“Charming condo and clean as a whistle!”

Reviewed 9 Dec 2013

We stayed for one week in mid November 2013 and it was perfect. So clean and charming with two bedrooms and two baths that are seperate from each other for added privacy. The entire complex has only 5 condos which I really love compared to some of those huge massive complexes. We walked most everywhere and it was a delight. I hope to go back next year. It really felt like a home away from home to me.

“Another Great Stay”

Reviewed 29 May 2013

My third stay at this Puerto Vallarta gem was great, as usual. Beautiful views, traditional decor, and all the comforts of home, made this stay very relaxing. There's easy access to the pool, which is shared with only 4 other units. Numerous options for dining and shopping are within walking distance. There's easy access, via multiple stairways, to Los Muertos Beach. The unit itself is well equipped with appliances and electronics, making for a comfortable stay. I really enjoy the leisurely, relaxing pace of this home away from home, and can't wait to get back. Recommendations: Walking on cobblestone streets and going up and down stairs are part of the experience, so wear comfortable shoes. I usually walk down to the beach, shopping and restaurants and take an inexpensive taxi ride on my return back to the unit. Upon arriving in PV, I stop at a convenience store and pick up ice and other essentials.

“Perfect location, perfect accomodations”

Reviewed 16 May 2013

My sister and I stayed in this rental while visiting Puerto Vallarta in May 2013. Wow! We were impressed with every aspect of the casita. The attention to detail was evident from the minute we walked in the front door. From the soft linens, to every kitchen accessory you could need, this casita had it all. And the location is perfect. Flagging down a cab driver is very easy. Not to mention walking to old town is not difficult at all 'cause it's all downhill. We found the casita beautifully decorated and with all the amenities we needed, including Wi-Fi, an apple TV, and he washer/dryer. The view from the living room and covered eating area made for a wonderful way to end the evening, sipping a cold beer, watching the sunset. The swimming pool was perfect to take a cool dip after laying out in the sun. We especially loved the surrounding plants and the stone frog that shoots water from his mouth into the pool. I have to say that I got my daily exercise in from walking up the four floors to the casita. Comfortable shoes definitely recommended. We hope Jim will have us back because we absolutely loved his casita!

“A most enjoyable, safe, secure experience.”

Reviewed 1 Apr 2012

The place was beautifully decorated and appointed. Everything one could need was there, even toothpicks! The daily maid was great and we never had to worry about cleaning. The neighbours were fun and helpful. The old town was very close and so we were able to sample the restaurants there. All in all, it was a delightful experience. Jim was always helpful whenever we emailed him. We hope to return.

“Delightful stay at "La aguilera"”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2012

"La aguilera" is a beautifully decorated, extremely well-equipped casita with wonderful views and lovely pool. We were most impressed with the owners' professional handling of their rental property from the financial arrangements to the very complete information package provided. There was genuine concern that we have everything we could possibly need. The location for us was ideal, since we enjoy walking and don't mind a few inclines and stairs. For those who prefer taxis or buses, they are readily available and inexpensive. The proximity to the old town and restaurants positions this casita well. Yes, the road is a little noisy but that's Mexico! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. Muchas gracias, Gil. Roark y Jim!

“Ideal on so many levels”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2011

Great location with incredible views; easy access to the beach, dining and shopping; sun-soaked pool; every modern amenity and convenience within the beautifully decorated unit

“Classic Mexican style with all the amenities!”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2011

This is a wonderful vacation destination. The unit has two bedrooms with views of the bay and because it is up the hill, the sunsets from the open air dining area are beautiful. The unit has all the charm that one would expect of a Mexican rental; the attention to detail in the decoration of the rooms is wonderful. The property is beautifully maintained. The landscaping is especially well taken care of as is the cleanliness of the the unit. This was important to us. We also liked that the kitchen was well equipped. There are five units on the property. Each unit is on its own level. It is easy to forget that there are others staying. The pool area is quite comfortable and since there are so few units sharing it, it is a great place to spend a quiet afternoon or to start up a conversation with some of the other visitors. We were away from the noise if the downtown, but just minutes from the beach and restaurants. We would gladly return to this property.
