“Another Wonderful Stay!!!”
This is our third trip back to this wonderful home and island, and with each visit we fall more in love with each! We enjoyed a 6 night family stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The guys planned each day around high tide for fishing off the kayak provided at the home or at the beach, and caught plenty of sea trout for dinner most days and were always trying to catch the many Snook around the green dock light at night...and they finally caught two this year! Wow, are they good eating!!! The gals enjoyed the beach and reading while the grandkids searched for an abundant array of shells and sharks teeth on the beach. But our favorite place was the pool with it's nifty waterfalls and abundant tropical landscaping! This year we had four lounge chairs around the pool instead of two as in years before...thanks Blake, it was a nice treat for us gals! As with each stay, Blake was very informative and helpful with fishing and area info, and was always available to us if we needed anything. He takes great pride in keeping the home in immaculate condition and surprised us this time by leaving us a few dozen shrimp upon our arrival. That was great, as we arrived after the bait and tackle shop closed on the mainland, so we had plenty of bait for a few days. The 6 passenger limo golf cart makes getting around so much fun on this small island, and we made a trip almost everyday to Coconuts or Rum Bay restaurant for ice cream or a wonderful dinner or lunch. We like to take a cold drink to the tip of the island just around the corner from the restaurant and watch the sunset at Stump Pass. It is amazing how Stump Pass has changed over the last year due to mother nature! We saw a fisherman land a nice Snook there. I think the highlight of our trip this year was seeing the three Manatees at the dock, as well as the porpoises that followed the guys in the kayak for twenty minutes! We will definitely be back again to our favorite home on Palm Island!
“Wonderful island retreat!”
Our family had a fun and relaxing time on the island. The Grand Cayman is a wonderful, comfortable and very nicely appointed home. The pool area and tropical landscaping could not be better. We fished off the dock daily and caught mangrove snapper, sea trout, ladyfish, pinfish, catfish and shark. We saw snook but could not get them to bite. The kayak was a plus for getting around in the harbor. Thanks to homeowner Blake for the conversation and fishing pointers before arrival. Our family of four rented the six person golf cart for getting around the island and it was great. The beaches are beautiful and relaxing (especially Stump Pass). Thanks Blake for sharing your home. We will definitely be back.
“The "Grand Caymon" as well as Palm Island far exceeded our expec”
We experienced an exceptional vacation. The property is very tropical and meticulously maintained. The pool is beautiful and the sails provide comfortable shade. The dock allowed us to enjoy fishing every day of our visit. We caught a variety of fish such as snapper, pin fish, flounder, speckled trout and puffer fish. We also enjoyed these fresh fish for dinner several evenings. The home is exceptionally clean, comfortable and accomodating. We explored the island everyday in the "red limo". We went to the beach and the resort as well as just riding around the island. Blake made this a memorable experience. We will definitely be returning!!
“Another wonderful stay at Grand Cayman!”
We just completed our second stay at The Grand Cayman, and it was just as wonderful as the first time we stayed there (one year ago). We couldn't be happier, the house was immaculate, the decorations made us feel at home, and the Landscaping was even more beautiful than I remembered from last year! We regularly saw dolphins and even saw Manatee's a couple of times! My husband thouroughly enjoyed the fishing, and my daughter couldn't get enough of the lovely pool! Needless to say, it was a sad day when we checked out! We'll definitely be back next year! Thank you Blake for a truly wonderful week!
“We had a wonderful relaxing vacation at the Grand Cayman”
My wife and I had a wonderfull relaxing stay at Grand Cayman and would definetly recomend this property. Blake very graciouly offered us alot of valuable travel advice prior to our departure and followed up once we were settled in to ensure everything was in good order. The private pool was nicely heated and very private, and the dock was a pleasure especially in the morning with a pot of coffee. The beach was beautiful with only a handfull of people on it at any given time. It boasted a wonderfull assortment of sea shells and sand dollars free for the picking. We rented the six person golf cart which was not only fun but made it easy to explore the island at our leasure. Watch out for the turtles when your driving around they cross the road frequently. The Home was nicely decorated well equipped, private and very comfortable. We took a boat tour with Boca Boats and the hosts Kathleen and Craig not only gave us a great tour, but had an uncanny ability to attract pods of Dolphins which followed the boat as we cruised. The Rum Bay resturant was a good value and the food was very good. Kim from Palm Island vacation rentals was very accomodating and a pleasure to deal with. R/B Roy Edmonton ab. Canada
“Just Perfect - Couldn't ask For anything More”
My stay, Sept. 22-29, 2010 was a great time to be at your Grand Cayman House as the weather was absolutely perfect. It is appropriately named with all your beautiful tropical landscaping as it was like being on a island without all the tourists. Really enjoyed the private pool with the waterfall, fishing and seeing the manatees off your big dock and driving the golf cart around the island, to the beach and going for ice cream or dinner at Rum Bay. Every night I went to the beach to view the great sunsets. Look forward to coming back many times and also at different times of the year.
