“perfect!”

Reviewed 8 Feb 2014

We visited windswept2 the last week of January with out not-quite 2 year old daughter. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our whole experience! The condo itself is just fabulous -- high quality appliances in the fully equipped kitchen, lovely living area with a great view to the Caribbean. The trade winds are relatively constant, essentially eliminating the need for air conditioning. Bring bug spray -- there was a mosquito hatch while we were there after a couple night's of showers. windswept is equipped with most everything you need. People have left extra sunscreen, bug spray etc. and the owners provide coolers, beach towels and the like. We had a blast touring around the little island in the provided golf cart -- make sure to get up to the top of the small decomissioned battery; you can see for miles. The master bedroom faces the channel that the cruise ships enter the harbor through daily. it is a treat to watch them come in and leave daily. The pool is great -- you can sit and watch the sun set over cocktails and dinner nightly. We had Helene (waterislandcatering@yahoo.com) provision the flat for us, and brought a suitcase of cereal, crackers etc. We really enjoyed being able to have a good breakfast and lesiurely dinner at the condo. Heidi's and Dinghies on honeymoon beach are a blast. great drinks, and the burgers at Heidi's are amazing! We had great luck with Kelvin's Taxi Service (340-513-3636). He brought us from the airport to the ferry, and to a couple places around the island. They were always on time, happy and willing to help move whatever luggage you had.

“Amazing vacation!!”

What a great vacation!! I was there for a relaxing girls trip, and I could not have asked for anything more. The property had everything we needed. It was very clean, comfortable, and the pool was perfect! I cannot say enough about the amazing views! Sunsets were gorgeous, and I really enjoyed watching the cruise ships come in and out. We spent a lot of time at Honeymoon Beach; we took day trips to explore St. Thomas and St. John. The convenience of having the golf cart was also great for getting around the island. I would absolutely recommend this property and look forward to going back soon!

“Pure Tropical Bliss!”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2012

First of all we would like to say a huge Thank you to Mark and Vicki for the welcome mat they put out for us on our arrival. They made us feel like long lost friends and couldn't have made things easier for us. We really loved meeting them and they really love what they do. Staying at Windswept was absolutly wonderful. The Villa had everything under the sun that we needed and could have ever hoped for. Thank you so much for putting such nice amenities in the home. There wasn't one thing that we could say that we would have done better if it were our own! When Mark and Vicki met us at the ferry dock, we went right to the Villa and we were so happy to see that Honermoon Beach and the Villa were so close and we could be anywhere in just a few minutes. We loved taking the golf carts out for a ride around the Island. It made vacationing so easy to not have to rent a car to go to the beach. Most of the time, we were the only one's there and the ladies who run the snack shack are so sweet. The sunsets at night were amazing! We will definatly return same time next year! It was the most relaxing, rejuvinating vacation. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Sincerely, Craig and Shelly Roger and Tiffany

“Hidden gem in the Caribbean”

Windswept was the perfect Caribbean getaway! This was my first time staying in a vacation rental instead of a full-service hotel and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. The condo is beautifully appointed with obvious attention to detail. Everything from the kitchen appliances to the floor tiles were obviously chosen with great care. The condo is very clean and spacious. The beds are so comfortable that I never would have gotten up if not for the relaxation that awaits you on the island. The hardest decision of the day was whether to sit by the pool or head to the beach! Windswept is well equipped with everything you need for a day at the beach including chairs, extra large beach towels and a cooler. Water Island is fabulously tranquil and all of the people are so friendly. St. Thomas is an easy ferry ride away - less than 5 minutes by golf cart (included with the condo) to the dock and less than 10 minutes on the ferry to reach St. Thomas. There is a grocery store right at the ferry dock on St. Thomas which made picking up provisions easy. The owners of Windswept were very helpful and made our stay smooth and enjoyable. Their on-island property manager was available 24 hours a day which eased any worries we may have had about staying in a condo versus a hotel. I can’t wait until next year when I will definitely return to Windswept!

“Windswept - Condo in Paradise”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2010

A perfect adventure getaway! Windswept is everything it promised! We had an amazing time on Water Island and the condo provided everything we could possibly need. The interior design – the kitchen, living area, and bedrooms are nicely done and the space of the condo was perfect for our group. The views, the pool, and the space are perfect! Everything was beautifully maintained and very clean. The location is perfect and is an easy golf cart ride or walk to the St. Thomas ferry and honeymoon beach! I would recommend Windswept to anyone and I hope to visit again some day soon!

“The best vacation I have had in a long time!”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2010

I recently took a trip with four girl friends to Wind Swept on Water Island just a short water taxi ride from St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. It was spectacular. The home is set such that views from the ocean horizon of both sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed on an expansive tile patio surrounding the home and the luxurious pool. We spent our time on the island enjoying the home, honeymoon beach and nice walks around the island. Off the island we enjoyed shopping on St. Thomas, a day of sailing around St. John and snorkeling. The kitchen at Wind Swept is fully functional with all the comforts of home - we had fun cooking and blending some delicious island cocktails. I fully recommend this piece of paradise to any and all who hope for a perfect vacation.
