“This was a place of calm in a busy world.”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2011

My husband and I enjoyed a week at your casita. We found that it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We enjoyed the burros and they liked the carrots. It was easy to take day trips to see many of the local sights. Bill is a charming and helpful host. We are recommending your place to our friends.

“Loved the Bed & Burro Inn!”

My family and I stayed at the Bed and Burro Inn over the Christmas holidays. We were in town visiting my sister and her family, and with her house just a few mins away - it was the perfect location! My daughter loved the donkeys and I loved the serenity of the place. Mr. Hubbard was very helpful and made the entire process a breeze. The house was clean and comfortable and worked well for four adults and a child. We will definitely be coming back!

“Honestly, best place I've ever stayed.”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bed and Burro while we were in town visiting family. Bill and Vicky are amazing hosts and it was just like staying at our own home. It is warm and welcoming and so cute! The donkey, dogs and horses were such a wonderful greeting whether we were coming home or leaving to start our days. We were so pleased with everything about our stay at the Bed and Burro Inn that it will absolutely be the place we recommend to everyone who goes to Tucson. We love the bed and burro!

“Beauty and the Burro”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2011

Basking in the beauty of the desert around the Old Pueblo lies the Bed and Burro Inn. A perfect respite from any hustle and bustle, this quiet gem is just what the Dr. ordered for anyone looking to get away with out having to go away. Close enough to the art and culture of Downtown Tucson yet far away enough to see every star the sky has to offer, you can sit back, drink some wine and tune in to the station that nature herself Dj's in the desert. Do yourself a favor and book an escape today. You'll be so glad you did.

Response from the owner Thanks Daved, Please visit us whenever your busy Hollywood schedule permits! We love having celebrities stay with us!

“Tucson casita”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2011

Good: very helpful and welcoming owners; wonderful location;lovely animals;comfortable beds; nice showers. Needs improvement: washer/dryer need to be replaced, or else cleaned and fixed; kitchen is almost unusable for anything other than reheating prepared food (needs counter space, sharp knife, decent cook surface)- all easily and inexpensively doable.

Response from the owner So sorry the Washer/Dryer was not working great. It has since been replaced with new unit. Kitchen is small and being upgraded. Glad you had a great time though!

“It was heaven!”

From the moment I made my reservation, my experience at The Bed and Burro Inn was excellent. Tha accomodations were more than expected, very clean and organized. Many books, games on site as well as info on surrounding attractions. The courtyard had a pool, benches and meditation areas-as well as the two resident Burros in the corral. The Host was extremely pleasant. I would not hesitate a minute to return to "Gods Country"!

Response from the owner Thanks so much! Not quite heaven, but getting close! I'm so glad you were able to relax and decompress!!

“Tranquility Comes with Two Burros”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2011

We weren't sure what to expect when we started our adventure at the Bed & Burro Inn. We came across it by accident, really. After driving some distance (the only drawback), we found a quaint, two-bedroom, simply furnished "hacienda" with porch, facing a lovely pool. To our right were, in fact, two burros, both of whom were rescued by the owner of our Inn. The interior was simple and charming, well-equipped, and stocked with great reading material, maps of the area and eclectic bric-a-bac. The entrance was off a private drive. We loved it. The head donkey wrangler and his lovely wife were gracious without being intrusive. They recommended the best "hole-in-the-wall" breakfast spot we've been to in a long time; inexpensive and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will certainly be back.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for our gift certificate to our favorite "hole in the wall". We hope you will visit us again!!

“Warm and Friendly”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2011

The best part about staying at The Bed and Burro Inn, aside from being awakened in the morning by the soft braying of Quill the donkey, is the warm feeling of the place. It feels like you're a personal guest in someone's home, because you are. The private driveway and entrance in the back is also a plus because you can come and go as you please without feeling like you're disturbing anyone or anyone is going to disturb you. And the quiet, except for Quill for a few moments in the morning, is fantastic, always peaceful and restful. If homespun is your style, then you'll enjoy The Bed and Burro Inn.

Response from the owner Quill only brays at people she likes!! She must really like you!
