Description

Experience the laid back Captiva Island lifestyle in this beautifully decorated Key West inspired 3 bedroom and 3 bath beach home on the beach side of Captiva's village center. It's located on very popular Wightman Lane, a short, 3-minute stroll on our private, sandy lane to the beach. Captiva's Caribbean style beach has been rated the most romantic for its calm, warm water, and gorgeous sunsets.

Captiva can be driven to easily in one hour from Ft Myers Airport. Not so with North Captiva, a totally separate island destination where cars can't go - just passenger ferry service from Cape Coral. Do not confuse Captiva properties on this site with North Captive properties intermingled within.

Virus Update:

Due to the Corona Virus shutdown, we refunded 100% of advance and final payments to all guest cancellations, even if within the no refund period. However, if the virus rental shutdown returns, any and all affected future reservations will be rescheduled, and if canceled, given a full refund - even if within the no refund period.

To further protect our guests, the A/C system is newly equipped with a hospital-grade, ozone-free system that kills virtually all virus particles. The REME HALO® whole home in-duct HVAC unit features high ionized hydro-peroxide output, which gives fast kill rates for microbial contaminants in the air and surfaces.

End of Virus Update

Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own private fully tiled bath and HDTV. Both the King equipped master and twin bedroom are on the top floor and have access to our large, furnished "Sun & Moon" deck. Actually, the deck can be accessed by any house guest from the seconf floor hallway. A full size Maytag Neptune washer and dryer are available in the 2nd floor hallway. The Queen guest bedroom is in a private suite area on the main floor of the house.

The house is extremely well appointed with amenities such as HDTV in all rooms, Onkyo audio system with iBluetooth, inside Infinity speakers and Yamaha outside speakers for the pool, a large music cd collection, i-Pod docking and cable LCD TV in each bedroom, all linens, a fully equipped kitchen and a Weber gas grill and spare propane tank on a paver stone deck next to the pool for outside cooking. Wireless high speed Internet access and free US long distance calling included.

Our private, screened 33 x 8 pool is heated year round to a comfortable 85 degrees. Depth is 5.5 feet in the center and 3.5 feet at each end and has a mosaic Sun & Moon on the pool bottom. The pool deck is covered with paver stones and totally furnished for sunning, dining or relaxing. Pool and beach toys, as well as beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs, ice cooler, and even a convenient beach cart to haul everything to the beach is provided.

Bicycles and golf carts are available for daily or weekly rental in the village center, and golf carts are street legal in the village area where the Sun & Moon is located.

We think you'll find our Sun & Moon Home to be perhaps the best prepared of all Captiva rental houses. Our Sun & Moon is not turned over to a management company; We personally supervise all cleaning and preparation of the house, pool deck and grounds every Saturday, right down to the music selection you'll hear when you walk into the house or pool.

We are the last to leave until you enter, and we don't leave unless it's perfect. Perhaps that's why our Sun & Moon, and our smaller Mermaid Home have both earned the Silver Excellence Award from Trip Advisor with virtually unanimous 5-star ratings from our guests!

RENTAL NOTES: Weekly rentals only. Check-in is Saturday as early as 2pm (14:00 hr).Check-out is Saturday at 10am ( 10:00 hr). We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express and other major credit cards. A $500 per week advance payment will hold your reservation, the balance not due until 60 days prior to scheduled arrival date.

Please note Fall Special discounted rate of $2,295 is for a maximum of 6 guests. The standard $2,695 rate is in effect for 7-8 guests.A $500 per week advance payment by credit card will hold a weekly reservation. The payment balance is due 60 days prior to scheduled arrival. Final payment may be by credit card or personal check. 11% Florida state and hotel tax is applicable.

Cancellation allowed up to 60 days prior to scheduled arrival with full advance payment refund. No refunds are given for cancellation within 60 days of scheduled arrival or after final payment is made unless home is re-booked for that period. We suggest our available travel insurance to cover cancellations due to health or weather related issues. We never charge security deposit, reservation fee, cleaning, linen or trash fees. All are included in our weekly rental rate.

How do damage deposits work?

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Larry & Debbie (the owner) a message.

If Larry & Debbie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
