“La Casita Was Perfect In Every Way”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2011

My fiance and I stayed at La Casita with our good friends last weekend. This little house was the perfect choice for us. It has two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and tub. It allowed us to be comfortable and still share our time in Napa together. We loved using the patio and hot tub in our downtime and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. La Casita's location is also perfect in that it truly is walking distance from downtown Napa. We will absolutely be coming back to Napa and when we do, we will stay at La Casita. It is truly a great little house and a great value!

“The perfect place to stay!”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2011

My friends and I have just returned from a lovely stay at La Casita. This charming house is located in a picturesque neighborhood -- an easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. The house was so much nicer than any hotel might be - the beds were wonderfully comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment you need to do breakfast or an occasional BBQ - and almost anything you might need (or forgot to bring) was provided: lots of towels, toiletries, laundry soap, extra blankets. We felt at home immediately and hope to return. It's a great place to spend a perfect Napa vacation!

“Perfect House for a Girlfriend Getaway!!”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2011

My friends and I had such an amazing weekend at La Casita! The 5 of us were in Napa for our annual college roommate vacation - we arrived on a Wednesday night and left Sunday morning. La Casita was very comfortable. We utilized the grill, backyard patio and hot tub on more than one night. Your house is such a perfect place for a girl's getaway. It is so convenient to shops, restaurants and wineries. We had a blast!!

“Fabulous!”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2011

My friends and I came to Napa to celebrate our girlfirend's birthday, and have a girls weekend. This location was excellent! It was close to downtown, and Oxbow Market, with all the new places to eat, as well as close to hwy 29 so we could get to our wine tastings quickly and easily. The house was adorable, and clean, and the hot tub was great to relax in. Overall I would highly recommend this house to stay in. We will be coming back for sure!

“Our favorite home-away-from-home”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2010

This is our third stay at La Casita. Our stay this time was for two weeks. We love coming to Napa but hate staying in hotels. This little house allows us to travel while having all the comforts of home. Every aspect of La Casita is cozy. We especially appreciate the comfortable beds, the heating/cooling system in the house that keeps the temperature pleasant, and La Casita's convenient location in Napa.

“Cute place but wasn't what I expected”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2010

The casita was cute on the inside but very small. We did love the hot tub outside, the grill & the outdoor fireplace - those were our favorite parts of the stay. It was in a nice location too. It also was nice to have a washer and dryer on the property. We didn't like that the living room was so tiny and the couch was on the smaller side. The coffee maker was outdated and didn't work very well (leaked) so I ended up going out for coffee every morning. I have a rental of my own in Florida so I may be a bit harsh but I thought there was alot that could have been updated better (and for very cheap). I would replace the carpets in the bedrooms - the current ones have spots and look dirty. The place wasn't as clean as I would have liked (there was dust and hair on the floor). Bathroom was also very tiny and smelled a little musty..like it needed to be cleaned. We think the smell came from the shower curtain so that should probably be changed. I think the casita was over priced based on our experience.

Response from the owner I'm sorry that Jule was not happy with the size of the house. I though it would be perfect for her honeymoon. The house is small, which is why we named it La Casita - "the little house". I have to agree with her that the review was harsh. I was surprised to hear that the coffee pot was leaking, two months after their stay since no one else had mentioned it. I made a pot to double check, and it is working. I can only imagine that they must have been over filling it. All of the furniture is from Macy's and Pier 1, so it is not top of the line, but it is not cheap and most people find the decor charming and comfortable. In fact, every time I go in the house, I still think how cute it is! The mattresses and linens are top quality and we frequently have guests comment about how comfortable they are. The carpets did have some red wine stains and have been replaced since Julie's stay. I think that if anyone looks at accommodations in the Napa Valley, they will agree that La Casita is a much better value than a hotel and very competitively prices compared to other rentals. Of the volumes of guest book comments that I have and online reviews on various sites this is the lowest rating I've ever received ;-(

“Excellent Houst, great location!!”

Reviewed 20 Dec 2010

If you are looking for a place to stay in Napa, look no further. This place is only blocks away from dining and shopping downtown and is a very comfortable, private, clean place to stay. For two couples you can't find a better rate at a B&B; or a hotel. Thanks Belinda!

“Great rental for couples or small family!”

Reviewed 17 Dec 2010

My husband and I had a wonderful week in the Napa Valley. La Casita is in a perfect location to be your "home base" if you're visiting wineries throughout the area. It's also close to many downtown tasting rooms, restaurants and Oxbow Market. The beds are super comfortable and we found the living area to be very comfortable. It was nice having a kitchen, even though we only cooked a full meal once during our weeklong stay. There were just too many good restaurants in the area! La Casita is a nice alternative to a hotel because you have more privacy and more space. I definitely recommend this property for a romantic couples vacation. It would also work nicely for a small family, since there are two bedrooms and one bath. The owner, Belinda, provided a wonderful list of local attractions and restaurants to check out. Her recommendations were spot on!
