“Superior Location to Duomo/Academia”
Delightful, quiet, 2nd floor apartment (lift for luggage-stairs for guests) half way between Duomo and Academia. Easy taxi ride to and from train station Frienze S.M.N. Apartment looked like the pictures although sofa hideabed needs cleaning. Kitchen well-equipped and small grocery store on same street, about 2 blocks away. Great to have washing machine in apartment. (No dryer but easy to use hangers to dry). Iron also included. Wi-Fi User friendly. Many shops, restaurants and easy walk to Centrale Mercado for food court upstairs. Trattroria Za Za was a treat. Florence is so busy with tourists; this apartment is a cool oasis away from all that. Owner Magda and son Jacapo speak English. Highly recommend this apartment.
We had a wonderful stay at arianna. It has a fabulous location, it's clean, and comfortable. Two bedrooms makes it perfect for a family or 4 friends. The owners Magda and Massimo are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. They made us feel like family. Amazing Italian bakery downstairs, You get the feel of true Italian living in a beautiful setting by El Duomo. Highly recommend it!Hope to return someday
“Central but noisy”
Arianna is very centrally located and within walking distance of all attractions in florence. The service we recieved interms of booking, deposits and payment was excellent. There was a minor issue with initial access. When we entered the flat we were rather disappointed as we were told that all the apartments were 4star. This one is not 4star probably 2.5star. The kitchen/lounge is tiny, the chairs at the table and the two wicker arm chairs are garden furniture and not comfortable. There is a bed settee also along with a very small TV with only local channels. The major plus was that there is free Wifi a positive. The shower room was dingy and the toilet had a loose seat. The double bedroom was fine and comfortable but spoilt with empty packaging (5 boxs) from new bed side lamps and just too much furniture. The twin bedded room did not have any duvets and our friend did not enjoy her experience of staying there. There was also strange smells in the wardrobes. I thought that the apartment is in need of some attention in terms of general maintenance and decoration. However I do understand that this is a very old building. To strike some balance we did see the Magda appartment that our friends rented in the same block and that was far superior and we were jealous as I had put them onto this rental. The locaton was great but unfortunately there were two sources of noise. Just down the street is a night club and every night we were woken between 2am and 3am with revellers shouting in the street. Unfortunaely with the narrow streets the noise has no where to go but up and arianne faces out onto the street. Even closing all shutters and windows we could not keep the noise out. The other issue is that it is very close to annunziata piazza which is sleeping place for many homeless people, they were often noisy late at night. The Magda appartment did not suffer from these noise problems. We enjoyed the sights of Florence and locally there are some lovely restaurants. Ciao.
Staying at the Oyster was an absolute pleasure. The owners went out of their way to make my stay convenient and comfortable. The property is beautiful, clean, well equipped, and perfectly located in Firenze. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Florence.
Positives- -Brilliant location, easy walk to most major attractions -Lovely apartment, not luxurious but very clean with everything you'd want including laundry -Owners Magda and her husband Massimo were very helpful with a number of tourist type questions Challenges- -We were there over a weekend when a major sporting event was on so a fair bit of very late night street noise. The only town drunk within 1 km hung out on the corner block yelling at the top of his lungs until (his) bed time around 7.30 am. My wife and I are both light sleepers so that caused some issues. Overall, great place and so long as you're not a seriously light sleeper, I couldn't say enough good things about the apartment and would stay there again- with ear plugs...
“Tidy apartment in an excellent location.”
I lived in the arianna apartment for three months during 2012. The apartment was above and beyond all of my expectations. It is easy to keep neat and tidy and contained everything one could want in a furnished apartment. Its also exceptionally close to all of Florence's most famous attractions such as David and the Duomo. Magda and Massimo are also excellent owners who were very quick with assistance whenever any minor issues arose (i.e. the washing machine not working). Overall, I had an excellent experience in arianna and would stay there again.
