate! It was built in the heyday of the Portland region and we are proud that it remains one of the loveliest properties you can find near Port Antonio. The gardens were indeed specially designed and contain many rare botanical specimens. The first owners spent years establishing the gardens and decorating the house. We are delighted that you were able to relax here despite your hectic schedule in producing that beautiful wedding!
