“Stunning first class mountain retreat”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2014

The lodge is absolutely fantastic...the pictures do not even compare to the reality of this place. The view is stunning and we enjoyed relaxing out there by the outdoor fireplace with our coffee and most meals...There is even a covered porch swing that we were able to use when it was raining and see the rainbow over the mountains. The children were well occupied playing pool and foosball and air hockey as well. The kitchen is gourmet and we enjoyed preparing several meals there. Also, it is super convenient not only to town and the national park, but also to one of the areas biggest attractions, the OBER ski kids loved the alpine slide up there. The attention to detail in the decor is unmatched in any of the places we've stayed before and the beds were super comfy as well!

“Amazing cabin, amazing location, and amazing view!”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2014

My family had a wonderful time staying at the Beat Paw Lodge (July 12th - 19th, 2014).. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who might be reluctant about "roughing it" in a vacation cabin. From the AGA and GE monogram appliances, extremely comfortable bedding, modern electronics, zoned HVAC system and large game room, you will be reluctant to leave it behind to visit downtown Gatlinburg (which is just a short drive down Ski Mountain Rd.). The look of awe on the faces of everyone, as they stepped through the front door, was priceless. This cabin was obviously not what they expected to find. Everyone spent the rest of the week, discovering the many fine details hidden throughout the cabin. The local maintenance staff, was very friendly and responsive, when we called them for a small repair (A handle on one of the upstairs toilets came loose), I would like to thank Patty for answering our questions and assisting in the repair in a timely manner. I am sure, my family will find many excuses to re-visit this "cabin" (more like a mountain mansion), in the future.

“Bear Paw Lodge amazing luxury and unforgettable experience”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

The minute you open the door at Bear Paw Lodge, your breath will be taken away by the extensive hand carved craftsmanship, deck views of the mountains and city lights at night and the gourmet kitchen. This is not your typical cookie cutter log cabin, it's a resort! The Lodge has all the amenities you would want and more. Of course everything was first class, from the water fountain bath tub in the master bathroom, to the extensive game room, to each bedroom door having its own "personalized" wood carving. The location was great as it was less than 5 minutes to town but secluded with direct access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and a trail just steps off the property. On the one morning we took a break from the gourmet kitchen and found the Blueberry Inn that serves awesome breakfasts and dinners. Its a bed and breakfast whose restaurant is open to the public. Its less than five minutes away up in Ski Mountain in the Chalet Village. The property managers were very friendly and helpful and provided for the best customer experience we had in a long time. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend the Bear Paw Lodge so much so we are already planning on returning for our next vacation.

“Bear Paw Lodge - An Unforgettable Lodge On Top Of a Mountain!”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2014

Staying at Bear Paw Lodge was an incredible experience for so many different reasons. First off, it was a visual feast. Everywhere you turn you find gorgeous and completely unexpected architectural detail. As we walked through the lodge our expectations were exceeded in every way. Not only was everything beyond beautiful, it was also so easy to relax into. We loved sitting by the fire (indoors and out), cooking in the gourmet kitchen, and lounging on the deck to take in the stunning sunsets. One of our favorite things about staying at the lodge was its shared border and direct access to The Great Smoky Mountain National Park -- it was like having the park as your backyard! Our hike down from the lodge to the nearby waterfalls was serene. I would highly recommend Bear Paw Lodge to anyone who is looking for a memorable getaway. It really is the ultimate in rustic luxury.
