Aloha! "Our Piece Of Paradise" is a BEACHFRONT, Ground Floor WALK-OUT with an unobstructed view of a beautiful, quiet, sandy beach that is only 29 steps away. Our beach is reef protected, meaning the waves break offshore on it. So the ones coming in on to the beach are pretty calm. Making our part of the ocean good for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and sailing. And it is especially good for small children.

We spent 2 months remodeling it when we first bought it, and we always seem to do something more every time we come. Last year we remodeled the shower. We took out the tub and put in a new tiled shower with a bench and plenty of niches for you shower items. Check out the pictures, we think it turned out really good!

We have a true 1-bedroom (not the small sleeping alcove some call a bedroom). Our condo is 728sf inside with a 100sf lanai. Many people have told us we have the best location in the building. Our unit is one of only two full size one bedroom condos in the building with an unobstructed ocean view that also has the convenience of being able to just walk right out to the beach. Of course we like ours the best because we recently remodeled it.

We purchased "Our Piece Of Paradise" six years ago now, and the first thing we did was remodel it. The kitchen was the most time consuming, but it was worth it...and it was a labor of love. We completely gutted the kitchen, took down the old ceiling, put a new tile floor in the bedroom, replaced all the appliances and furniture. This included putting in a queen size murphy bed for a second bed, because we don't think a sofa bed or futon is comfortable. We also got all new lanai furniture, including two lounge chairs because we noticed the complex doesn't have enough to go around and we wanted our guests to be sure they had some.

We've hired the best cleaning person in the building so our guests can be assured the condo will be freshly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for you to enjoy. We have tried to stock our vacation home with all the things we enjoy when we are traveling. One of my favorite things is the Murphy Bed. You will have the choice to sleep in the bedroom on the king size Sealy Plush bed, or in the front room listening to the waves and waking up to see the Sunrise from the queen size Serta Euro-Top Murphy Bed. We also have new SS appliances, cabinets, countertops, rattan furniture, linens, dishes & silverware, cookware, beach towels & mats, boogie boards, snorkel gear, coolers, and much more. We have lots of dresser, closet, and cabinet space, so you will be able to empty your suitcases and make yourself at home. We've also read our guests comments and picked up the things they suggested we have that we didn't think about before.

Our goal is to have you walk in...take one look at the gorgeous ocean view, feel the tradewinds blowing through, listen to the waves...and immediately relax & let all your stress start melting away. Close your eyes and imagine it now...doesn't it sound wonderful? We like to sit on the lanai and watch the waves break on the reef, sometimes we even sleep on the murphy bed when it's just the two of us just so the waves can lull us to sleep. It is truly our idea of Paradise! We have seen big Sea Turtles sleeping on the beach at Sunrise, and Whales spouting and breaching in the ocean from November to April. We enjoy beautiful sunrises in the morning and moonrises at night.

You will have the beach practically all to yourself, because there is no public beach access. The pool area is also just for residents and their guests, you need a key FOB to enter (which also helps to make it so kids can't come in without their parents). Unlike most rentals, we have no lock box to mess with. You will be welcomed by our agent who will show you where everything is, how to use it, and will be your on-island contact person while you are here to help with any questions you may have. You will have "No Worries" as the locals say...only to decide if you are going to spend the day on the beautiful beach outside your lanai or go for a scenic drive along the coast to do some sightseeing.

We are located on the North Shore, away from all the Honolulu traffic and congestion, but still just a beautiful 45 minute drive (thru the mountains and along the coastline) from the airport. We are centrally located for many popular tourist attractions. We're 10 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU campus, Laie Temple, Kualoa Ranch, and good boogy boarding beaches; 15 minutes from Turtle Bay Golf Course; 20 minutes from the popular surfing beaches and Waimea Valley; 25 minutes from Kaneohe; and 30 minutes from Kailua and Haleiwa.

We would love to share "Our Piece Of Paradise" with you and help you make wonderful memories of your visit to Paradise! Hopefully it will become "Your" Piece Of Pardise, too!! One of our favorite sayings is, "What happens in Hawaii...........stays with you forever"!!

Getting around

There is a bus stop in front of the complex, but we recommend you get a rental car to fully enjoy the island. We do provide you a free, assigned parking spot close to the condo also.

Interaction with guest

We are one of the few owners who employ an agent to welcome you. You won't have to mess with trying to find a lockbox and figure out how to get to the condo. She'll give you your keys and parking pass, show you where everything is, how to use it, and she'll be your on-island contact person while you are here to help with any questions you may have. She's also a good source of fun things to do, that is if you want something more than the Things To Do List we've made up for you. We also furnish way more then just the basic starter supplies that most owners leave for you.

Response from the owner Wow, no one has ever called me deceptive! I am always open and honest with all our guests. We had no idea there was a problem until our next guests asked about it. I then checked with our building manager right away, and he told me a motor had gone out and it wasn't caught for a few days. We have a new septic system ordered, but everything in Hawaii seems to take a lot longer to get done. The above ground system there now is a temporary one until the new one is installed. To address her other comments. The lockboxes are in the process of being moved to another location. Yes, the bathroom is small, as it shows in the pictures. But it does have a large, beautifully tiled shower. Yes, the pool is cold. But don't you come to Hawaii for the ocean? Playing is allowed on the lawn, just not throwing or kicking balls, cause it could break lanai windows. I'm glad she at least did acknowledge they had a good time with all the snorkel gear we supply.
