“Thanks giving Wedding at CoCo de mer”

Reviewed 3 Dec 2013

My husband and I just got back from a week at CoCo de Mer on St. John. While there, we celebrated our wedding and Thanksgiving! The house and Tommy, the guest contact on the island, were wonderful. The views from the home are sweeping and beautiful. The common areas and bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. Also, the kitchen is extremely well outfitted. Three minor issues are these: the walk to the private beach is long and difficult, especially for older folks and the pool water was pretty chilly. All in all, we had a wonderful visit and hope to return!

“My daughter's dream came true at Coco de Mer!”

"Tommy" provided us with fantastic concierge service. Whenever there was a need, it was quickly fulfilled with a smile. As for the villa itself, the location was convenient, yet secluded. The 5 bedrooms provided comfort, privacy and all the luxuries you would expect from a Peter Bay venue. The best part of all was the wedding reception. This is a perfect place for friends and family to celebrate a once in a lifetime event.

“Gorgeous and Perfect”

Excellent rental. Exclusive area nestled in the National Park. Close to everything. Some of our best snorkeling was of the private beach. All rooms are private. Super comfortable common area, fabulous kitchen, relaxing veranda and great pool and spa.

“Coco de Mer is a little slice of heaven...”

Reviewed 20 Dec 2012

We just spent a wonderful week at lovely Coco de Mer. Very conveniently located on the north shore, with Peter Bay's private beach within walking distance and several more beautiful beaches within a few minutes' drive, Coco is a perfect home base for a relaxing St. John stay. The property is lush and beautiful and so wonderfully appointed, you'll find it difficult to tear yourself away to see the island! The kitchen is fit for a gourmet, and the great room is comfortable and roomy. The balcony off the great room offers a stunning view of the sea and neighboring islands-- it's almost enough of a vacation just to sit out there and watch the vista change throughout the day. Our greeter, Tommy Ferrell, was gracious and hospitable, checking in on us a few times during the week to make sure we didn't need anything. And when I accidentally left my Kindle behind when we left the island, he assured me it was in good hands and got it back to me. All in all, an incredible place to stay in St. John. Great for large or small groups.

“Fabulous gathering spot”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2012

Our family of 7 loved our stay at Coco de Mer. We have 5 children (13-19 yrs old) that like to have access to activities, as well as enjoy peaceful realaxation. Coco has 5 very comfortable suites, and large indoor and outdoor gathering spaces which made for a wondersul week. St John is a beautiful island (reality is as good as the pictures on the web site), with many activities and adventures and some great restaurants. The service and accomodations at Coco were first class and I highly recommend it for a family or group.

“Extended Family- 50th anniversary Celebration”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2011

Coco de Mer was absolutely amazing. Our extended family flew into St Thomas from all over the us. We met in St John and spent over 12 days on the island. The villa was one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen. It was absolutely perfect, gorgeous inside, surrounded by tropical gardens and a great pool/hot tub. It was a close walk to the beach, easy for my 70+ year old parents to make the trip to the beach. It was super comfortable, large couched, comfy outdoor furniture, spacious, clean and stocked with all the things you'll need to make an amazing luxury vacation in the tropics! For our family of cooks and chefs it was the best, because no matter what type of utensil, cooking item, appliance we needed, it's available at Coco de Mer. We prepared gourmet meals almost every night, usually with the deluxe outdoor gas grill, and we dined in style. The shops are close to enough to get fresh produce and meats daily. Trunk Bay is a short walk away. The reefs off Peter Bay are astounding, alive with more sea creatures than one can recognize. I have already recommended to colleagues and would stand by my comment, that with the views of Cinnamon Bay right from the home, it's the best villa on St John.

“Beautiful home, convenient location, amazing views.”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2011

My wife and I took our 4 children ( ages 12-22 ) and their respective friends to Coco de Mer the last week in June of 2011. Our party of 10 used all 5 bedrooms of this beautiful house and never felt crowded. The design/layout is great, furnishing were tasteful and comfortable. With a few exceptions, everything in the house was in excellent condition. The outdoor grill got used quite a bit. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the tools you might need to cook. Great pool and hot tube. Convenient extra fridge downstairs adjacent to pool and outdoor shower. One of the best features of this home is the 5-7 minute walk down the hill to virtually your own private beach, Peter Bay. Even though the actual beach was not very deep, the shear beauty of the spot and it's privacy, more than made up for it's lack of size. If you need more space, simply walk down the beach a bit. And the snorkeling there was very good there as well. Note: the walk is not an easy one, consisting of some rocky dirt path, paved road and finished walk. My lazy children complained about the walk back up to the house. Good exercise we all needed ! Lower Peter Bay Estates is a very nice area and close to Cruz Bay, about a 12 minute drive to food, shopping and such. This house exceeded our expectations in many ways. I would like to see some of the vegetation in front of the pool trimmed down to open up the view from the pool area. Otherwise, a fabulous house and a good value compared with others it's size in the area. I would go there again. Red Hook NY.

“Wonderful experience”

We had the experience of a lifetime for my daughter's wedding. The villa gave an air of luxury and and elegance that propelled us to new heights. The location was both both breathtaking and convenient. We will be back.

“Coco de Mer is beautiful”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2010

Loved this villa with its incredible views, nice living areas and decks and great BRs. Also really like the proximity to North Shore beaches with a short 15 min drive to town. We were at many beaches within 2 to 10 minutes and loved returning to our villa to hang at the pool in the afternoons. The website says that you have your own private beach (Peter Bay Beach). It's true but a bit of false advertising as there was not any place to sit at the thin stretch of sand and it's about a 10 minute walk down a steep hill. We did it once but never went back and read the same from other reviewers. The snorkeling was decent at the Peter Bay Beach area so if you want to walk down and do a quick snorkel that is convenient. Overall the house is very well equipped with a great pool and about everything a large group could need. It's an easy drive to town. The BRs were comfortable and very nice and the house is supported well by the villa company. Anything we needed they got us in a fairly timely manner. It's a little pricey, but the views and accomodations are well worth it. The views on the website look great but in person they are way better. We were glad we stayed there with our large party and would return again if we come back to St. John which is such a pretty island.

“The perfect villa and location for your family to reconnect!”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2010

Coco de Mer was the perfect villa for our entire extended family, from my 95 year old mother to my 6 year old grandson. The property manager was very helpful and responsive to our every need. The villa itself had a fantastic view of Cinnamon Bay, a large pool and all amenities were top notch. The actual villa was even more beautiful than the pictures on the internet.
